You have to have the timeline cursor on the keyframe you want to modify. In this case, it would be pretty handy to have a way to make the time indicator automatically move to a selected keyframe.

Hi! Is there a way to make the time indicator move to a keyframe when I select a keyframe? I find it really annoying having to move the time indicator all the time to modify a keyframe. (In Flash, you would just click on a keyframe in order to modify it...) In other words, I would like to modify keyframes by just selecting them! Thanks!

Thanks everyone. But I'm not rendering anything right now. My question is this: I've read the following on numerous Websites: 2K 2560 x 1440 (typical monitor resolution) 2048 x 1080 (official cinema resolution) How can the cinema resolution be lower than the typical monitor resolution? If I understand correctly, cinema studios shoot movies in 2048 x 1080, but people view them on 2560 x 1440 monitors. Wouldn't 2048 x 1080 movies appear blurry or smaller on 2560 x 1440 displays? Shouldn't it be the other way around?

I tried setting the keyboard to FR in After Effects' keyboard shortcuts. It's no good for me because French Canadian keyboards are QWERTY and not AZERTY. I also set the keyboard to EN in After Effects' keyboard shortcuts (along with an English OS keyboard), and nothing still works. I started to change a lot of my After Effects shortcut, but I can't find a lot of them in the keyboard shortcuts window... Thank you!

Hi! I am currently following all of the tutorials here: https://helpx.adobe.com/ca/after-effects/tutorials.html, and unfortunately, a lot of shortcuts don't work for me. For example, in this tutorial Compréhension de la création de compositions à l'aide de calques, it says that option + { will move the endpoint of the layer to the current time indicator. The problem is, { isn't a keyboard key! In order to type this symbol, I have to do option + 8. Same thing with this: Toggle expansion of selected layers to show all properties: Command+` (accent grave) ` is not a key! What am I not understanding? Also, other shortcuts as shift + / don't work either... Thanks!

Hi, I have the same issue. I was working successfully last week with After Effects CC 2019 (16.1.1). However, I was tired of Bridge opening my PSD files with After Effects, so I reset Bridge (cmd + alt + shift when opening Bridge). Since then, After Effects CC 2019 isn't working anymore; playback with the spacebar doesn't work, nothing appears in the Composition panel, and After Effects freezes when I try to close a project. I restarted my MacBook Pro numerous times, I reset After Effects (cmd + alt + shift when opening), I uninstalled and reinstalled it, and it still doesn't work. I even created a new user, installed AE 2019, and I got the same problems... However, AE CC 2018 works fine. But that's too bad for my CC 2019 work, though, as AE CC 2019 just doesn't work. It was working fine last week!
