I meant PPI, apologies. @Stephen Marsh Reset trasform worked! Thank you! Quite odd, as it says 100% when importing. I wouldn't expect it to then reset to pixel values after all. @D Fosse When the jpeg comes from another source like Resolve you can't change the PPI. It also happens when disabling smart objects. It just places it resized, always 😱 So it's actually better to enable smart objects, as you can get the pixel values using that little reset button in the properties. as I've now learned.. I think I'll make an Action with shortcut for that... @Adobe I understand that for some workflows this behavior might be desirable but it should absolutely NOT be the ONLY behavior...

Just installed PS 26.9.0. After 34 popups, I could finally work and dragged a 4k jpg into a 4k PSD file. It opens smaller. While it actually says 100%. Turns out that it reads the PPI size (pixels/inch) instead of the actual PIXEL size.... So now I have to open separately, then copy and paste........ REALLY? Still no "fit" "fill" and "pixel to pixel" options? You can't be serious, Adobe... 😭 Thousands of emplyees and none thinking of simple workflow improvements?... In settings, disabling "skip transform when placing", "Resize image during place" and "Always create smart objects when placing" made NO difference. It opens smaller. Period. (edit: changed DPI to PPI as I meant PPI)

(respectful rant ✌) I guess I am the only one annoyed by it... Or am I the only one getting that text? Who ever thought placing UNIMPORTANT information on top of the photo you're trying to view was a good idea and why does nobody care?... It makes comparing similar photos an absolute pain. Info like this should be in some progress bar, not obtrusively on the photo. This is so stupid I can not put it into words 😁 Two years later and nothing has changed (latest version). How can someone (well, everyone, appearently) NOT be annoyed by this... How is this still not fixed and how can I not find any other topic on it except my own.... It can sometimes also show "loading", when for example I change the preview size to "embedded". Please Adobe place it in a progress bar, like the one on the bottom. I am so sure this is an extremely easy fix, just like updating some CSS on a website.

I prompted somthing on the laptop and favorited it. This is saved locally, in the browser cache. (Yes I am not joking.) There doesn't seem to be any way - at all - to open it on another machine. I can only save a strongly compressed jpeg to the cloud (or at all). I tried favouriting in Chrome on the laptop and open the links on the PC but that doesn't work. Adobe Evaporizing Cloud © Is there ANY way - at all - you can save links to the creations for future use? Can you only save as severely compressed Jpeg? Not as PNG or something?

How about saving the favoiurites in the cloud and not locally on only that particular browser... Cloud this cloud that and then the app that operates entirely in the cloud saves the favourites locally in the browser.... I haven't even found out how the heck I transfer favourites to my cloud at all. It only saves a severy compressed Jpeg in the cloud... What the heck... That is the most stupid thing I've seen in ages.

Even though your explanation does not reflect the behavior, disabling layer snapping did actually solve the problem (other than that it doesn't snap to layers now...). However, if I make a blank document and duplicate the background layer (which is the only layer), when I move the duplicate it snaps to an invisible grid relative to the screen and not the image size. So this has nothing to do with snapping to layers and can only be discribed as a bug. (I hope Adobe is reading along...)

Since some recent update, the move tool snaps to some invisble grid and it drives me nuts. The grid is screen related and not zoom related. Snap to grid is disabled! Disabling all snapping or holding down control circumvents this behavoir but then nothing snaps... Is this some sort of new "feature" ?

I dicided to work with the touch functionality of my Wacom tablet but in Photoshop I can't click by tapping the touchpad. I checked wacom settings, it's really enabled. Touch click works in all other (non-adobe) applications. Anybody know a solution? Been searching for it but can't find it, other than other people with unsolved similar problems.

Am I the only one that is endlessly annoyed by Bridge saying "Loading high quality preview" ON TOP OF every selected image? And even not just once? Raw, tiff you name it. If you want to say that, a proper UX designer would put that in some status bar because it's totally irrelevant. Please note that it's not even loading the full res preview at that point. You have to zoom in for that. Also, it's brurred first and then becomes sharp (in about half a second). It makes it impossible to back-forth compare images it they don't load properly. Bridge 8.1 (!!) doesn't suffer Either of those problems so I STILL use that. Version 8.1 loads images instantly at the same resolution as 2023 and without any blur or message on top of the photo. Hail the subscription model.

I thought I was going crazy, but it turns on that on many occasions bridge 2023 does NOT delete a file (win10). It disappears in Bridge but it just remains in the folder, and becomes visible again after refresh or restart. If it can't delete for some reason it should give a messeage. Bridge is USELESS like this so AGAIN, back to Bridge 2018 (!!) which thankfully I have still installed. Adobe when will you get your things together and finally focus on key functionallity again?

OMG I can't believe they are still NOT TESTING their releases. They fix a years old, incredibly dumb bug only to introduce another. I'm once again on the verge of cancelling my subsription. Audition has been the same for 10+ years except for varying bugs.

I just discovered that when saving a file as MP3, the quality is very poor, even at 320kbps CBR. I simply noticed with my ears that it sounded muddy. When I checked the waveform it was confirmed. So see if this is the best MP3 has to offer, I did a similar export (320Kbps CBR) using Izotope RX6. And the export from RX6 sounded much better and punchier, with a similar file size. This too can be confirmed in the attached screenshot. Please improve.. So many MP3's, unnecessarily sounding bad... 😞 I won't be using it anymore, but many people rely on audition. It is incredibly inconvenient to press space (play) every single time you jump in the timeline. It makes editing MUCH slower. How is this not an option!?... I'd swear I've seen someone doing this on a Mac, is it still not an option? Browsing the internet, I see this has been requested for at least 10 years, if not forever since Premiere existed.

