Designer with 30+ years of experience here. I agree that you should use InDesign for anything over 2 pages. It's just so much easier to manage all those pages. Also InDesign is engineered to work with the prepress systems at the printing plant. InDesign automatically creates low-weight previews of all the placed art and streamlines working on multiple pages. In addition, InDesign's Master pages, page numbering, indexing features can't be replicated in Illustrator.

Shocking bug in illustrator that returns again and agian! I don't know how something as ESSENTIAL and BASIC as snapping to a guide has slipped out of control again! Since 2016 this error has cropped up again and again. If you can't get a function right, that is so integral to the operation of the product, you should just give up! I mean really! The very nature of the program is to create PRECISE illustrations and y'all cant get this one thing right. Color me appallled but not surprised.

AI Version 24.2 no longer pastes to the center of the artboard. I have tried various fixes such as "turn off Align to Pixel Grid", and Turn on "Align to Artboard" but nothing works!
I am getting pretty annoyed that Adobe is changing these settings to something new every time the app is updated. It's OK by me to add new features, but you are taking professionals out of theier work to spen countless hours looking all over the web to find "Fixes" for stuff that should not be messed with in the first place!

I set up a document with an Artboard at 75mm x 340mm. When I draw a rectangle (snapping to the artboard) it comes out to 70.194mm x 340.194mm. Why is Illustrator unable to do the most important basic thing - being accurate. My work depends on accuracy and once upon a time Illustrator delivered. How can I turn this over to vendors knowing I can't guarantee the most basic thing - size? Look at the screen shots: The Artboard is a different size! Which is correct the drawing or the artboard - who knows! Centainly not Adobe Artboard at 75mm x 340mm Rectangle at 75mm x 340mm Rectangle at size of artboard - 75.194 x 340.194mm!

Hi All, I have a document with lots of PMS spot colors that are very similar in color but not the same PMS #. When I hover over a swatch, it shows either CMYK or LAB values as the name of the swatch, not the PMS name. I have too many swatches to use the "List" mode, and I just want the old functionality back! Image attachment 1: how it's done in Illustrator 2019. Image attachment 2: How it looks in InDesign 2019.

The way that Adobe is messing around, "fixing" things that are not broken fills me with frustration. They make me want to find another profession! I am now giving them zero stars on that rating that pops up. I would not now recommend Adobe products to anyone starting out, just go with Pixelmator and such, save the aggravation.

The Pen tool does not work like it used to... Draw some lines, go back to delete a node with the pen tool - Make a new path!!! No, I wanted to delete that node! Why can't the pen just delete a node by clicking on it, like it has for 30 years? Has Adobe changed a behavior that has been the same for 30 years? Why Adobe WHY? Why do you have to F$ck with something SO BASIC that didn't need change? So, Illustrator 2019 is so buggy, I can barely use it. I guess the blame is on me for ever trusting Adobe to do the right thing and maybe test the software before pushing it out on us working stiffs.

It took me a while but it is possible! Instead of listing all the catalogs, just add one catalog by id# and mark it as "selected". <form name="catproductsform68534" method="post" action="/Default.aspx?A=ProductSearch&ID=/fme/results.html"> <select style="display: none;" class="cat_dropdown_small" id="CAT_ProductCatalogue" name="CAT_ProductCatalogue"> <option value="209900" selected>Fisherman Store</option> </select> <ul class="menu"> <li><input type="search" placeholder="Search" id="CAT_ProductSearch" name="CAT_ProductSearch" ></li> <li><button type="submit button" class="button">Search</button></li> </ul> </form> Notice that instead of the catalog selector with the {module_catalogueselect} I instead added one catalog id# and marked it as "selected" and have hidden it with style="display:none;"

This still is not working! The link to the "Instructions" is woefully incomplete. In the screenshot of the git prefs, the "Path to terminal" Field looks to be populated with the DreamWeaver app. Why? What am I supposed to put there? There is NO explanation of this in the instructions here: https://helpx.adobe.com/dreamweaver/using/git-support.html Halp!
