Hi,I'm ingesting with Adobe Media Encoder some compositions from After Effects and I need to rename these files with the ingest renaming option. In the renaming option I am adding a Custom Text field and the field "File Name". So, if my after effects composition it's called "Campaign_1080x1920", I want the final video to be called CD_Campaign_1080x1920.mp4The problem is that Encoder is taking this name from the temporary file After Effects creates in the folder, so this name that it should be "CD_Campaign_1080x1920.mp4" it ends up being "CD_Campaign_tmpAEtoAMEProject-_1080x1920_1.mp4"Moreover, it's not only adding the tmpAEtoAMEProject string, but also a number at the end of the name.Do you know any way to get rid of this extra information in the final name?Thank you very much!
Today I have been importing new footage. As part of that proxies are created. I have had a ton of issues with this today. starting out the clips were taking less than a minute to create the proxy. After about 20 clips (there are about 108 total) the clips are taking 10 to 15 minutes and AME is "not responding" the progress bar on the dock icon moves slowly across but the bar in the app window doesn't move at all. So I force quit and started again. I had saved the original queue so I removed the ones I know were done and started it again. This time around 15 clips got converted before the same thing happened. I have never had trouble like this before. I converted over 200 clips last week and didn't have any trouble. Running a 3.7 GHz Quad core Xeon, 64Gb with OS 10.12.6Any suggestions?
Hi all,I have written a 'proof-of-concept' GPU-accelerated H264-encoder for Adobe Media Encoder (CS6). It requires an NVidia 6xx/7xx series "Kepler" GPU (CUDA capability 3.0), and uses the dedicated GPU's builtin hardware-encoder (NVENC) to offload the H264-encoding process from the host-CPU. This software is "proof-of-concept", so it's missing some critical features (no interlaced-video support, no AAC-audio or Dolby AC-3 audio), and of course, it could be buggy! But it's free.!!!! Disclaimer: NVENC-export is third-party software that is not supported by either Adobe or NVidia. It comes with no warranty -- use at your own risk.Software/hardware Requirements:(1)Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 or Media Encoder CS6 (Windows version)Sorry, MacOSX is not supported. (NVidia NVENC SDK doesn't support MacOSX.)(1)NVidia Kepler GPU <GKxxx> with 1GB VRAM or more (GTX650 or above, GT650M or above)(Sorry, NVidia Fermi <GFxxx> is NOT supported, it doesn't have the N
With previous version of Adobe Media Encoder CC, I had no problem with applying downloaded LUT to my video clips while converting them. But with current version, (it's CC 2018 and I'm using latest update) I CANNOT use downloaded LUTs on my computer!! When you look at "Export Settings" windows(probably most frequently used window in media encoder), there is "Export Settings" on top. And below "Export Settings", there are Effects, Video, Audio, Multiplexer, Captions and Publish tabs. In the Effects tab, there is "Lumetri Look/LUT" setting area. In the area, there is a drop-down list next to "Applied" text label. In the drop-down list, there are many items including "None" and "Select...". When I click "Select...", file search dialog box should appear. But it doesn't!!I'm experiencing same problem in both Windows version and Mac version. On my Mac, I'm using Adobe Media Encoder CC 2018 version 12.1.1(Build 12). On my Windows PC, I'm using exactly same version, same build(latest update). I
Which interop or SMPTE?Do you know where is the commentary?
Greetings,I understand that some codecs of Quicktime might be gone in AME because they are no longer supported. However, spefificly I do not understand two issues regarding my mostly used codecs/workflows:We use very often Quicktime reference files exported from Avid Media Composer. Now it shows only black in Adobe Media Encoder, even if the DNxHD/HR is used.DNxHD/HR is listed as 'native video import', so I would assume it should work.Is it because it is used within a .mov container? And secondly: Why is png no longer supported for export, while it is supported for import?Thank you very much
I currently have Adobe Media Encoder CC. I have a number of family DVDs that I would like to convert each to a single digital file for online storage. All these DVDs have menus. If possible I like the menu part to also be converted -- I know it will not be interactive but its presence will show what all is there.I know that I can convert individual VOB files to MP4. Question 1: Is it possible to convert all video VTS*.VOB files (preferably with the menu) into a single MP4?Question 2: If the above is not possible, is there an option in AME to merge the resulting MP4 files into a single file?Question 3: If the above approach is not optimal, what is the best way to convert DVD files into a single digital file (with or without the menu part). Many thanks in advance!
I'm trying to render out a Pro-res video and AME keeps failing. I'm rending out as Pro-res 422 HQ.It gets all the way to the point where I have another exported pro-res video element in the sequence and that's where it fails with the error code:Export ErrorError compiling movie.Export ErrorExporter returned bad result.I pulled over the pro-res clip in another sequence and started doing test renders and it fails every time.Anyone else having this issue?Working in the latest version of Premiere 12.1.1 on a MacPro with macOS High Sierra 10.13.4.Latest version of AME as well.
