Adobe Learning Manager

I recently published a captivate 8 software simulation and wanted to add it as a module on Prime.  I published it as a .zip, but when I go into prime to upload it, the upload progress stays at 0%.

How do I create a report that tells me which courses a specific user has completed? I don't want the 'statistics' or count of how many courses a user has taken.  I want to be able to pull open a report for a user and see all the courses (by name) that the user has completed.Please let me know.ThanksJen

Dear Adobe Captivate Prime Team,Is there any chance to have an Arabic version of the system in place? We are happy to offer the needed quality translation at no cost, and in fact had already things such as the standard email templates going out translated, and had an Arabic User Manual developed for the system. I've been able to upload a list of users with a CSV file.I'd also like to create a self-registration link to add other employees.What happens in the future when I want to upload another CSV file?Should that new CSV file include anyone who self-registered? Or will those who self-registered be treated differently?I was thinking that a new CSV upload, since this can be done automatically, would define the current list of learners in my organization (including removing inactive employees by excluding them from the CSV).Anyone know how this would work?- Pete

If I understand how this works we can have any fields we like in our CSV file so long as we have the 4 mandatory fields.What happens in the future if we decide we need to add some new fields?For example, I was very cautious with what fields I included in my first CSV file. I only had two extra fields. But I can see how I might want to add other fields in the future to help organize users.Can I do that without breaking something or is this forbidden at this point?- Pete

Last month I added 18 users to my Cap Prime account. I used a CSV file that included the learner manager's email account to identify the supervisor. No problem even though the senior most manager was NOT listed as a Captivate user, only his email account was added as the supervisor of a manager.Today, (after the Feb 2016 release of Prime) I can't add a new user because the person's manager isn't already in the system.However, my original CSV file listed the same manager (using his email account) as the supervisor of a manager over everyone else on the CSV file.So what has changed? And what do we do when we want to add someone who doesn't have a supervisor? Like the CEO of the company? At some point, we have to have the ability to add someone who doesn't have a supervisor.Am I missing something obvious?

Urgent help needed.

I am having problems with the Adobe Captivate iPad app hanging up (the screen becomes frozen with the loading icon spinning) when I try to exit a module. This forces the user to quit the app and restart. Has anyone else had this issue or have any solutions?

Hi, allI have designed a responsive module in Captivate 9, with four mobile breaking points (tablet portrait and landscape; the same for phones). All previews look normal (everything fits onto the slide in all orientations) but when I publish in Prime and view on an iPhone, the portrait view looks like this. Is the content window supposed to be that small (it means the user has to scroll up and down to see all the content)?Thanks in advance for your help,Liesl

I found out that when Learners sign up and log in to their Course Page, they are having the Adobe Captivate Prime video playing and the tutorials displayed. Is there a way to disable these to show, mind me that the videos and tutorials are great, but the learners really don't need them.Thank you.

On the L1 Feedback page, it says "Create a questionnaire to get feedback from learners after completing a course. Questions should be worded as statements that learners would then respond to on a scale of 1-5."Under that it provides:Mandatory QuestionQuestions (For Self Paced Courses)Questions (For Classroom Courses)The Mandatory Question is the only one that measures on what I assume would be the 5 point scale mentioned above.The remaining questions are all standard that can be edited, but to which the answers have to be either Yes or No.My question is how can I edit all these questions to be on a scale from 1 - 5, and edit the Mandatory Question as per the instructions given on that page.  Thank you.Hala Alturki

Is anyone using an Activity module to track OJT? The existing training program that we are working to manage with Cap Prime relies on a fair amount of OJT. In fact, there is a specified amount of time someone must experience OJT before they can be certified. Presently this is managed using a paper-based system that is extraordinarily labor intensive so it is something I'd like to automate.Thoughts anyone?

