This has been happening to me too since the 20.1 update I carried out a few days ago. I've never seen InDesign crash so often – and I've used every version since 1.0!   At first, I couldn't figure out what was triggering the crash as it seemed random, but have to agree with Marty that it's when you option-drag an object to copy it while moving. I think it might only be when you option-drag on, or to, the pasteboard, but unsure as it doesn't always happen when you perform that action.    InDesign 20.1 Mac OS 14.4 MacMini (2020) 16GB No third-party plug-ins Has occurred on different files, but haven't created a 'new' document so can't comment on that. This feature is already in After effects. Photoshop works with placed Vector (smart) objects. It seems crazy that a flagship app like Premiere Pro cannot scale-up placed vector graphics without pixelation… Please add, because saving out - and duplicating - files is so 20th century. ... View more

Notwithstanding that you aren't going to see p99 with p100… 😉    It's not perfect on first applciation, but you would only need to have 3 master pages for 1x / 2x / 3x digit numbers if you were worried about alignment. This is why I mentioned adjusting the length of the path to adjust vertical position.    You might be able to fine-tune with kerning / spacing / leading / tracking / justification / etc. to get the deisred result - but I just haven't got the time to experiment 😛  ... Try putting type on a path…   Draw a vertical path and add your text (ie: Page number marker on your master page). Choose the 'Stairstep' option. Then in paragraph style choose 'full justify'.   Once you have a point size you are happy with, you can alter the vertical 'spacing' between character by making the path longer or short.    Hope that helps! 🙂  ... Additional screenshots of the 'Storage' section of the Admin console added…   As you can see, I have 600GB+ in my individual folder and the other user has about 10GB.  How can I get that 600GB+ from my Individual fodler into a shared folder?    At some point, my Individual folder will hit 1TB and my quota limit… but now we are supposed to have POOLED Creative Cloud storage, meaning that I should be able to store 2TB of data on CC. But I can only do this via shared folders…    So my question remains… how can I access shared fodlers to take advantage of the pooled CC storage?     To address some of thepoint above: Shared libraries DO NOT show up in the shared folders part of the admin console. If these folders are not accessable, then why can I create and name them in the Admin console?     ... View more

Hi Vikrant,   Thanks for your answer. My understanding is that these shared folderes are a feature of the new storage system on Creative Cloud. So instead of certain files or folders just residing in one user's storage quota, it would the 'shared' between the combined users' storage space.  See attached image… so is there no way for me to directly access the 'Artwork' folder that I have created and shared… either via the web or a desktop 'synced' folder? Hi Sumit_Garg,   Thanks for your questions.   I never use Application Frame on any Adobe apps - it's the first thing I switch off when installing a new Adobe app! But I have switched it ON and back OFF again, just to test, and it displays the document correctly while it is open - but closing and opening the file again results in the incorrect display as previous.    If I remove the external monitor, then yes, the document displays correctly on the MacBookPro screen. Similarly, if I close the MacBookPro (Shutting down the laptop screen) the document also dispalys correctly.    So it seems there is an issue with running a mixture of retina and non-retina screens…? ... The step-back undo on CTRL / COMMAND - Z is massively infuriating - but I can understand it, as most other apps apply multiple undo in this way… …however, Photoshop is different as you want to use COMMAND-Z for a before / after switch. Having to now use two different keyboard shortcuts (with more fingers) once again, spoils the fluency of working in Photoshop and ultimately, costs time. ... View more

All it's almost 2019 so time to bring this thread back to life! We have been getting the "could not save [filename]…" message in Photoshop (and sometimes the equivalent in InDesign) since the CC 2019 updates in October (I think) This has been happening on two macs running 10.13 and now 10.14 - saving to a Windows server via SMB. I am sure it will end up being a server issue, but it's very odd that this only started happening when we updated our Creative Cloud apps - so it could have something to do with Adobe. I've tried switching-off 'preview' in the finder view options and de-selecting the open file in the finder - but these don't fix the issue.  We're looking into this at our end to see if we can come up with a solution as it's very annoying not being able to do a 'save' in photoshop and then ending up with dozens of iterations of the same file via 'save as…' If anyone else has any other suctions that we could try, then that would be great! ... I have to disagree with this because the action of clicking and dragging isn't just used when scaling. You click and drag to make a shape. You click and drag to crop. etc. Many people may want to scale in pro, but the majority of the click & drag an area actions are not wanted to be constrained. ... View more

UPDATE: OK - so the workaround I have found that works is that you need to have a second GPU window open - can be a new document. So I open the file I want (GPU on in preferences) - appears visually corrupt. Make new document using apple-N (This views correctly (Blank artboard)) Return to my first document (Still views corrupt). Apple-E to switch GPU off / CPU on. Apple-E to switch CPU off / GPU on. Boom. Very odd, but it seems to work all the time. ... View more
