Almost every day I export the latest cut for the producer/director to review and modify. Currently I use Turbo H264 HD and our company has an Enterprise solution that includes SonyCi as a delivery system. For now it is a three step process to export out, compress in Turbo and upload to Sony Ci. Seems like Adobe Media Encoder could really help here. 1) export (I use an Avid sorry) 2) compress and SEND in Media Encoder via Sony Ci. Is there a way to ADD a custom Publishing module to Media Encoder? Thanks SMA
I use Adobe Media Encoder V12.1.1(Build 12) on a Mac. I've noticed recently that the pulldown pick list of file formats (as in h.264, .mov, etc.) and the list of presets (Vimeo, Apple Pro Res, etc.) are unavailable. The settings are stuck on one preset and I cannot change it. It is stuck on h.264 and a Vimeo Codec. It is stuck in both the Output Settings screen and in the queue screen. I've tried changing it in the Queue and when I click on the highlighted format or the highlighted codec in the queue list, I get a message: "File Import Error - Could not read from source. Please check the settings and try again."I am able to import a codec, but only those that match the H.264 format that it is stuck on.I'm kind of dead in the water with respect to using AME until I can resolve this. Help!
Hi,I am using an Apple ProRes 422 LT "HD" file. I bring it into Premiere. I put it on an Apple ProRes 422 LT "SD". Then I add (720 x 486) bars & tone and a slate for SD. This has been the same process for years. Now all of a sudden the timeline freezes when outputting. I send the queue to Media Encoder. The file seems to freeze on the same frame or nearly. I tried three versions of the HD file that I import into Premiere. Yet, each output of the SD timeline freezes.I spent an hour with Adobe. They say that the AMD FirePro D500 3072 MB needs a driver update. I cannot find a driver update. Mac OS seems to do their own driver updates.I cleared the cache. I uninstalled and reinstalled Premiere and Media Encoder. Is this a Mac OS problem? Is this a GPU / driver problem? Is this an Adobe problem? Or nobody cares problem? Thanks,Jason
Currently using Adobe Prelude to ingest footage into a separate directory , and conform it. Then I'm editing in Premiere + After Effects, however whenever I output my footage to AME, all of my audio files get re-conformed by AME (which takes hours) and when it does re-conform, all of the audio is completely broken. I have to go into my Media Cache Files and delete all the files that are broken in there, re-conform them in Premiere, and export from there. I would love to use AME, mainly so I can render from my server box in house. Anybody have a clue as to why this is happening? Also rendering used to work before I started to use Prelude, so I have a feeling it may be causing my troubles. Thanks in advance.
I'm setting up a server to transcode RAW into proxies. Rather than having to copy the footage into a HDD, is there a way to set up watch folders so that upon insertion of a card into the server, it starts transcoding proxies? (Keep in mind that when no card is in the computer, the drive does not exist)
Hi there,I have a very(!!) long list of watchfolders on a computer that is only for rendering my AE-projects.For all different rendering settings that I need, I have individual watchfolders.I am wondering:Is there a way to save or export these settings (input and output path, render preset)? I am asking because I want to setup more render machines that work with the same setting. Also I want to be able to make a backup of those settings in case I have to do a factory reset.Unfortunately I don't find any export-features in AME.Can anyone help? Are the settings maybe stored in a specific file, that I just need do copy and backup?
GRACIAS.
Hi Everyone I have been having problem with Adobe Media Encoder (AME) when rendering webm files. I'm trying to convert them to MP4 or anything that will help me retain the video quality so I can use them in Premier Pro because Premier Pro doesn't seem to like them and loses the audio but I can't resolve the problem. I've looked through lots of forums and youtube videos and tried different methods but I still get the same problem: all of the videos fail during the export with AME. My PC is half decent so I don't think it's hardware related but I could be wrong...GPU: AMD RADEON R9 200 SeriesProcessors: Intel Core i7-4790 CPU@ 3.60GHz X8-------------------------------------------------- I've tried rendering with lots of different settings and rendering to: MP4, Quicktime and 1080p Youtube preset. I've also tried rendering different webm clips but nothing is working. What am I doing wrong? Here is the report I get from AME: - Encoding Time: 00:00:1704/29/2018 10:37:13 AM : Encoding
I just spent the whole weekend banging on this problem.I am trying to export my project as mp4 (H.264) but unfortunately AME always throws Render error.I've read some discussions where people had similar problems but none that I found helpful. (I uploaded a screen shot of the error message at bottom of post) I did clean reinstall of my OS but no avail.I haven't added any special chars. in project name and related project files too.And I suspect one of my cause would be my OS automatically prepending some kind of weird chars. over the drive path and output file name.Take look at errors log below.Any tips, advice, or experience from anyone else encountering the same or similar errors when rendering in AME would be much appreciated! My OS and hardware info:OS: Windows 10 proGraphics card: AMD Radeon M430, 2GB memory
I have UHD S-Log 3 files, and I'd like to make proxies with a REC 709 LUT. I'm new to the proxy workflow, so I've been watching tutorials, and it looks simple. I've made some test presets, without a LUT, and everything works. But, I'd really like to have proxies that are closer in appearance to graded footage (I don't want to be looking at S-Log all day). When I try to make an encoding preset with a LUT, I'm able to add a Lumetri look, but when I try to select a non-Lumetri LUT from the dropdown menu, the window just closes. A few minutes ago, in a chat with Adobe tech support, I was told that this is impossible to do. But, if it is, why do I find tutorials about doing it? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Hi,I am exploring Adobe Media Web for conversion to mp4. Currently I am using Adobe Media Encoder CC 2018 Trail to evaluate the conversion.I am using the Rest Web Service as per this guideline (https://github.com/sp00x/node-adobe-media-encoder-webservice) .Could you please clarify the following queries?1. What is the SourcePresetPath to convert to mp4? I ma trying with this "HD 720p 25.epr" but it is comverting as wmv. 2. I could not convert .swf and .webm files to mp4? I am getting Invalid file format errorLooking forward your response.