Is it possible when adding modules to make these shared with a select author(s) only?What I am trying to do, is to allow learners to upload assignments to the course page, which is not possible from what I understood. Kindly confirm.So to get around that, I am experimenting the option of giving them author rights to upload modules with their assignments. However, when they select 'shared', it makes their assignments available to everyone. Hence, is there a way for them to limit the sharing to their trainer only?Thank you.

I've just read in this forum that we can't delete a user and then later, add that user back to the system again. This causes a problem for us because we occasionally see an employee leave, for what they think will be a better job, and then return. When that happens, I will need to re-activate his or her account so they can resume their training program.To learn that a user record is not fully removed but can't be reactivated, is concerning. I can understand why a student record can't be totally deactivated; I imagine it is because of relationships built while the record is active, that would be harmed when the record is deleted.However, I can't understand the logic of not allowing the record to be reactivated. We've not purchased a subscription to Captivate Prime yet, but are (or maybe were) planning to do so very soon.Does anyone else see this as a problem?

I would like to know if there are any plans to support Multilingual. As a German i would preciate to deliver my Customers a Learning Environment also in their language.

I thought I had resolved this question but I've just come across something that suggests the answer I thought I had, is wrong.It seems that every user of Captivate Prime must also have an Adobe ID. Is that correct?I am saying this because I've been watching the Lynda.com course titled: Adobe Captivate Prime Essential Training and Dr. Pooja Saisingh clearly says it is mandatory in this course.Can someone please verify?

HiI have embedded a .avi file into my Captivate project. I have published to You Tube as well as to Video. The .avi file is not playing for the full length in the published video. When previewing the Project it plays full and progresses to the next Captivate slide but when published it cuts off after the initial sequence. I have tried changing the timing of the Video between Specific time, Rest of Slide and Duration of Video but still no success.Please assist. I am using Captivate v9.Thanks

I would like to invite learners to take my course.I'm logged in as an admin and have created an instance, but can't figure out how to add email address or users (who do not have captivate prime)  to the course.

I've looked around and tried a few things in the reports area but haven't been able to produce a simple administrative report that lists data from my trial LMS.For example, I just want a simple list of all the active courses. I'd also like a simple list of all of the modules in the system.Is that possible with the controls we have access to?

Our business is the manufacture of a 10-place turbo-prop aircraft. Our QC Inspectors use stamps(FAA required) to sign-off inspections. Each inspector has a unique stamp (five different shapes which indicate structures, systems, in-process, final and specialty authorizations) containing a number specific to an individual. I'm envisioning the Courses would contain the required modules to gain the authorization for each particular type of stamp. I'm not sure how Captivate would manage the individual number inside the stamp.Currently we are maintaining this in a mostly NOT user-friendly Access database. Much of which is still very manual.

Are there any social features within the courses? Besides the badges (which are great!)Specifically, is there a way for a learner to post a question or comment for the instructor and/or other learners related to each course? Can the instructor/ other learners respond openly?

Has anyone tried to publish a Lectora 16 course (SCORM 1.2)? I published a course and it didn't open. It appeared the content object was in the background, but the page was white.

I have both internal users and external users at partner companies. I'd like my partner company users to see branding that is specific to their companies, not mine. Is this possible based on the user or user group?

Hi, I am evaluating Prime for a client and am uploading an HTML5 course in Prime. We have a number of companies that resale our courses on their own LMS. For the most part, they work fine as published with very little issues. But one of our larger customers is having issues. When they try to play our courses they get an error stating that the "request header size is too big." More specifically, they said: "This error occurs when request header for suspend data sends a parameter that exceeds 5500 characters. The increase in request header size can increase potential of security threats."Now, I am not entirely sure what a request header is. Is that the address that displays in a browser when the course is recalled? More importantly, does anyone know if this is something we can control through Captivate? Or is that something their system creates and the error is because their server or something is set to block the long domain? The customer doesn't seem to know or, at least, seems to think it is something I need to change on our course. Any thoughts would be appreciate
