I recently moved to a new computer. In my last computer, my lightroom was on my e drive. the new computer has the e drive reserved for the dvd. I had no problem renaming drives and bringing over all my pictures -redirected all folders to the correct drive_but now lightroom continuously gives me the message that "lightroom cannot write to the following directories. until this problem is resolved, lightroom cc may not function properly E I am not having any problems that i see from this but any thoughts on how to tell lightroom that the e drive is now something else.

I updated and the creative cloud app says it is updating to version 20 -phew!!!!!i know i should have updated first but wanted to get all my ps stuff uploaded to work. thanks for the help:)

I am hoping that is the version-i was putting off the update till I finished loading everything but in googling, it seems my version doesn't support the update-I am in the process of the update right now and hoping that is the solution. thank you for answering:)

I am setting up a new windows 10 computer and went to the cloud to load my photoshop and it is not uploading the latest version. It load ps 19.1.7 and says there is no update and the cloud says there are no updates. on my windows 7 computer i am running ps 20.Any thoughts on why the cloud is not giving me the latest version.

thank you for that explanation -i have an eye-one display 2 but it is old and probably not working as well as it should. am thinking of renting one to see if it makes a difference. any recommendations?

I searched the former questions on this topic where the color red is appearing more orange toned-most people say it is a monitor in need of calibration. I have checked with others using photoshop using the same picture and theirs looks orange too in photoshop when the color is registering as a truer red. My monitor is calibrated and reds are the only thing i have any problem with-all the others are exactly as i see on my monitor. My question is why does the same picture look like the red it actually is when I open it in other programs like IrfanView -if it were monitor calibration, it should look the same no matter where i open it i assume.Am posting some samples of what i am seeing -they look pretty dull here but the one on the left is photoshop-right irfanview this shows you the actual color reading in photoshop any thoughts on this?

My lightroom was syncing fine to mobile but hadn't noticed until recently that the syncing was paused. When i tell it to sync I get the message below. i am not seeing a duplicate backup or why there should be one. I moved out the contents of the backup and rebooted lightroom to make another backup but the problem is still there. i went to preferences and told it to rebuild the sync but still didn't fix it. any ideas on why this is occurring or how to fix it.I am wondering if this happened when we had the update to classic and i didn't notice that i wasn't syncing

i don't know how i fixed this-somehow in playing i got the color of the white on the mask and it was slipping to a greyer color-i have no idea how.I had checked my black/whites and they were 255 and 0. Very odd-thanks for getting me to look into the color- would be interested to know how the setting could slip like that-as i said it painted at 100% white when i painted on a blank layer and i tested that color with the info and i was at 255, 255,255

what is odd --you had me thinking so i just tried a layer mask-reveal all and painted with black over a layer and it is working fine-it is just my white on a hide all mask that is the problem

A problem has developed in my photoshop CS 6 64 bit on windows 7. I can't paint at full opacity in a layer mask. It is like an 75 % opacity brush. I have gone back to the default brushes soit is not the particular bursh. My brush settings are all at 100%, mask density is 100% , the blend mode is normal,-can't think of where else to look for the solution.The brush works just fine when I am not in a layer mask. I updated the graphic card driver and also the wacom intuos driver. It has to be somewhere in photoshop CS6 as when I go into my older version photoshop, cs5, the mask opacity works works at 100 % opacity Any ideas of what to do next.
