Adobe Media Encoder

I was using an older version of "Me" before the metalic geomitry shapes image since the encoder would take 10 times as long to encode wit the new update i wake up to get work done and I WAS FORCE FED the new update 15.0... ...  . .  . . .. now tech support can't help me. I9 5.1 gz1660 gtx32 gigs ram 

So I noticed my render times increased dramatically in the last couple of days.  I think I noticed on Monday the 8 that a render that would usually take about 40 minutes is now taking 2 hours.  So I did a bit of exploring and it seems like it's not actually using my GPU to render I've read other posts and they were all using amd cards I am not so they weren't relavent to my issue.  My system is i5 9600kf16gb ram rtx 2060 most recent driver  like I said before Monday is was using my gpu has an update messed something up? 

I have a 4th Gen i7 CPU w/Iris Pro + RX 5700 XT, and according to the info I've found, neither of those can be used for hardware encoding by default, yet FFmpeg can do it with VTB? Does Media Encoder just not have VideoToolBox support? Are there any alternatives?

Hi! Whenever I try to open media encoder it either shuts down before opening or has an error message pop up saying: "an error has occurred, send report"I've seen a lot of people have dealt with this same problem but I'm making a new post to bring the issue back up, the only solutions I have found were from this article posted by adobe support in a thread:https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/multi/products-crash-launch-macos.html I tried it but nothing helped, I restarted my computer and that did not help, I am trynig to uninstall media encoder but an error keeps popping up saying it cannot uninstall (I force quit media encoder, this error is not bc the app is running) Does anyone have any other solutions?I am in the middle of working and need a video rendered within the hour, does anyone have any alternatives to media encoder? I already rendered the video through after effects but now have the .mov and need to convert it to .mp4 in order for my boss to view it & post it! I

AME is not able to load the plugin and getting crashed, what to do?

Help! I am making videos for YouTube and have been trying to use my face cam. I record on my iPhone which produces .mov files. I get them to my computer via Google drive. Once I download them I put them through the encoder and switch them to h.264 - the problem is it messes up the video! The video loops a 30 second to 2 minute clip, and the audio plays normally. When I trouble shoot, the video plays fine on my Google drive but is broken when it gets encoded. Any advice?

I've never had any real issues with Media Encoder, but in the last few months, it is just not rendering what I send to it. My main workaround was just saving my AE file as a new name - but it was a pain and soon started to not help. I found sometimes deleting the tmp files in the AME folder and purging AE worked...but again a lot of hoops to jump through that soon didn't seem to make a difference I recently updated AE and ME from Adobe to see if that would help, and still, it won't render. It just hangs on "Connecting to Dynamic Link" and eventually fails. 

Hi, I convert mov file to mp4 through Media Encorder and it changed the dimension of my video from 375x667 to 374x666 and I can't even change it. Here's my video setting. Exporting settings are below:Format: H.264Preset: Match Source- Medium bitrate Please help!

Hello, I'm currently trying to render a video from After effects 2020 in Media Encoder 2020. And I keep getting an encoder failure. Does anyone have a fix for this? -"Could not read from the source. Please check if it has moved or been deleted."-IMac Late 2012-macOS Catalina-AE 2020-ME 2020-H.264  

Hello, so, for the last few hours i've been trying to render a video and i have to import those things (see in screenshot). I did it, it rended some 15-20 short clips (1-2 sec) and the big video but from the half. I tried with other projects too and it works, but this one just doesn't and i also tried directly from premiere. I just don't know what else to do, i think it's from the last update, but i don't really know, i'm in this for 1-2 months know so...i also updated everything from gpu. Hope i get some help here. pls. The pc is decent, not the best but im sure it's not this the cause. 

Today I started a porject in After Effects 2020 and learned after I finished my project that I needed to update my After Effects in order to export my project with Adobe Media Encoder. After I updated After Effects and tried to export my project using AME an error came up saying exactly what the subject says. The error states "Could not connect to Adobe After Effects 2021. Please verify that Adobe After Effects 2021 is installed. Both of the progams say they're up to date. If I try the other method by going to 'Composition' then 'Add to Adobe Media Encoder...' my project doesn't show up in AME even after I've rendered my project. If anyone could help I would really appreciate it!

When I click export with media encoder and start exporting the screen is completly black and when it's done it's just a black video.

As per the heading.  I made a responsive deseign MOGRT in AE with animation at the top and tail which works perfectly. In Ppro I can make it whatever duration i like and the animations are pinned in place. If i render out of PP then it's perfect, if I sent to ME then nothing at all, just the video underneath the MOGRT is rendered which is hugley annoying if you need to render multiple versions. Is this a bug or a feature? Ppro/ME 14.9OSX 10.15.7 (happened on 10.13.6 too)GTX770

I need to export a project and after waiting 5 hours, just as it is about to finish, the program says it is not responding. What should I do?

Hey guys, I've updated to media encoder 14.5 from 14.4 yesterday and experienced frustratingly long rendering times (6-7 times longer than usual) that forced me to downgrade back to 14.4. I am using YT 1080p settings with max render quality on CUDA renderer. Am I the only one or is this a bug?

I'm trying to render a timeline that is extremely long (about 8 days) H.264 VBR, 1 pass, target 10 mbps. I immediately get this error. Software only rendering does not fix it.

Do I need to install Quicktime to use the Photo JPEG codec?  It is missing from my list of options when I try to export to Quicktime format.I am on Windows 10.Thanks in advance,rgames

I'm following all the instructions (H.264), but to no avail. How do I export a true MP4?

I created an After Effects composition in dynamic link in a Premiere project.I exported the project and everything is OK. Next, I changed a text in the Afetr Effects composition, saved both the AE and the Premiere projects.The modified text appeared correctly in my Premeire timeline.  But when I exported the Premiere project, the video file has been encoded with the old version of the AE composition and not the modified one. I tried several times with the same result. I had to restart my computer to be able to encode the latest version of the timeline. This problem happened several times in different projects. Would anybody have an idea of the reason? Thanks a lot

Hello, I'm running OS X El Capitan and for a few weeks, Media encoder has stopped working properly: the program starts correctly, but does not add items to the queue when exporting from After effects. I uninstalled Media Encoder and now I cannot install any Media encoder. 2018 version does not appear as an option to install anywhere (neither in the Adobe Creative Cloud app nor on the Adobe website) and later versions are not compatible with my OS.Any idea how I can install Media Encoder 2018?

Hello there. I'm working on numerous After Effects projects on my new PC. The specs are Ryzen 7 5800x and an RTX 3070. For some reason, media encoder does not use the 3070 to video encode. Any help with this? I've tried everything with enabling hardware encoding in the output settings.

Hi everyone, Media Encoder stopped recognizing my queue about two weeks ago. I thought there might be an update that would fix the issue, however, it still persists. Thus far, I haven't found any solution online, but it seems this issue is recurring. Does anyone have an idea for a fix? Thanks in advance! Cheers,Julia

I make music videos in After Effects, with 1 audio track as the only source of sound. This audio track has no clipping, as it has already been mastered within my audio program. It is not clipping within AE, and it sounds fine in the live preview. However, when I export using AME, there is consistently a sound as if the audio is clipping in specific parts of the audio (usually it happens during the parts of the track that I have applied an EQ filter). However, if I export directly from AE, the file exports with perfect audio, just as it sounds within the live preview.I have tested this using direct WAV export, using matching frequency and bitrate settings, etc. Nothing I did could prevent AME from introducing an audio glitch.
