Total newbie here! I am using premier pro cc 2017.1.2 for the first time and my goal is to do something I think should be simple but of course I am having issues with it. I am creating a series of screen cast videos and I want to be able to reduce them from their full screen size. I am doing the screen capturing with Camtasia. My files are 1620 pixels wide. In Camtasia reducing the actual frame size reduces the video quality too much so I decided to try Premier Pro. The quality is better when I scale the video down but I cannot for the life of me get the frame size to match the actual video area. I am changing the scale setting but can’t seem to get the frame size to match, there is always a border, or it is not in the right proportion. In the effect panel, position seems to just move the scaled video around the frame area, the same seems to be happening with anchor points. If I do get close when I go to import it as an animated gif, that is the format I have been asked for, the dimensions return to the default frame size. I guess what I want to be able to do is crop the frame size to match my video area. Is that possible? Any tutorials I find that address this seem to be on older versions with a slightly different interface, as in nothing I need is where they say it is. Thanks in advance for the help, RL
