Hi! I'm using the 3D Camera Tracker to integrate text in a scene, but the text looks very fake. What could I do to blend it better? Adding grain, noise, blur, and matching the depth of field are great initial steps, but they often aren’t enough to fully integrate the text into the scene. I was hoping for something like Photoshop’s 'Blend If' to better match lighting and textures. Thank you! Christian.

Thank you so much! Everything works exactly as planned according to your instructions. However, when I test with a triangle, the shape moves out of place when I use the pickwhip expression to link it to the Null's rotation property.

I found a solution: Activate the Position property of the shape. Create an animation using at least 3 keyframes. Select the keyframes. Right-click > Keyframe Interpolation > Auto Bezier for Temporal Interpolation and Spatial Interpolation. Right-click > Rove Accross Time. Easy Ease the keyframes. Use the Graph Editor to control the velocity. Now if only I could find a solution for Path animations... (Found it: lots of tweeking with the Graph Editor seems to work.)

Hi! Can someone please tell me why After Effects tutorials are no longer in order? I completed them a long time ago and now want to refer them to someone, but to my surprise, the tutorials are all over the place. Working on the main timeline is generally considered to be bad practice. Understood! On the topic of the masks, I assumed you wanted the text to appear as if it is being written in a logical, natural manner; the way one would do it if writing with a pen. Exactly! I also think the frame by frame method seems like the less complicated way...

Hi! I used Flash a long time ago, and some things don't seem to work anymore with Animate. One of those things is being able to use multiple mask layers to reveal another layer. For example, if my memory serves me right, I used 5 different mask layers to reveal this shape: Basically, my question is: how can I reveal a complex shape, like a logo, with Animate? But today, it started freezing every time a composition uses some effects like Fast Box Blur, Noise, Displacement Map, etc. However, some effects don't freeze 2019, like Tint, Bend it, etc. No problem in 2018.