I use Live paint to test segmented designs, but the live paint bucked (For reasons unknown to me there is no NORMAL bucket) fills non-existing parts too, making it much more tedious to fill parts. See attachment

It happens when changing a rating or label. Appearently this info is saved in the file itself? Anyway, dates should obviously not be influenced by any rating or labeling of the files. I have added a bug report in the Uservoice Brigde section.

Thank you again Dave and D_Fosse, that is a very clear answer. So that leaves me to assume the SpyderX software measures inaccurate. Makes sense as even with extended gray level measurement only a handful of grays seem to pass the screen. Besides that I still think it is very odd that it works that way at all, since that makes it a complete no-go for any web use.

Wow thank you Dave, I hope you did not write all that just now 🙂 If I understand correctly, I had everything set up correctly already at the start. D_Fosse suggests a corrupt profile. Hovever, that profile is used to correct the colors using the videocard. I've also calibrated a TV screen and colors of my monitor and the TV are now identical. So the profile is not corrupt. I just discovered that Irfanview (from the screenshot) is actually behaving the same with files that have a color profile (it supports color management as well). This is just really weird. Gray level 1 (that's the lowest value next to pure black on an 8bit file) should never be that bright. I hope I can return the Spyder because this is extremely frustrating. Why on earth should colors change in-program based on the system profile. That makes no sense at all to me and mixes up web-colors as well.

I've just 'solved' the problem by setting the RGB color profile in the Color Settings to the measurement profile from the SpyderX. Is it me or is this totally counter-productive and far from logical? I do not see any benefit in this. I am quite sure 75% of the people calibrating their monitor do not change this in Photoshop.

Thanks for the reply. Something is really wrong. In the SpyderX tray menu I can easily disable the color management. ALL colors on the screen change (subtly) when doing that. Including photoshop and whatever is open in Photoshop. This can not be print-screened. Photoshop seems to be loading the active color profile ON TOP of that or something, resulting in messed up colors in general (all gray values are too bright actually). When I set the system profile back to sRGB, colors return normal in PS, but calibration goes down the drain as well (but still WAY better). Photoshop sould NOT be changing any colors, since the system is already doing that. What's going on here?

As can be seen in the below screenshot, I just discovered that the black levels of Photoshop are being displayed too bright. I don't know when this started happening, but it did not use to be that way. I recently installed SpyderX color calibration software. I am not sure if that could be the cause, but no other software is having this issue. Also, when I quit the Spyder software it's still the same. Also, SpyderX color profiles do not appear in a screenshot. But the wrong colors are picked up in the screenshot as seen below, so it is really rendered like that in Photoshop. So my guess right now would be that this is a programming error since a recent version of Photoshop (probably the version before 21.1.1). It's rather painful, as now I can't edit anything in photoshop because the black levels are wrong. I've been editing over a 100 photo's wrongly by now. I also tried chaning the color settings in Photoshop but nothing changes actually. Bridge does show the right colors but I still use Bridge 8 since the new bridge GUI is worse. There is a lot of strange stuff going on when trying to import an AAF exported with Pro Tools. Embedded AAF just gives a mute, red colored timeline. With linked or copied audio files, import is working, sort of... - There are 1-frame clips before and after every cut. - In the bin, there are "FA clips" next to the normal clips. - There is a "FA clip" sequence as well in the bin, containing 3 frames of random audio on 2 tracks. - And why every clip is named "CH 1" is also unclear to me (nothing in the Pro Tools session was named Ch 1). None of this happens when importing the same AAF back into a blank Pro Tools session. There are no fades in the Pro Tools session (maybe 1, that would be the "fade 2 FA clip" I guess. I did 10 different export / import attempts. Is there a way to properly import AAF into Premiere? Premiere Pro CC 13.0.2, Win10. Edit: The 1 frame clips also happen when importing an OMF into Audition, maybe Pro Tools is messing it up (that would be remarkable).

@Jacob: Unfortunately the stroke doesn't maintain position if alignment was set to outside or inside. Your trick is a bit complex, but thanks @Tomy: Thanks, but when a shape is not closed, the alignment of the stroke moves to the center (with that, changing the composition). Align stroke only works with closed shapes (latest version 22.1). With arrays I mean that I can duplicate a shape, and when editing, all duplicates change. I will give Symbols as mentioned by Jacob a try.

What happens if you close the path (Ctrl/Cmd+J, then align to the inside and snap, then delete the closing segment? The align jumps back to center of the path line. (Yes, am am not joking) How about Symbols? Search results I will give that a try, thank you.

I can’t snap line edges. Wouldn't be a problem if I could change the alignment of a stroke (inside-outside, like is possible in Photoshop), but I can't. The result is that I have to manually move and resize the lines if I need to change the thickness. And it is never perfect because I can't snap. ( If I convert the lines to shapes, I can not change the curves of the line anymore so I still can't snap, and also I can't change the thickness anymore. ) Also making arrays (mirroring identical instances and easily editing them by double clicking on 1 of them like in for example SketchUp) is not possible. I understand that the only way to use identical instances of a shape is to drop it in the CC library, and pull it out again. But that sucks big time and brings along a giant mountain of trouble and CRAP once you want to make outlines and Pathfinder 'Minus front' the shapes to get the final image. Am I using the wrong software?
