I made the 15.2 update this morning, and after this time, I can't export from After Effects, neither open a .aep file from ME.ME 15.2 is running in the tasks, but is not open. In the windows tasks, "no response" I have to shutdown ME...I installed again the last working version but it's the same...I spent 3 hours with this problem...(I also restarted my computer 3 times)Wich stable version can I install ?
I have my media encoder app up to date (v15.2), all my drivers up to date, everything is as it should be. Yet a few weeks ago I constantly have issues when trying to create proxies from Premiere. I work on a Windows 10 System. 16g RAM, GTX1660Ti Nvidia, intel core i7. I´ve tried with very different cameras and the same Error is always there. I´ve switched storage disks. Even formatted my whole PC and nothing seems to work. Every time I try to create proxies of a stack of 20 videos or more approximately the error always comes up. Sometimes the program crash, sometimes it just freezes forcing me to close it and sometimes the error pops and the program close. I really think I´ve tried everything. I´m not rendering anything crazy long or heavy, just quick 10 seconds shots most of the time from a Sony A7III and still not working.
Hello, all. I have a 5760x5760 3D-360 timeline with a single 8192x8192 image in it. When I try to export as HEVC (H.265) using AME's software renderer, I get this error. I'm on an 18-core Intel 7980XE, and RTX3090 with 24GB VRAM. Out of memory is highly unlikely. I've had export issues for the last couple of years. The only way to get high-res HEVC out has been to export a master and use ffmpeg. Hello,I have some Sony's XAVC S and want to convert it to Apple Pro Res 422. Some files are in 23, 976 fps and some are in 60 fps. All the files are in 4K. Tried a couple of times to convert it in Media Enconder, but it crash every single time. Fisrt time working with this codec in 422 10 bit. I made a batch list and it crashed in the third clip. Then tried one clip per time and it also crash. Does anybody know why media enconder can't finish this job? Thanks a lot
hello, when previews and rendering in media encoder, darker areas of the video seem to glitch and show colourful horizontal lines. i have attached a photo for reference; i'm not sure how to fix this. please help asap!!
Hello everyone,Recently I need to upload many .pdfs in a video form. I prepared my workflow in After Effects which has 64 jpeg files (pdf to jpeg) - the composition 10 mins... My problem is that so often are fewer jpeg files after all. So the question is it possible to establish auto (time?) adjustment in Media Encoder... That the software could after detecting for example missing files just adjust the video length? Or something similar? I set some Watch Folders which work perfectly fine, but adjusting the length in Media encoder it's time-consuming... Daily I'm working on +- pdfs... Is there any chance how to solve it? That's set by me: The missing file starts here:
Meu arquivo exporta, renderiza e ao finalizar, vou na pasta e o video esta comrrompido. O que fazer?
I use media encoder to upload videos to youtube but since the update when i try to upload videos i have been getting an error that says check internet connection. And i got this error before but it has never been this consistent i have been trying to upload for the past week trying to fix this but i cant figure it out i reinstalled media encoder, reset settings, signed in and out of youtube none of those worked does anybody know how to fix this.
Encoding in h.264, tried every other options. If VBR 2 pass : no problem. If VBR 1 Pass : the audio doesn't goes to the end, it stops abruptly at 5% to the end of the clip.In our company all premiere pro and AME exports do the same thing (4 computers 2 mac, 2 pc) Am I the only one ? 😕😕
Hi everyone, I've been struggling with this issue for a while. I create looping animations that are generally viewed in browsers. When I create them in AE they loop perfectly, both video and audio are great. But when I render the movie in AME and then play it on loop, there's like a buffering pause at the beginning of each loop, ruining the smooth playback. I've tinkered around with settings, have searched high and low for a solution but there doesn't appear to be one? Am i wasting my time with this or is it possible to eliminate this? Even if I have to use "other software" like VLC or FFMPEG? I just want to know if I'm wasting my time trying to find a fix that just doesn't exists? I've seen loads of complaints about it online, but so far, none of the suggested solutions have worked. Thanks millions for any tried and tested solutions.
Hi there, kind of a weird issue I've been having lately. I've had some deliverables for clients lately that call for specific bitrates in the specs. But encoding certain types of videos, specifically graphics-heavy pieces with lots of block colors, despite selecting h.264 with CBR of 15mbps or something, when reading the file in VLC or Quicktime, it shows only around 2mbps. It's almost like it's compressing it to a lower bitrate than I set it at, because a higher bitrate isn't necessary for the video. Any ideas? In this example, I'm encoding from a ProRes 422 HQ clip, to H.264 MP4, using CUDA, on an ASUS 3070 TUF.
I am just using AME and I am new, why AME doesn't support Dolby/DTS codecs?
I exported a video with media encoder and deleted the project file fr character Animator and now I don't know how to get it back and i even don't know how to remove the black background in after effects of exported file i just want my project file back so that i can put a background but i don't know what to do now please help!!
I can't get it to work. I have a problem with opening and using Media Encoder. I di reinstall app, it didn't help.
Hello, I'm hoping one of the pros here can help me diagnose the AME render error I get when I try and render this video. I've tried rendering on my home computer and it works but when I render on my work computer it fails. I've attached the error log. TIA ~Amy
The CC previously installed ME 2021 15.1 and today CC installed additionally 2020 14.9. Why do I need both of them? Should I remain only with 15.1 and uninstall the 2020 14.9?

It worked just fine yesterday. But today, when I was about to output a short video clip, the output video become this:
hey all , for some reason media encoder 2021 is canging the out put gamma of the EXR. i am rendering exr 16bit zip and it used to be ok in previews versions , but sinse i updated the media encoder it is doing that. any idea on what might be the solution thanks
I haven't been able to open Media Encoder or export from Premiere since I most recently updated Windows 10. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling both Premiere and Media Encoder, but cannot get Media Encoder 2021 (v15, v15.1 or v15.2) to open. I am able to open Media Encoder 2020 (v14.9) no problem, so I don't understand why I'm having such an issue with the 2021 version of this software?
Hello, How do I restore the green tick, that was visible on a successful encoding? We often have dozens of parallel encodings and this was always the only reliable source for indicating the encoding status. Thank you very much!
Hi,I need the media encoder to make proxies on premiere pro. However when I go to download media encoder is simply says 'waiting' and then says 'installation failed' with no other error message. Can someone please help me? I've tried the trouble shooting online I can findthank you
Mac Catalina 10.15.7Mac Pro 2019Proc: 3.3 GHz 12-Core Intel Xeon W96 GB 2933 MHz DDR4Vid Card: AMD Radeon Pro Vega II 32 GBAfter Effects Ver 15.2 + Adobe Media Encoder 15.2. (this did not happen on my mac trashcan and older versions of AE/AME)I render a Prores 4444 with alpha file from After Effects into a watch folder where AME picks it up and converts it to mp4 (yes i dont care about the alpha channel, its for proofing). The mp4 that it spits out a messed up color version plus its inverted. Using Software and Hardware encoding in AME results in differing color patterns. The 4444 file rendered out of After Effects is correctly colored. See below for settings and input output examples. HALP!
I had to downgrade back to 15.1 due to an MXF importer error running 15.2. The error occurs when attempting to export H.264 from a sequence built with a variety of source files: MXF, APR 422, H.265, H.264 and a variety of LUTs. This is a typical assortment for my workflow so I downgraded. I tested several successful workarounds in 15.2 -- 1. disabling hardware encoding and 2. exporting partial sequences with only MXF clips.