Hi,I got a problem with selection of the renderer. I have an option when choosing between software or CUDA:But I can't change that in composition preset settings:I have a GTX 970, i7 4790K. Has anyone run into the same problem?
Hello!I need help. I'm making proxies for my 4k footage that I imported into Premiere Pro and so it opened up Media Encoder to make the proxies based on my ingest settings. However it kept crashing so I re-imported the footage two times to restart the encoding proxies process (this was not a good idea as I'll explain later). I have stopped doing that. So now I'm in media encoder and it is taking its sweet time making these proxies, but there is 3 of every clip and they appear to be in random order. I have gone through multiple times and deleted the duplicates from the queue, but every time media encoder opens back up the duplicates are there. I just want to set it so it won't make duplicate proxies. Right now it's making two or three by putting "Proxy_1" or "Proxy_2" at the end of the file name. The only setting I found to change was how the duplicate proxies are named, I can't find how to prevent media encoder from making duplicate proxies in
I was doing videos on my sony camera and all of them are in one file avchd WHICH is not possible to open by any program, even adobe encoder. Is it possible it is too big file?
I left the "energy saver" settings on Mac set to sleep after one hour. It paused the queue while outputting a premiere project. It's back exporting now. Is this likely to affect quality on the final output? Thank you
Good evening,Ever since the latest update, as of 22 February 2017, when I queue items from Adobe Premiere Pro to be exported as H.264 .mp4 files via Media Encoder, when I later open up those files, I just get the intended length of the file with a message in a dozen languages saying "Media offline."Did the settings that I need to set change upon update? Or was this software update released before it was fully tested, and it is no good? Please update and/or advise.
Hello everyone,I want to export a 2min long video from after effects. My Media ENcoder works and I can export the video there. In the video I have an Audio spectrum. I have a i5 processor so that might be the reason for the long time, but I'm sure it shouldn't be 6-7 HOURS! Right? Thanks all
Hi,We have a small video company and are subscribed to the whole app bundle with Adobe but Media Encoder is our main application and we use it on a daily basis. Everything worked well until today when it started bugging and we also noticed that on the Creative Cloud menu it got suddenly marked as CC version "incompatible" with our OS 10.9.5. By that I mean the CC version which was 2015.4. I tried uninstalling it with the purpose of reinstalling it, but then it simply disappeared from the CC menu and now only shows it as an "incompatible" install. Like Premiere (which hasn't started bugging yet) and After Effects. This is unacceptable! We don't want to update our OS as we have other software that will only work under 10.9.5.We would like to receive a download copy of the prior, working version of Media Encoder, or else I suppose we will just unsubscribe to Adobe's services. This is very user-unfriendly, and very much a nuisance for a product that was otherwise working well. Thanks, best,Di
from the latest version
Hi. I keep trying to update Media Encoder but it keeps giving me an error 113 message. Says something about not being able to reach the Adobe servers. I can update everything else but not media encoder so it's not my internet connection. Has anyone else experienced this problem? If yes, can anyone advise on how to fix this issue. I've already uninstalled and reinstalled and nothing. Thank you
Hi,I use tle last premiere pro cc 2018 and media encoder.I updated april 21, 2018 the media encoder and since not responding, not loading the program.I have windows 10.I uninstall and install it but don't work. What happend? What can I do?Thank's, Zsolt
Suddenly presets from previous version in the GOP area of settings will not support high rates. Where we use to have 8 and 128 to produce the best resolution for M and N frames; the new version of ME just hangs about 15 seconds through the render. We can drop the frame setting to 4/128 but that's half of the resolution we need. We have to downgrade to have success at it and keep producing the m2v format we need to deliver.
Hi all,Apologies if this is a repeat, but I have tried searching and can't find anybody with the same issue / not sure of the technical term to search. I am very new to AE and have been working on a project through it. Exported the project quite a few times now and the play back has been fine. However after my last update to it, when exporting some video files are missing and show a colour banding instead. They're not missing in AE and the files have not changed location. So I am not sure what has gone wrong or how to fix it. Any ideas? Damian.
Hello everyone,I'm having trouble with working with proxies in Premiere Pro.I've made a project on my laptop. All files are located on an external harddrive. When I want to open the PP-project on my desktop, I'm getting an error that says AME is not installed. This way I'm unable to use any of the proxies I've made on my laptop. Is there any workaround or solution for this?So far I've tried updating both AME and PP, setting them both back one version, deleting cache. All without result.I've included two screenshots to illustrate what I'm talking about.
Hello , it seem that the latest release of Media Encoder CC 2018 ( v 12.1 build 171) are completely missing the Quicktime XDCAM422 codecs .Is there a reason for that or it has simply missed?Thank you
