I'm using Adobe Illustrator ver 29.6 and Photoshop 26.6 on a Windows 11 machine with 32 GB ram, RTX A2000 12 GB. I save the rastered image in Photoshop as a flattened .tiff file (no transparency, no compression, interleaved, IBM PC byte order). Then I place the image within my Illustrator .ai file. I then save the Illustrator file as a different file name (I tried both .eps and .ai) and told it to include linked .tiff file. This has never been an issue before. With this particular file I use, I keep updating a different 36" x 120" file that includes the rastered image (designed at 300dpi, at actual size = 1.16GB each update). Of the 60+ updates and resaves of this file with updated rastered .tiff images, I have never encountered this issue. So far this year, I have saved 14 variations of the .eps file to the same folder.

I was able to find a work around (which I prefer not to use). I saved my rastered image as flat PDF instead of flat TIFF (both files IDENTICAL in file size and BOTH with ZERO compression). I can save the .EPS with the linked PDF but not with the linked TIFF?? Using .tiffs saved as linked files has been flawless up until this week (I saved a linked .tiff last week and it worked fine).

"Can't save the illustration. The requested transformation would make some objects too large." I've been saving identical and similar style .EPS files for several years now, and this is the first time I get the error. I tried saving as .EPS and .AI (with it including the linked file). I get error everytime now. The embedded/linked .tiff file is the same size as prev linked .tiff files from past few years ~1.0 Gig. Why is Illustrator preventing me from including the linked files now?

Spent over 30mins in remote session with Adobe Support. Said their Native Canvas was to blame... they deactivated it in PS preferences and freezing seems to have stopped (not able to recreate anymore).

This is still happening on a regular basis, 2-3x a day - when using the mask tool on a computer with 80GB RAM, i7-10700, GPU disabled in preferences, Windows 11.

So if someone has on-board Intel graphics, they are not allowed to use Photoshop (without it freezing at least once a day)? That's not good software assurance. I've turned off "use GPU" in preferences... and it mostly happens when I am masking, doing multiple mask, delete, mask, delete... if I go too fast, PS freezes and loose anything since last save. PS version 23.5.0 gpu = Quadro K2000 (updated driver and supports Windows 11) This happens 1-2x per day (working on anywhere from 10-20 projects a day). Annoying if for some reason I haven't saved a particular project in the past 20 mins.

I see brand names availble in search tags all the time, shouldn't be a problem as long as they are not reproducing logos or exact trademarked content. If they do, it usually gets filed as "editorial."

I downloaded the following image: Polaroid, instant photo illustration. Stock Vector | Adobe Stock But I only received an .ai file that has a non-vector image within the file. I cannot use the rastered file within the .ai file.

I typed text on a path in this file, did not outline it, saved the file as .ai file week or so ago and when I opened it this morning, I cannot edit or select the text on the path within the file.

Apparently Illustrator updated in past day or so, preventing me from editing existing live (not outlined) text in several .ai files I had saved in recent days... there is a "workaround" that I found from past problems with this in Illustrator. workaround from way back in 2014: Solved: Suddenly can't edit live type in an Illustrator fi... - Adobe Support Community - 5799618 Very frustrating that I have to use an 8 year old workaround for this. And the update was from the most recent 25.x ver to 26.1 (I have auto updates on.) Besides not being able to edit the text, it won't even let me select it with any selection tools - only way to select it to click on the actual layer in the Layers Panel.

I have a PSD file that I modify a Smart Object in multiple times. After each modify/edit of the SO, I print a copy of the image purposely - then undo my SO change, modify it again, and print a new modified copy. I noticed that if I hit CTRL-Z to undo my SO modify - it does nothing? I have to hit CTRL-Z twice to get the SO undo. I then notice that Photoshop is trying to undo my print with my first CTRL_Z?? What? and Why? (and the "Undo Print" is an option 10 mins later if I leave the image alone after printing it, go to the printer to get my printed image, and hold printed image in my hand.)

