I created a landscape booklet in Microsoft Word 2007, converted it to a PDF, then tried to print only to have the opposite pages print upside down. The settings are:BookletDoubled sidedDuplex printing, flip on short side.I have tried every imaginable setting to resolve this problem to no avail. Please help! Thank you!

Hi, I have written a script to auto populate a 5th field, I have 4 fields each with less that 20 to be put into them, if all 4 fields have less that 20 (each) then the 5th field is populated with Pass, if any of the 4 fields have more that 20 in it then the 5th field is populated with fail.I works sort of because if I change the value of var d then I can get pass or fail into the 5th field, if I change any of the other fields there is no change to the 5th fieldCan someone help, pleasevar a = getField("450").value;var b = +getField("350") .value;var c = +getField("250").value;var d = +getField("stroke end0").value;if (a,b,c,d<=20) {event.value = "Pass";} else {event.value ="Fail";}Thank you

How can I convert a folder of jpg files to pdf files?

I need to embed a sound via a button.  In 'add a sound' I try selecting either uncompressed WAV or AIFF files, generated by Amadeus Pro.  Acrobat Pro DC rejects both with dialogue saying only uncompressed WAV or AIFF files can be attached.  Seems to be no way round this.  I am trialling Acrobat specifically to embed WAV files in a PDF.  So, if I can't fix this, there's no point is buying.  Any thoughts?

Hi!I do a lot of work for tabletop gaming companies and I'm hoping to develop a feature in InDesign where the exported PDF creates and displays a random number between say 1-20 inclusive. I was looking at setting this up in the InDesign file, but I've been directed to post this query here. The random number would appear as though it was on the face of one side of a dice, and would be different every time you open the document.I've had a bit of help from a JS savvy mate, and are using the following coding:function d20() {  return Math.floor(Math.random() * 21);}the trick I'm facing is associating this function with a particular text box. Hi there,I am using PDDoc.InsertPages to insert 01 pdf page to another 400 page pdf and it takes about 5 minutes. Is there any other way to do it more efficiently? I'm using C++ for building our Adobe Plugins. I want to disable one of  the toolbar buttons when the document is opened in protected mode and until we click on "Enable All Features".We are using this call AVToolButtonSetComputeEnabledProc(cabinetButton, ASCallbackCreateProto(AVComputeEnabledProc, &CabinetEnabled), NULL); to enable/disable the button.I'm checking for Active Doc in the call back CabinetEnabled using AVAppGetActiveDoc()AVAppGetActiveDoc() is  returning null when the pdf is opened in protected mode until we enable all features where as  its not null when opened in Adobe DC.Is there a way that we can figure out if the document is in protected mode. ?Thanks in advance.

I am trying to create javascript to populate a field (FieldText2) with a dollar amount based upon whether or not checkbox1 (2 hours) or checkbox2 (4 hours) is checked multiplied by the dollar amount that is entered by the user in FieldText1.I've made multiple attempts but cannot get the javascript to work.  Thank you.

Hello,I am administrator in our company and I have problem/question.Although I disabled all online features using the Configuration Wizard, Reader DC and Acrobat DC still ask for proxy credentials until the users enter their data + check box 'save it'.Why does the Reader asking for the credentials and for what?Most users don't know what "proxy credentials" are although they use them every day at the internet browser - sad but true.And this circumstance causes error tickets. I am tired to say: "just enter your 'internet credentials' " >.< Is there any way to stop this prompt ?Thank you,Philipp

Hi,So I am working within Adobe Acrobat Pro X on a Windows 7 machine.  I have an action wizard which has 2 tasks - shrink the pdf to avoid overwriting of content and java script which applies label to document (via annotation).  The problem is sometimes the labeled documents are saved and sometimes they are not. I can't figure out why.  Today my colleague was unable to save the files after using this action wizard and sent the files over to me.  Interestingly enough, I was able to label and save no problem.  This happens intermittently.  I have been trying to find a solution and this seems to be a known adobe bug.  Is that true?  Could it be anything else?  I tried making sure Preview Pane is not on, etc.

Hi all.I'm trying to display a "TotalFee" field that needs to return the fees for sitting some exams plus some optional tutorial sessions.I have two checkboxes called "Exam1" and "Exam2". Candidates can select either or both of these checkboxes.For each selected exam, a fee of $90 needs to be added to the total (so $180 if both boxes are checked). I'm thinking I need to use two hidden numeric fields with a preset value of 90 in each, and then refer to this field if the associated checkbox is selected (unless there is an easier way to do this).There is also a numeric field called "TutorialSessions" that allows the candidate to enter the number of tutorial support sessions they want to book into before they sit either exam. Hello all - new to the forum. I have a 14,000 pg. (and growing) document, each page has a printed page(document) number in the upper right hand corner. Since the document number is always in the same place on the document, I would like to build a script that would enable me to use Text Recognition and then put the pages in order per this printed number.There is a possibility that each page/document number might appear twice in the file (one customer copy and one shop copy) and some numbers could be skipped altogether. The finished document might look something like this 1,1,2,3,3,5,6,7,7,8,10,10...ect...These documents are returned to me in a random order and I would like to be able to scan them as they come in and "feather" them in to the existing document in order per the document number.Thanks in advance for any thoughts on this issue.Chris

I have 6 fields with property value and 6 related % Ownership, then a grand total field.  My intent is to take property_1 x ownership = value, do the same for the remaining 5 properties, then add all resulting values for a total property value based on % of ownership.  I first entered script below with only one property (without the surrounding ()'s, and it worked fine, then I added the (), copy/pasted the same script & updated the names.  When I inserted the remaining properties, it doesn't work.   (Note, in the example below the calc would be $300,000 X 59% = $177,000).  Where did I mess up on the script? I have 3 columns of check boxes. All 3 columns total up the amount of checked boxes selected at the bottom into 3 separate fields #yes #no and #N/A. For the sake of this question lets say they total to 11,2,0. Now i need to get a percentage based on the yes column (85%) in another field.Im having a hard time figuring out how to calculate this.thanks

I have Acrobat Standard and Outlook 2013. I want to write a sub that opens up an attachment, invoke Adobe's OCR, and runs a regex test for a string pattern. I have this working to a degree, if the PDF is already OCR'd, I just open the attachment with Word and run the regex test against Word's .Content property which searches the entire document. If it's NOT already OCR'd, I tell the sub to save the PDF as a Word doc and then perform the same action but that has less than desirable results. Is there any way to invoke OCR without converting to another format and then run the regex test against the entire document? I have a form with a bunch of questions and then options Yes, No, NA. You can select a checkbox under each answer and then at the bottom i have a box that totals each column into "#Yes" "#no" "#NA". I have used the same script in ALL THREE boxes but only 2 (Yes and No) work. I am using latest version of Adobe Acrobat DC on Windows 7 64 bit. Everything is by default like I made the only changes at the provided video.The problem is when I highlight any next in the pdf, usually in the previous version of Acrobat the icons for Cut or Copy are going to be "active"(dark grey), when some text is selected and not active icons(white gray), when there is no selection. In the latest version of Acrobat this icons are white gray and not active when the text is selected. For me there is obvious problem between the icons Copy Cut and Paste, when there are on the toolbar.Please, follow the link at acrobat bug test - Vidme Please, it's there anything which I do or that's bug?
