I am trying to export a one hour fifty minute Wraptor DCP at 250 mbps and I two in and encoder hangs up. I am using GPU accelerator (cuda). Dumped cache in premiere. The bitrate is 250 mbps which seems a large file at 1.3 TB. I have the compter power on high performance so it's not going to sleep. Other rendering seems fine except for this format.any Idea of what to try next?
I've got a process using PP + AME that is ALMOST ideal for me. But there's one detail that requires an "O(n)" effort task, meaning the time & effort are linearly proportional to the number of files created. Bugger! When I make subclips from In & Out points PP appends "Subclipxxx" to the end of the name. When AME receives all of the subclips for rendering, it defaults to a filename with the "Subclipxxx" suffix stripped off and replaced with ".mp4". Now that all of the output filenames, by default, are identical, all of the renders but the first will fail! (screenshot below) I checked through the preferences in both PP and AME but could not find any options for changing the default file names for either. Photoshop has a rather robust feature set for dealing with filenames when batch processing, by comparison. Defaults that yield failed renders without manual intervention should typically fall in to the "Bug" category. But I wanted to give the community an opportunity to shar
So I want to do a very simple transcode:Sony FX6, Slog3, SGamut3.cine to Prores 422.I don't want anything done to the footage, just a simple transcode. For some reason Media Encoder keeps trying to colour manage my lut footage, and breaking it in the process, giving me these weird overexposed and oversaturated files that cant be worked with.I just want to keep the log files as a prores file. What is ahppening here, and how can I solve this? I'm on windows 11,
I'm on Mac OS Sierra 10.12.6 running Adobe Media Encoder CC 2018. AME quits on startup every time with the error "Adobe Media Encoder has encountered an unexpected error and cannot continue." AME CC 2017 will open and run, but I can't export from Premiere CC 2018 no matter what I do (Export Media to Queue, drag sequence into AME 2017, try to load through dynamic link server from my project within AME 2017...) I have uninstalled and re-installed AME CC 2018 several times, ditched preferences, log and preset folders, made sure permissions were set to read/write in Documents and Library, restarted my computer. I'm stuck now because I can't even export from Premiere since I have the MacPro graphics card glitch where any render I do using my FirePro card have random glitches throughout, so I have to use AME in order to turn off my FirePro during exports. Please, any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Using the following command caused AME to crash. "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Media Encoder 2020\Adobe Media Encoder.exe" --console es.executeScript "D:\TEST\test.jsx"Contents of scriptvar a = "b"; It seems this issue was introduced in 14.0.3 as the crash doesn't happen if i roll back to 14.0.1.14.1 - Crash14.0.4 - Crash14.0.3 - Crash14.0.1 - Works I've confirmed this happens on two seperate machines. sorry, i'm just super annoyed by adobe...i usually use AE 2019 (16.1.3) and render the vidos with (a likewise 2019 version of) media encoder. i use this old version because here i can be sure that everything works as expected. that's not a given with new versions. i use AE also for work projects, so i kind of depend on it.today i downloaded premiere to play around a bit. obviously the download of premiere automatically installed a new version of the media encoder, too. of course without asking me.so when i wanted to render an ae project with the updated media encoder it didn't work because the versions are somehow incompatible.i searched the web for a 2019 version of media encoder but coudn't find one. (except for some shady links i didn't want to click) my main question: has anybody a trustworthy download link? why is adobe forcing me to use new versions i don't want to use, which are most likely buggy?is there some adobe employee reading this?
Right now, if I queue up long-running tasks in Media Encoder, I have to pretty much check out the window periodically to see if the jobs are done. I'd like to be able to run an AppleScript or something so I can get a notification that encoding is complete. Is there any way to do something like that?
The release notes for AME 23.2 state the following: Fixed an issue affecting H.264 and HEVC or H.265 exports on Windows with Adobe Media Encoder 23.1. Could someone at Adobe explain what those issues were that should now be fixed? Thanks,Chet
Error code: -1609629690 i tried to export a video from adobe premmiere through encode but i always get an error at a specific clip. The only difference with this clip is i've used a flare effect and a drp shadow effect. DId that cause the problem? Title edited by Mod
Hello, So my media encoder (2022 win) is not working. Whenever I enter a file or edit from AE the project dosent load or dosent even start. I already tried clearing space on my computer but i didnt help. So If anyone can help please do!!

Hey there, I have a file that i need to make a clip of with apple pro res and 48k sample rate and 24 bit sample size. However it seems like my audio is somehow being leveled out (see pic left is OG file and the right is the new). Anyone have an idea as to prevent that?
I'm not even sure if I'm asking the right question, but--I downloaddd the latest versions of AE and AME yesterday (brand new user) and made a short video that included Trapcode Particular. I exported the video from AE to AME and the Trapcode Particular effects are missing from the final product. I'm sorry if this is too broad of a question, but I don't know how else to ask it--What could be causing the Trapcode Particular effects to not show up after being run through AME? I've been searching for a solution for about 12 hours and even ditched sleeping last night, haha. TIA!
