I think I mean with the stroke being outlined, I guess to keep on the grid, I'd need to have the stroke inside/outside so the point snap. Being 3px, it'll be off the grid if it were centred. I can't really show an example at the moment, I was just asking for some advice. Thanks for the reply.

Hi, I've been given a load of icons to look at from a designer who's chosen a 150px grid and 3px stroke. A couple of things before I start. I'm redrawing some of the lines as they are off a pixel grid (stroke), which is fine, but one of the requests is to outline the path on completion. The problem is due to the stroke being 3px; the points will now come off the grid due to the point being 1.5px on either side. Should I push the stroke to 'outside' or 'inside' before I outline? Should the stroke really be an even number? Just getting some tips beforehand. lister

Hi, I'm designing some icons. Some shapes are irregular and have inner shapes within a filled icon. Although some points are snapped some can't. When it comes to curves etc. what's the best way to achieve sharpness. I guess you're constrained to the shapes in some parts. lister

Hi. I have a simple mobile site with a slide in map, when the user clicks a button within the content of the page. The map is on a seperate artboard ready to animate and slide in with a close button to return to the page. When I share a preview link, I don't want to show the Page with the map on it's own, is this possible ? If I include only the pages(hope that makesense). lister

I have Adobe Animate 23.0.1 and trying to export Video/Media with encoder. I get an error when exporting The rquirede version is not installed or damaged. I have encoder installed??? I remove it, install and try again... I get the same issue..

Can someone help. After the new update.. when I drag a file into a PSD from the mac finder, Camera raw opens over the top of photoshop. I want to skip this feature... how do I turn this off?

Hi, Im not too fimiliar with XD but was wodering is it possible to use XD to share some artboard (with banner formats) with a client to review? The banners will need to be at the correct native pixel dimensions (160x600) and to appear in a page for the client to see how things will look at the size shared. cheers lister

Hi, I have a few pages which have some mp4 playing (which I need to import). When I go to add rich media > add video, the video imports with extra height, top and bottom, it has black bars? the actual video is fine. I have the Snap to content proportions tuned on? Thanks so much for your help. Can I ask one more question please? We often retouch RGB images and also continue to edit in CMYK to tweak colours further. What's the best method here for future colour profile destination conversions? We may not always have the option to use the RGB?

This is a really detailed reply, really apprciate it. Ok, I can place hero RGB image in indesign. At the moment the indesign document is setup as CMYK (with specific brand colours in CMYK being used). I'll choose the output/destination to 'ISO....' as above, while preserving numbers in the PDF settings. So, no need to assign the colour workspace in indesign to 'ISO...', I can leave this as the default which is FOG39 (Europe General Purpose option in bridge). thanks again for your reply. lister

Thanks for all the answers so far. Sorry, this seems a dark art.. As we have a few people in the studio we use the 'Europe General Purpose' as a standard colour space to start off with. We do convert into FOG39 for CMYK as its a starting point. Going foward, if we convert the image (one image for this job) from RGB to CMYK using the 'ISOcoated_v2_300_eci.icc' this then looks fine (total ink has been checked and is around 300) and then relink the image in indesign while choosing 'Assign Profiles' to ''ISOcoated_v2_300' . Then this profile will picked up in PDF setting on output? 1. RGB to CMYK coversion with printer profile (ISO) 2. Assign Profile 3. Link new image (tagged) 4. Export to pdf using assigned profile (ISO) cheers for all the help so far

Hi everyone, we have a few press adverts using various colour profiles. Our main image has been converted into FOG39L from RGB to start with and Adobe is using the FOG39L workspace (synced). The publication requires 'ISOcoated_v2_300_eci.icc'. I was hoping I can place this profile into the library and in indesign allow the PDF to convert to the new profile above (using 'Convert to Destination (Preserve Numbers). For some reason when I pick this profile and make a PDF the Total ink is still above 300 (while checking Output Preview in Acrobat). Should I use 'Convert to Destination' instead? Knowing this will adjust the file? Everywhere I look online, it recommends using 'Convert to Destination (Preserve Numbers)'?
