1. Is there a way to lock the link triangle to the text?I am creating large documents with links to attachments in the same PDF file. There are a couple of quirks with creating links in a PDF that drive me nuts.  The biggest issue is that the link rectangle does not stay with the text, so if a line of text is removed from a page, I have to move the link rectangles separately.  I want the link to stay attached to the wording.2. Is drawing a rectangle around the wording the only way to create the link?  sometimes I may have 2 separate links wrapped at the end of a paragraph.  In order for the links to work properly I have to separate them out of the paragraph and draw the rectangles, otherwise, they overlap one another.  Is there a different way to do this that I have not figured out yet? Acrobat Pro started up in French. I have an English version and French is not even an option. I work with an iMac. I've already tried to reinstall Adobe Acrobat Pro but the problem is still there. I have this Creative Suite for a few years now and I never had this problem before. What can I do to make this English again?

I am a patent translator who translates Chinese patents into English. I downloaded a trial version of Adobe Acrobat DC because I am looking for a solution which can handle scanned Chinese-language PDFs, converting Chinese text and exporting them into Word. From Word, I can then import the Chinese text into a CAT (computer-aided translation) tool, where I can do my translation work. After translation, I need to layout the document. (Patents usually have complex layouts, mixing illustration with text.) Then I save it back to PDF format in English.Adobe Acrobat DC was not able to handle the scanned Chinese text, and instead generated garbled images which were not Chinese text. Is there a Chinese-language OCR (optical-character engine) which will plug into Adobe Acrobat which can convert Chinese characters from images into Chinese text? I am sure that there are good Chinese-language OCR engines around, and wonder which is best?Thank you in advance.

As soon as it attempts to open it immediately closes/crashes. I also have Adobe Acrobat X Pro on my pc and it will not open either. Reader opens fine. Any suggestions?

HiRegarding Acrobat Pro DC-I am unable to toggle off the bold setting. This is happening when I add text or edit text. The text I am editing does not contain any bold characters.Clicking on italics, subscript etcetera does not turn off bold. changing fonts does not help. It was working okay and then stuck in bold.Don't know what changed or if I did something inadvertently. Right now I can't do the necessary edits on documents for work.In the Lounge because I could not find a community for Acrobat Pro DC.Please share your expertise.Dave

I'm working on a project to process incoming PDFs.  I've created a dynamic stamp but the users need to be able to include another value in the stamp that's not an Identity property.  I'd like to add a text box to the Acrobat Toolbar area and be able to reference its content in the stamp.So:1) How can I add a text box to the toolbar area?2) How can I reference the text box's content from the stamp's javascript?Thanks,Christian Bahnsen

Our company is looking for the ability to edit lengthy PDF's that contain multiple languages from our equipment manufacturer.These PDF's contain around 4 sections per page, each section with a different language.There are also pages containing pictures/diagrams.We would like to edit out the sections of different languages so that we only have the English portions - this would allow us to also condense them down in length.Is this possible to do with the DC version?

I just upgraded Office 365 to the 2016 edition.  Now I cannot start Acrobat XI standard.  Instead, I get the following Fatal Error message: "Acrobat failed to connect to a DDE server."  How can I fix this?

Basically,I have a 3D modeland i need to add sticky to identify certain parts of the model...i have started adding sticky notes and inserting information etc...the one problem i have, and this is my lack of experience in this field....i have the comment list... ok.... when selecting one of the sticky note from the comment list, it appears....and up to here... everything is fine....problem is when i deselect sticky note... they all disappearwhen i zoom out they all disappear also....when i select a sticky note that was not in the view, the other sticky note from previous view disappear...i need to be able to have the sticky notes little icon i placed around the model always visible, i dont care about the pop-upalready the rollover shows the content of the stick note and that is fine... if needed they can open the pop up...anyone cares to help?thank you in advance!hope my problem was explained clearly!

I converted a pdf into a word document. The images are illegible now. I am in school and this document MUST be in WORD, however the originials no longer exist. I saved these documents to PDF which are perfect and read well! HELP! I don't know what to do and have limited time!

I have Acrobat Pro 9 ver 3 and updater sates it is running, but it doesn't update. I have run repair twice to no avail. Can't update and having issues.

Can I ask what is the latest I can upgrade with Adobe Acrobat 5? It seems that Adobe Online cannot get its an update or latest patch. I am wondering if there is an upgrade to Adobe Acrobat 7 or other versions. This may be an old / unsupported version of Adobe Acrobat but I am still seeking for available options without buying a new product. Please advise so that I can also notify my client about this matter.  Thank you.

Dear all,I want to save a webpage and its sub-docs as pdf with latest (trial) version of acrobat DC pro 2015: www.törn.de, but the software tries to download www.trn.de.Is there any solution for this? It seem to be a major bug for a so called pro software.Dirk
