Adobe Media Encoder

Have upgraded to the 2019 version of After Effects (16.0.0 Build 235) and the 2019 version of Media Encoder (13.0 build 203) I am not able to render my footage in Media Encoder. It won't connect to the Dynamic Link Server.I am able to drag and drop my composition from AE to AME (sometimes) But when I try to render the composition it gets stuck on 'connecting to the Dynamic Link server'. I have tried to delete everything, reinstalling, logging in and out.Using mac High sierra.I tried a clean install on a windows 10 computer(this computer had no previously adobe programs on it), and then it seemed to work fine.

I render multiple versions of a video from a client monthly that need to be as close to 300mb as possible without exceeding. I usually use a bitrate calculator and enter the correct target bitrate for each file which works fine.Now I'm trying to offload this to a network machine so it free's up my station instead of rendering all day. I've got my project setup with a watch folder which auto-loads into the queue on my network machine fine, but it seems I can't change the render setting per file when projects are loaded into the queue this way. The multiple versions I'm rendering are varying lengths so I can't really set a singular bitrate for all files as they'll end up not being the same size.My question is this, Is there a way to:A)Set a max or target file size so bitrate get's calculated automatically?B)Change the render settings of a project added to a watch folder on a per file basis. (Making multiple watch folders is an option but not ideal as there's many different lengths of vid

I've seen on searches that the FLV and SWF formats have been removed from Adobe Media Encoder. I'd like to put a video into Adobe Animate to edit and the only options to play and edit in timeline are FLV and SWF. How do I do this?Putting in an H.264 only allows viewing in the timeline. Not editing or exporting. This means that I can't be specific with deleting and changing certain frames.

I tried Exporting a composition in After Effects to the Media Encoder Queue, Once I opened the Media Encoder, I went to find the composition and it was not present. I Saved the composition as an .aep file on my desktop and dragged it into Media Encoder and it gave me this Error.  I have updated After Effects and Media Encoder to their latest versions as of 11/17/2018. I am new to the Adober Creative Cloud and I have search all over the forums for something relating to this and could not find anything. I am not sure how to resolve this. Please help!

In our company we use a number of encoding presets customised to our needs, settings we have been using for years.Up until the latest April update of AME this typically resulted in files that were always between 400 - 600MB in size (same ballpark as the estimated file size in exporter), depending on clip duration, however since the April update, every single render, using the exact same presets now results in files between 1.2 - 2GB in size, despite the fact that the 'estimated file size' in the exporter still displays something between 400 - 600MB.We have tried creating new presets from within the latest version of AME, but with the same results.Now we are rapidly chewing through 10's of GB of wasted storage for files that are inordinately large, upload times for all of the files to our hosts have nearly tripled and the knock on effect for the end users, now receiving files triple the size in enormous.We dare not lower the export settings any further. Hello,I have an mp4 file.The time line begin like the image below but really it is from the begining (00:00:00:00) maybe becouse the program rememer a previous cut and it count the time like before the cut.Is there a way to reset the time line?Thanks.

Hi there,I hope I'm in the right forum.I have a .swf role from animate CC (13MB) and wanted to convert to mp4 (because I can't get animate cc to convert to .mov file, so now trying everything else i can think of). I imported the swf into After effects and created an app. file. I think imported that file into Media encoder, selected H.264 and Match source - high bitrate and hit play.  The mp4 file I created had no sound.If it helps, in animate CC used mp3 files and it worked in test mode and in swf file mode. I also tried some online converters but none of them recognised my .swf file - I thought all .swf were the sameKJ

I've been having issues since I upgraded from CC18 to 19. When I send a comp from AE to AME and render it as an MP4, some of the footage renders out like this:90% of the footage in the comp renders fine but there are a few files that end up with this test screen instead. The files are linked and haven't been changed at all.  When I export through AE's render queue as an MOV and then export that file to an MP4 through AME, the video ends up totally fine. I have no clue what's happening here. Anybody out there have an idea?

A few days ago, I was out on a boat with a scientist filming orca (killer whales). I got about an hour of footage which I edited in Premiere Pro, down to 11½ minutes of superb scenes of these beautiful animals literally dancing in time to Strauss's Blue Danube which I set it to. They were often right beside or even beneath our boat.I cannot just put the footage up on Youtube as I normally would with nice footage. There are several important reasons why not and one of them is that because I was filming from an official orca research boat, the scientist herself owns the intellectual rights to the footage taken on her boat.So I want to upload it to her special website where she requests us to send it. Normally I just choose the Youtube preset in Media Encoder because with everything else, I mostly intend to upload everything to Youtube.But this time I want it to be of better quality than the usual Youtube video. Hi,We have just recently updated to Media Encoder 2019, while trying to generate an alpha channel output, the resulting file does not have a transparent background.We are generating the output for an after effects composition.Details:Video format: quicktime (.mov)Codec: Animation8pc + alpha option selected.We have tried exporting outs by both selecting and not selecting the "render with maximum depth" option. Both produce only black backgrounds and not transparent backgrounds.

