This is more two questions in one, but both are for similar reasons. First off, is there a way to do more sharp angles with the puppet warp? To use an L shape as an example, let's say I want to make it into a 45 degree angle with the puppet warp, how would I setup the pins to do that whilst minimizing curve? Second is more of a quality of life sort of thing with the pen tool, but if I'm making a path with the pen tool, how would I go about removing the blue-dot-thing so I can make a sharp angle after making a curved path? I usually just place the anchor point, select the covert tool, remove the front dot-thing, and then continue with the path. There's a faster and more convenient way of doing this, right? ... This fourm is stupid!] Easily one of my biggest bottlenecks when it comes to character design is hair. One of the more tougher things for me is when it comes to bangs since they tend to have curves that I have a tough time replicating. I know I can do this with the rotate and warp tools, It tends to distort the pathing and requires me to repair it, which only makes it worse. As such, can you guys offer me techniques to stiff like this? Can you also let me know if there's any way of using the rotate tool that allows me to rotate anchor points without messing up the path? I have a feeling I worded that poorly, but I'll better explain it. I'm still learning Illustrator, but I seem to be getting good at making stuff like Logos & Icons. However, I am trying to create a computer chip icon for a logo I'm working on, but I don't know how to approch...whatever those little nubs are that stick out of the chip. This give me a good time to ask about potential ways of creating patterns like this. I do have A way of doing it (via just merging a bunch of small rectangles into a square), but I want to ask if there are any tips I should take to either speed this process up, and/or help with evening out the gaps between them. ... I'm pretty new to illustrator and I could not find a better way to word this problem. But I'm currently working on a comic strip and I've run into a problem. In the image I have left, this character is meant to be looking down at a device. However, I can't quite figure out a quick and convenient way to crop the iris/pupils so they don't go outside the eye itself. I don't quite understand how clipping masks work so I normally just use the pen or pathfinder tools. Though they work, they seem like too much of a hassle. What method should I use to better crop shapes from extending out of other shapes? ... View more
