Adobe Fonts

Hi, I'm having issues with activating Adobe fonts. All types I've activated so far do not appear in my apps (e.g. Illustrator, Indesign). I've restarted the apps as well, but without any luck. Must be doing something wrong?

New Adobe Fonts update seems to be messing with older files, this file was fine before but now it cant recognize Times New Roman. Is there a way to fix this or are we just going to have to update all of our old files? 

Hi,  The Acumin Pro 'Thin' font is showing up as activated on Adobe fonts, however when I try to access this font in apps like in design or premiere pro. 'Thin' says that it is activated but is not visible in these individual apps. I have created projects with these fonts in the past but I'm not able to access it anymore. I have signed off and on to my creative cloud and deactivated and reactivated fonts. Problem still persists. Can anyone help?  Thanks in advance. 

I need 'Nimbus Sans Condensed' for a project, but for some reason, even though my friends adobe account has the font activated, my adobe account says the font is not available... What gives?

Dear Adobe,Please let me manage my own fonts and stop automatically deactivating them for me. I'm a big boy, I can do it myself. Getting fonts back into use has been a mess, especially when trying to use them with non-Adobe applications (i.e. Apple Keynote). I'm constantly having to go to the font website to deactivate/reactivate and sometimes it still doesn't show up for use in my applications. Any change that a future update will make the automatic deactivation an option?

How does this new clause in the TypeKit terms for webfont licensing (Dec 31, 2019 deadline) affect websites you did for clients which are attached to your Adobe Kit ID#? Does this mean the client has to purchase the fonts being used on their websites in order to keep using them on their sites (assuming I have an active Adobe license)? What specifically does "web font hosting" mean in this context? Local hosting (i.e., on the client site)? Adobe hosting the fonts?Can someone from Adobe please clear this up? It is like pulling teeth trying to figure out the specifics on this clause from staff, and design forums outside of this one are abuzz trying to interpret the implications. It is potentially a huge impact if you have designed many websites for clients under your current Adobe TypeKit ID, which those sites are using of course. Again, let's assume the main account holder (the designer in this case) has an active Adobe TypeKit account.Thanks, Cory

Hi All,I have the problem that some font styles of Sofi Pro Condensed look different when I open an InDesign Document on different computers. (see Screenshot: same document, opend on different computers, no changes meanwhile) How is this possible – and any idea how I can fix this?Thanks, Dagmar

Hi Adobe Community, I have a Creative Cloud Free Membership, and I understand that this gives me access to some free fonts. I don't, however, have CC - I have CS6. Is it possible to use these free fonts with my CS6 apps? If so, how would I go about this? Thank you!

Can I use the fonts that come with Adobe's Creative Cloud, and use the fonts that are still on my Mac that installed when I installed Adobe CS6 in 2014 for commercial purposes please? By commercial I mean, for graphic design purposes, flyers, brochures etc. as long as I don't forward the fonts themselves on to anyone?  Whilst I'm asking, 'Packaging' artwork from InDesign for a printer collects all fonts used in the document, am I allowed to send these fonts to a print house? And if not should I then Create Outlines on the InDesign body text, titles etc.? Thanks.

Ich habe diese über Adobe Fonts gefunden und die Webversion in Dreamweaver  verwendet. Jetzt wollte ich einen ander Font aus dieser Familie verwenden und sehe das , die ganze Schrift Familie nicht mehr verfügbar ist. Ich wollte fragen, was ich jetzt tun soll? Hey Adobe, Long time user, first time writer. I've just activated a bunch of new fonts from the Adobe Fonts database. I'm on an up-to-date MacBookPro with Catalina. Is there any reason the new fonts wouldn't show up in Fontbook? It would make my life much easier if I could evaluate all my design  resources in one spot. Any help would be greatly appreciated,Jen Carter

Fist of all, my os is mac.  I ask this question because I am surprised that fonts activated in adobe creative clouds are usable with other apps such as the Word without be listed in the font book app. To be more specific, the activated fonts are downloaded in a hidden folder whose path is XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX, and the file names are just fonts id. How is this possible that other apps even know the existence of the activated fonts? I can only imagine that  there might be an environmental variable containing the path of the hidden folder, but what is the environmental variable?   (Admin edited posting to remove proprietary information!)

Hey All, Having an issue with any new font activated within the Adobe Fonts database. They will download to my machine (MacBook Pro, Catalina, no updates) but won't show up in the Fontbook. Any suggestions? I'd really love to view all my resources in one place. Thanks in advance, jen

I bougth several fonts - for example Frutiger - to use with Office Products.Order Nr: AD005435146CHI'm not able to download them with the original link from Adobe: www.adobe.com/store/de/popup/software/download_instructions/How can I install this fonts on my new Computer?If I have more than 2 installations: How can I deactivate them? I have the computers no longer.   

I recently activated a new font, Maiola, and now I'm coming across this problem I've not encountered before. The lowercase text towards the end of my text box is changing to arrow symbols, kind of like a font would do if you only have a trial license. I've attached an image to show what I mean. Maiola is activated, obviously, and I've tried reactivating the font, restarting the program... But it's still happening throughout the document. Any ideas? Thanks! 

Hi, just yesterday I was using the latest version of InDesign 15.12 on a PC with Windows and the Proxima Nova Bold and Regular fonts I have used for the last 3 years in several literature pieces won't activate. Why now does it not show up?

Hi there,When I attempt to use Adobe fonts (for example Caslon or Garamond) in Microsoft Word for Mac 16.40 (20081000) they appear as quite heavy bold even when I have roman selected. See the attached screenshot:How can I view these fonts normally in MS Word?Thanks!C

What is a good Adobe font to use for body text for a print magazine, with good weight, short descenders and a relatively short x height?

Is there somewhere, that I'm not seeing, which advises whether a font on Adobe Fonts is Monospaced or not. My chosen font was Dystopian however this isn't. I need a font, that is plain(ish) however must be non-proprtionally spaced, so each letter (or boundary) is the same width.   For example, 111 is the same overall width as 999Fri Mon would be the same total width I believe Courier is monospaced, but for my purpose, too plain.. thanks

Dear Adobe Community,I've found out that Escrow Banner is not available anymore. I use this font in many projects and I wonder if any of you have already found a replacement to this nice font. I don't have the cash to acquire the font by bureau. Adobe said they would provide, when a font is retired, an alternative font suggestion. However, I haven't received anything like this. Thanks for your help.
