rayek.elfin​ I'm talking about changing the angle of brush or clone source and mentioned rotating canvas or objects just as additional convenience benefits of physical knob which you can rotate, so you are wrong - neither touch nor physical controls do exactly that. I tried to assign shortcut keys for rotating the angle of clone source to tablets' ring, but it just doesn't work - to rotate the clone source 45 degrees I would have to swirl the ring hundreds of times... It would be worth for me to buy 3D mouse to be able to rotate the clone source with minimal gesture where rotation of the knob corresponds to the angle of the clone source... Also, a lot of people work with one hand holding the pen and the other hand on the keyboard so the touch feature of a tablet is useless (I think this is a reason why Wacoms have physical button to turn off the touch thing). ... Actually, I did and they told me that they really wanted to enable all capabilities of their device like for example rotating knob movements to be supported by Photoshop, but to do this they needed API from Adobe, but apparently Adobe wouldn't reply to their requests. ... View more

Hey JJMack, Thank you for your reply. Well, that's the point, I believe like most retouchers I don't use mouse to work in Photoshop... I use pen and tablet. Forgetting convenience features like zoom, pan, rotating objects, which yes you can do with pen, still there are a lot of possibilities for 3D mouse / rotation knobs to enhance Photoshop 2D workflow. Compare rotating knob vs hitting 3 keys repeatedly back and forth, to adjust the angle of the clone source or angle of the brush... ... View more

Some of very helpful uses for 3D mouse in 2D work like retouching, apart from obvious ones like zoom, pan, adjusting brush size and hardness would be rotating things like canvas, objects, or brush angle and something I personally miss the most - rotating the clone source angle. Generally, rotating things in Photoshop using shortcut-keys is cumbersome and if it was possible to adjust the angle of features mentioned above, where angle corresponds to rotation of the 3D mouse knob would be simply amazing. Hey DBarranca, Yes I did. The new file has all the other properties set ok (like info.author, info.city, info.copyrighted and so on). Only the creation date remains as in original file - info.createDate just does nothing at all. I'm not sure if SuperMerlins last answer suggests that there is a mistake in documentation? I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I literally copied and pasted your script and it didn't change the Created Date. When I open the file in Bridge, I can see the original date, when I open the file in Photoshop and open "File Info" the Created Date in "Description" tag is still set to original date. None of the dates in "Raw Data" is changed to "2010/01/24" too. If I intentionally define wrong string (for example '24012010') it doesn't change the Creation Date to undefined as well. Hey, Having installed CS6, I can see "Try / Buy Now" buttons next to CC Apps, why Acrobat has "Update"? In my opinion, this notification is not only annoying but also misleading - instead of "Update" it should say "Try" or "Buy". like the other Apps. Although @Test Screen Name suggested it is very complicated, I think this could be simply resolved by adding another option under the gear icon, next to the Apps' name. Currently it has just one option "Manage application > Uninstall" and you could add there "Ignore this App update notifications". Thx ... View more