Hi all,I've been scratching my head for a long time now about why my M1 Max MacBook Pro 16" (64GB memory) is not getting through my AE renders (rendered in AME). I know I'm asking a lot from my machine, but it is not even close to finishing it's task. What I'm trying to do is: I have 6mins of 360 degrees footage (8K 29,97 fps H.265) in my project that I speeded up to last only 30s. The single effect that I applied is 'Force Blur' (settings: Motion blur samples - 25 / Shutter angle - 500). I'm exporting in 8K 29,97 fps H.265, so same settings as the initial footage. But I'm 45mins in and the remaining time went up from 50min at the start to 7h20min (and still going up...) So, with 10 more shots to go, this is going to take me ages. Mercury Playback Engine GPU Accelaration (Metal) is on. Same as all other optimalisation recommendations I could find on the internet. Any thoughts? I really don't understand why this is taking my spect out laptop so insanely long.&nb
Hi Anyone know how to fix Adobe Media Encoder error 10? Because I want to export my video from AE and it gives me that error and it tells me that it does not have permission to create files, someone knows how to put the permission in windows 10 because I search in YT and I only get videos of the error that it does not open but it does not what I need.
I've been using laptop with the following specs:Laptop Model : Acer Predator Helios 300Edition : Windows 10 ProProcessor : Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-10750H CPU @ 2.60GHz 2.59 GHzInstalled RAM : 16.0 GBSystem Type : 64-bit operating system, x64-based processorGraphics : NVIDIA Game Ready Driver version 461.40 - GeForce RTX 2070 with Max-Q Design.............Adobe Afer effects Version : v 23.0Adobe Media Encoder Version : v23.1Frame Rate : 30FPS-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------My Issue is that i have created a video using Glow, Drop shadow, Gradient Ramp, Freeze Time and some other effects with many layers/files like PNG images, MP4 videos. The video duration is 1:59 secs. CASE 1: When i added the video to AME and starts rendering it showed 30mins estmation time but finally it took 5hrs to complete the render. i'm wondering that why it is showing that much wrong estimation time. CASE 2: I have used same project without Glow effe
I've recently switched to Premiere Pro to edit and I noticed that I could add grain and export it perfectly using Premiere. But when I tried to export with Media Encoder from After Effects it becomes pixelated. I've checked different settings in all programs but I still can't identify the issue. Any help at all would be appricated.
I've noticed when I've done a fresh install of AME it launches very quickly, just a few seconds. After I've set up my watch folders, 75 outputs to be exact, it takes over 1 mintue to fully launch AME. This is highly annoying for when I need to do a quick transcode to down-rez a file for client approval, fewer than 10 seconds. My question - Is there a way to temporarily disable the watch folders during launch? Perhaps hold the SHIFT key or something similar, which disables the watch folders just for this session but fully restores upon closing and re-launch at another time.
I have loads of 4K footage that I need to make low res proxy files for. I'm working with Premiere Pro 23.1 and Media Encoder 23.1 In Premiere Pro, I right-click an MXF file > Create proxy > which leads me to this screen below I hit 'OK' and the proxy starts to render in Adobe Media Encoder. After about 15 seconds, the proxy fails and when I open the error message, it says "Frame substitution recursion attempt aborting after multiple attempts on file" Any ideas on how to fix this?
Hello,I cannot open Encoder, I use a Mac Os Ventura 13.1, the Encoder version is updated. I receive the message attached and no other explannation. Any ideas? Thanks!
Theoretically simple, but let's say I have a long sequence of repeat loops, with scripting in AE every 5 seconds as the loop repeats certain elements also change. let's say this goes on for a while, and I have over a hundred different loops, I now need to split these into individual files.I've looked around a bit and it seems that Media Encoder and Premiere don't have any way of automating this, I know I know place markers and split by markers but the actualy rendering would still involve manually selecting the duration of each loop, so if anything that's adding work rather than reducing it.Is there any way within the Adobe ecosystem to just split a longer video into multiple 5 second files? This is something a few other video converters (some freeware) seem to have built in so it's curious that I can't find a way within the Adobe ecosystem.
Hi, how do I know when Media encoderhas fiished reering and what's the next step?
Greetings,i've got a problem that is prowling around here for some years now. Unfortunately i do not find the forum's post where it was discussed.Does the MediaEncoder meanwhile support the "comp's frame number" when rendering out PNG-sequences? When i start rendering using ME all PNG-sequences start with frame 000 not taking care of which position i start to render. So existing frames will be overwritten with different/wrong content. Rendering out parts of the animation ist not possible in case you got an idea of producing one row of frames. The AE internal Render Queue allows "[x] Use Comp Frame Number" - but it blocks AE so i can't work on while rendering. Is there meanwhile a solution for ME or at least a plan to fix this issue? Thanks for your response 🙂 Tim²