Why is the CC App prompting updates to new versions of the Apps (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Media Encoder, etc...) that are stated under system requirements that Windows 10 is minimum OS required? Why is the CC App allowing App vers that do not support Windows 7? Windows 7 because our company has not rolled out Windows 10 updates yet and because until recent months, we had other 3rd party software that did not work properly on Windows 8 or 10. So regardless of why the computer has Windows 7 - WHY is the CC App allowing versions of Adobe's apps to be installed when it is stated that Windows 10 is requried? The consequence is having ver of the apps that are now not working correctly or missing features.

when I copy and paste an image out of Photoshop to... say Outlook. I have NO CHOICE. My Photoshop window automatically reduces down to Restore Down mode. When I click Maximize to make it fullscreen again, my panel heights reset to equal heights (3 panels = each panel is 33% height, 4 panels = each panel is 25% height, etc.) There is nothing I have found to STOP Photoshop from going to Restore Down size/mode when I paste something out of Photoshop.

everyone is missing my point. I dock my panels on the right side of photoshop and adjust the height of my three panels. Save them to your workspace. If YOU do this (doesn't have to be 3 panels, just 2 or more with diff heights) AND THEN Restore and Maximize your Photoshop screen, YOU WILL LOSE your panel height adjustments. Why do I have to keep resetting my workspace to fix this? Seems like an unnecessary step? 1) If I copy and paste out of Photoshop, the window is AUTOMATICALLY reduced to Restore Down size. Nothing I can do to stop it. If I Maximize the window back to fullscreen, I lose my panel heights and HAVE TO reset my workspace. This is annoying to constantly do this 10-30x a day? 2) Don't copy and paste, just Restore Down your Photoshop window (regardless of why) and then Maximize window. You lose your panel heights and HAVE TO reset your workspace. Why? Can I not Maximize my Photoshop window WITHOUT losing my custom panel height adjustments? Is the answer to that question "No," I can't?

Make your layers panel 80% height on the right dock, and make your adjustments panel 20% height. Now Restore your maximized Photoshop window, then Maximize it again. Your layers panel is now 50% height and adjustments is 50% height. That is my problem. When Photoshop window is "un-Maximized" and them "Maximized", I lose all my panel adjustments in height. Having to hit "reset my workspace" EVERY time is not ideal. Why can't Photoshop just keep my panel adjustments instead of auto adjusting them to equal heights (2 panels = 50% height each panel, 4 panels = 25% height each, etc.). Why can't Photoshop just leave well enough alone?

Here is my 3 step process. Step 1, I start with ideal workspace I have saved over a year ago (notice how it is still checked under workspace menu). I then flatten image to copy. Step 2, I copy and paste highlighted flattened image into a new email in Outlook. Notice that the Photoshop window is now NOT maximized/fullscreen, it is now in Restore Down size/mode. This happens automatically after pasting. Even in smaller size now, Photoshop STILL has my correct panel sizes in my workspace. Step 3, when I Maximize my Photoshop window to make it full screen again, I loose my panel sizes - they automatically revert to equal sized height (3 panels, each 33% of total height). This makes my Layers panel crammed which I prefer it not to be. I have to reset this EVERY time I copy and paste OR if I simply Restore my Photoshop window (without copy pasting) and Maximize it - SAME thing happens to my panels. Frustrating for over a year now.

See attached image. I adjust my panels on the right side of my workspace in my layout to allow maximum height for my layers panel. The panels shown on the left in my image are my ideal layout/spacing/height. But if I take Photoshop out of fullscreen (Maximize window) to Restore Down size and then make it fullscreen again, my panels reset -- panels on the right in my image -- so each panel is equal in height (making layer panels shorter again). I have to keep resizing my panels so I can get the taller layers panel. Can this be fixed? Related to this issue, everytime I copy something within Photoshop to my clipboard (say a mask/clip of an image) and paste it elsewhere (say Word or Outlook), Photoshop will automatically go out of "Maximize" and into "Restore Down" size.... and I lose my panel layout again. Frustrating for the past few photoshop updated versions. Thanks for any input.

I have a few custom brushes and patterns (we're talking maybe 10-20 total of each, not 100s) and 10 or so custom action scripts. My history states is unchanged from ver 19.x.x is at 20 states. I had the same plugins with ver 19 that would only use ~500mb just to open the program. If every time I update/upgrade, am I going to have to re-install every plugin (brushes, patterns, actions)? I'm on a PC, not a Mac. The curr ver was in the discussion title (20.0.4). I don't remember my 19.x.x ver as it was uninstalled with Adobe updated me to ver 20.0.4. My old ver I still have installed was noted as 2015.1.2. I did not change or reset any settings or preferences within Photoshop after it was updated from 19 to 20, unless Adobe did so without my knowledge? But Photoshop is set to use 17879MB (60%) of my memory (I have 32 GB installed). But is Adobe now eating memory on purpose to steal resources?? I know Adobe admitted that every time Photoshop will take memory to use, it will not release it (but "reserves" it to use later). This, IMO, is very unhelpful and not efficient on users who do MORE than just Photoshop. My old Photoshop 2015 is set to same settings of 60% of my memory in preferences, but it still only uses <500MB just to open the program.