I have a Lenovo Thinkpad 520, running Windows 7 Professional. I've been using Premiere Pro CS6 with its accompanying AME for years. Recently I tried upgrading to PPro CC and everything went screwy. The new install would not open up. I searched the forums and tried every solution I saw but none worked. I've re-installed PPro CS6, which is working fine, but cannot get back my AME CS6. The new AME (CC12) is missing the MPEG2-DVD codec. along with several others. Again, I've tried every solution I could find in these forums to retrieve the codecs, but nothing is working. Does anyone out there have a solution? Thank you!
Hello dear community hopefully there is some solution. As you will see in ENCORE CC2018 when I want to add a composition since AFTER EFFECT CC 2017 I get this poster, look for the application but I did not find it. Someone can help me please! The same happens with AFTER EFFECT when I want to add it to the ENCORE.
Hi,So I'm looking to find how (or if it's even possible) to upload a video direct from media encoder straight to the Vimeo account of the company I work for. The company has a Vimeo account and has added me as a 'group member' with full access rights. So on the Vimeo sight I can log in with my email address (not the companies main one for the account) and choose to upload 'as the company'. However when I log in through media encoder, in the channel drop down section only shows 'none' - if I select this it just uploads to my account not the company one for which I have access. Is there a way to do this? Or is it an issue with the Vimeo site rather than Media Encoder.Any advice on this matter would be much appreciated. Trying to work out a quick workflow system. Many Thanks,Jay
I'm trying to create proxy for premiere pro but media encoder locked every time. It's fresh formatted computer. I had this error on win 8.1 too. Hey there,I've been having trouble with exporting Adobe After Effects files through Media Encoder.I'm trying to export it as an mp4 file but each time that I go through the process the end result is an unopenable m4v file with random numbers at the end and an mp4 file that opens but it's just audio and there's no video.Below like I said I tried to export it as an mp4 named "The Export For Monday" and this happened.Hope to get some help soon,Thanks.
I'm on a PC windows 10, and I love the ease of AME over the AE encoder. I've found Jpeg2000 to be the best alternative to prores (I used to love it on Mac) but, I've recently found that my exports from AE to AME have slightly different frame sizes than the source comp. For example when the comp was 5000 x 5000 the output was 4096 x 3112.I have the preset set to match sequence settings.Any idea what else could be causing this?
Lately, I have been getting a lot of false starts from Encoder. I click on the start button, and the icons switch to running mode, but no export work starts. My CPU is snoozing. My GPU is asleep. And Encoder shows nothing in the progress bar or monitor. I have to manually close the process, reset the job, delete it, re-export it from PrP, and sometimes this works. Often, I have to close out of everything, and restart, for Encoder to work. Thoughts?
I have been working on this project for 3 days now. been having a big problem with sound lining up with the video. so once I think I have it solved I get an error the timeline is not the same time as the files, please help, this has been a long road for something soooo simple.John
Sending .mov files to a watched folder produces some peculiar results. We're just exporting basic .mp4 files and for some reason AME just cuts the videos, not exporting/rendering the entirety of length. Could it be rendering before the file is done copying to the watched folder? We need automation in a bad way and this is just unacceptable failure.
Hi,After endless bugs with my professionnal comps, I tested Media encoder 2018 with just a black solid in a comp, and NOTHING else !!!!…and here is the Error Log I get : - Fichier source : /Users/juliahamel/hubiC/EN COURS/YOUKI - ORANGE PROS/AE/ORANGE-ServicesPros-V1_AME/tmpAEtoAMEProject-•• ORANGE-SERVICES-PROS-V11.aep - Fichier de sortie : /Users/juliahamel/Documents/RENDUS MOV/ORANGE SERVICES PRO/•• ORANGE-SERVICES-PROS-V1.mov - Préconfiguration utilisée : APPLE PRO RES 422(HQ) - Vidéo : - Audio : - Débit : - Temps de codage : 00:41:3512/22/2017 11:51:16 AM : Échec du codage-----------------------------------------------L'opération a été interrompue par l'utilisateur----------------------------------------------- - Fichier source : /Users/juliahamel/hubiC/EN COURS/SHAYA-PREVOYANCE DECES/ae/PREVOYANCE_DECES_V1_AME/tmpAEtoAMEProject-•• PREVOYANCE_DECES_v11.aep - Fichier de sortie : /Users/juliahamel/Documents/RENDUS MOV/•• PREVOYANCE_DECES_v1.mov - Préconfiguration utilisée :
So this is the deal,About 10 months ago, I filmed a video in 2.7K 30FPS and edited it in a 2.7K Timeline on Adobe Premier Elements 15. After editing, I then exported it in 1080P at 30FPS and I loved it. I just came back from vacation and I filmed most of the vacation with my GoPro in 2.7K 30FPS but also filmed some videos with my phone in 1080P 30FPS. Since I have several videos in 1080P 30FPS, I was thinking about editing all my videos in a 1080P 30 FPS Timeline and just dropping the 2.7K 30FPS videos on the timeline and then exporting in 1080P 30FPS, will this be the way to go to provide me with the same quality I got when I exported the 2.7K 30 FPS video and exported at 1080 30FPS? Or should I edit in a 2.7K Timeline and drop the 1080P videos instead?I hope that made sense and I really hope you guys can help me with this. I did search the forums first but I did not find a definite answer to my specific question. Thanks!