Having a ton of issues with Media Encoder CC2019. 1) Frequently my work involves creating content for projection across multiple screens in a live event. The general workflow I do is to develop and design one large comp in after effects, then via media encoder crop my export to render out videos for each individual screen.  While I recognize that I could create cropped precomps in AE and export those individually, in tests on my end, parallel encoding (think I'm using that correctly) seemed to render significantly faster by running my large comp through media encoder and cropping there.  However, in Media Encoder CC2019 I can't get media encoder to save my crop presets.  It seems that wherever I place my crop window as soon as I hit save it changes the box size dramatically.  I'll have it all set, then I hit save as preset and all of a sudden what was a, say, 2:3 aspect ratio is now a 4:1. Hello everyone, this is my first post. Sorry for my poor english but I will try to explain as best I can.Yesterday Media Encoder won't open up, like the loading screen shows but after loading the last effect the loading screen will dissappear and nothing more. After 2 days of figuring out why Media Encoder won't open up, it was because I enabled Intel Graphics to use Quick Sync. I was using it and rendering with it on Media Encoder CC 2018. But if I have enabled Intel graphics it won't open up, if I disable intel graphics AME opens without any problems. This is not caused for any 3rd party effects because I tried unistalling every effect. I installed AME CC 2018 and works perfectly fine, even Premiere cc 2019, but AME doesn't want. I tried installing and older version of the Intel drivers and at the first try of opening media encoder cc 2019 was working fine, but I closed it and then I tried to open it again, and wasn't working again. I guess I will have to use cc 2018 or cc 2018 but w

Hello, I'm having an issue where AME is converting audio files to drop frame, which is throwing off my monitor when in the source window.  For example, I cut in a 23.98 timeline, go to edit music that I converted into AME in the source window, and it changes my monitor playback to 29.97 or 59.94.Is there a way to change this setting in AME?  Seems like an odd default and hopefully there's an option to set to non-drop or at least native settings.Thanks!

Howdy! Here's my issue. I set up a preset that automatically publishes to Twitter. It worked! Now, I want to switch the account that gets published to.• I create a new preset• I get my video and audio setting where I like them• I go to Publish > Twitter and find that I'm already logged into one account (the old one)• I click Sign Out to sign out of Twitter.• I click Sign In and enter the new account's credentials• I click OK to save the preset.• If I re-open the preset or try to render, it's still connected to the old Twitter account.It's as if the "sign out" and "sign in" don't take. Hi,I was wondering if it were possible at all to append the source name onto the output name? At the moment I've got 300 files all with output names "comp" "comp_1" "comp_2" etc and it's not really helpful. The original source aep files are named so wondered if there was a way to someone get their name in it? On the output name, the metadeta, anything?Thanks!

This is horrendous. The right image is ame 2018, and the left is ame 2019. Using same exact codec/color management - h.265 2020 10bit. Absolutely no changes on my end other than making the mistake of hitting that update button in creative cloud. Hope this doesn't involve after effects color profiling as well or I just lost a week of work unless I can roll back an after effects project too. I don't know what you guys did, but it's absolute trash. Highlights get blown out, and it seems like the contrast is bumped up to 1000.

I have updated to CC 2017 and cannot find the HEVC preset. I have see similar discussion and the problem was related to license issues but I have HEVC in Adobe Premiere CC 2017 and I have already tried to remove license folder to reset license unfortunately when I open Media Encoder outside Adobe premier HEVC is still missing

Hello! I realize in the big scheme of things this is a tiny little problem, but... Since upgrading to AME 2019 a few weeks ago, the Media Encoder beeps and boops at me three or four times when encoding a file. No warnings pop up, there's nothing wrong (that I can see) with the files, but as I mentioned I get three or four warning "bonks" every time. I've checked my preferences like thirty-twelve times trying to find a way to stop the audio alerts but I must be overlooking something... It's a minor thing, but it's annoying enough for me to want to make it stop. Does anyone have any ideas? I'm on a Mac, running Mojave (10.14), 32GB RAM, using the latest updates of 2019 Adobe CC software.

Exporting Media to AVI format produced a file containing only Audio.  This has worked OK in the past and a day of research did not find any problem with source material or program settings.A clue to the solution was when selecting Export Media from the File drop down menu a message box appeared about there being an update to Media Encoder for this version of Premiere Pro.  (Checking for updates from the Help drop down gives the message that there are no updates for Media Encoder.)So I looked for anomalies between Premiere Pro and Media Encoder. When exporting media the Export Settings dialog box had Microsoft AVI as the Format and PAL DV as the Preset, both video and audio are selected.  When the job appeared in Media Encoder and the Export Settings are examined via the Edit drop down menu, Export Video is not selected and is greyed out!This led me to believe that the problem was in Media Encoder.Even though Media Encoder was the latest version 4.2.0.006 I downloaded and

Ever since updating to AME CC 2019 in the middle of last month my normal workflow of bulk exporting clips from Premiere has turned into a nightmare.At some point during the middle of nearly every batch of clips, AME stops encoding correctly, leaving some exported clips unmuxed and the rest at 0 kb. The only way to get it to work again is to shut down AME and start it up again, and even then it doesn't work half the time until I restart my PC.During this last round I've had Task Manager open. AME successfully complete a batch of 20 files. When it was done, Task Manager showed that it was clinging to 1GB+ of RAM.I did a second batch, only half of which exported successfully. By the end of that, Task Manager showed it was holding on to 2.5GB of RAM, even though its job was finished. I ran a RAM cleaning tool, which got AME down to .5MB of RAM. Then I retried the failed files from the previous batch. None of them encoded. So I closed AME, but it's still showing in the Task Manager 20 minut