Hi, I'm trying to turn a tiff frame sequence (EP200000.tif to EP234000.tif) into video using AME. The frames are 3840x2160 tiff with a bit depth of 16, and stored on a network drive. I'm attempting to encode using h.265 with footage interpreted at 23.976FPS but encoded at 60FPS. I previously performed a nearly identical procedure using a TARGA frame sequence and it completed successfully, so I'm not entirely sure what the issue is here.------------------------------------------------------------ - Encoding Time: 00:00:1505/02/2018 12:20:55 AM : Encoding Failed------------------------------------------------------------Export ErrorError compiling movie.Import ErrorImporter returned bad result.Writing with exporter: HEVC (H.265)Writing to file: \\?\C:\Users\user\Desktop\VIDEO.mp4Writing file type: HEVCAround timecode: 00:00:00:00Reading with importer: ImporterTiffReading from file: \\SERVER\File Storage\V-out\EP200000.tifReading file type: TIFFRendering at offset: 0.000 secondsComponent:
Almost every day I export the latest cut for the producer/director to review and modify. Currently I use Turbo H264 HD and our company has an Enterprise solution that includes SonyCi as a delivery system. For now it is a three step process to export out, compress in Turbo and upload to Sony Ci. Seems like Adobe Media Encoder could really help here. 1) export (I use an Avid sorry) 2) compress and SEND in Media Encoder via Sony Ci. Is there a way to ADD a custom Publishing module to Media Encoder? Thanks SMA
I use Adobe Media Encoder V12.1.1(Build 12) on a Mac. I've noticed recently that the pulldown pick list of file formats (as in h.264, .mov, etc.) and the list of presets (Vimeo, Apple Pro Res, etc.) are unavailable. The settings are stuck on one preset and I cannot change it. It is stuck on h.264 and a Vimeo Codec. It is stuck in both the Output Settings screen and in the queue screen. I've tried changing it in the Queue and when I click on the highlighted format or the highlighted codec in the queue list, I get a message: "File Import Error - Could not read from source. Please check the settings and try again."I am able to import a codec, but only those that match the H.264 format that it is stuck on.I'm kind of dead in the water with respect to using AME until I can resolve this. Help!
Hi,I am using an Apple ProRes 422 LT "HD" file. I bring it into Premiere. I put it on an Apple ProRes 422 LT "SD". Then I add (720 x 486) bars & tone and a slate for SD. This has been the same process for years. Now all of a sudden the timeline freezes when outputting. I send the queue to Media Encoder. The file seems to freeze on the same frame or nearly. I tried three versions of the HD file that I import into Premiere. Yet, each output of the SD timeline freezes.I spent an hour with Adobe. They say that the AMD FirePro D500 3072 MB needs a driver update. I cannot find a driver update. Mac OS seems to do their own driver updates.I cleared the cache. I uninstalled and reinstalled Premiere and Media Encoder. Is this a Mac OS problem? Is this a GPU / driver problem? Is this an Adobe problem? Or nobody cares problem? Thanks,Jason
Currently using Adobe Prelude to ingest footage into a separate directory , and conform it. Then I'm editing in Premiere + After Effects, however whenever I output my footage to AME, all of my audio files get re-conformed by AME (which takes hours) and when it does re-conform, all of the audio is completely broken. I have to go into my Media Cache Files and delete all the files that are broken in there, re-conform them in Premiere, and export from there. I would love to use AME, mainly so I can render from my server box in house. Anybody have a clue as to why this is happening? Also rendering used to work before I started to use Prelude, so I have a feeling it may be causing my troubles. Thanks in advance.
I'm setting up a server to transcode RAW into proxies. Rather than having to copy the footage into a HDD, is there a way to set up watch folders so that upon insertion of a card into the server, it starts transcoding proxies? (Keep in mind that when no card is in the computer, the drive does not exist)
