I have an old project file that I just openned up in Premiere Pro 2022 and the project files have .MOV files. The propertoes of the footage are here, note the color space as I think that's the issue.   Type: MPEG Movie File Size: 211.94 MB Image Size: 1920 x 1080 Frame Rate: 29.98 Source Audio Format: 44100 Hz - Compressed - Stereo Project Audio Format: 44100 Hz - 32 bit floating point - Stereo Total Duration: 00:03:21:25 Pixel Aspect Ratio: 1.0 Alpha: None Color Space: Rec. 2100 HLG Color Space Override: Off Input LUT: None Video Codec Type: HEVC 10 bit 4:2:0 Variable Frame Rate Detected   The sequence has a color space of Rec. 709. The footage inside the sequence timeline looks very overexposed, but in the Source Monitor it looks normal. I tried openning the same .MOV file within a new project file and I get the same issues.   The only thing that has helped is adding the SD Conform effect on the footage to make it look closer to normal. This did not happen in Premiere Pro 2021, so I am not sure what's changed now in 2022 that's causing this problem to arise. Feels like I have to color correct every .MOV file I now import... It ran smoothly until today, where whenever I add a new layer and draw something, it freezes and will take 10-15 seconds to unfreeze. It gets worse when I try moving layers. This is not an issue with the device, since when I try to draw and move layers on my desktop computer, I get the same issues.   I also took a look at Task Manager to identify what the slowdown might be, and I'm guessing it has something to do with the fact that it's a cloud-stored file, and it's not communicating with the Adobe servers fast enough. When the app hangs, I see my Ethernet charts spike in Task Manager. CPU, GPU, Disk and Memory are all fine. Is there no way to store the files locally to avoid having these terrible freezes and crashes? I've read online several others have had similar problems and some support members will simply say the device is not compatible.   Again, there are no issues with my hardware. I can run Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, and all the other apps just fine, and am able to edit 4K footage without any issues. So I know for a fact that it's not a hardware limitation. This is my current machine. I've been reading through this article on storage optimization. I currently have an HDD and NVME. I am looking to buy an additional SSD. I currently have my OS and Creative Cloud apps on the NVME, and then I have my project files, cache, source media, scratch, exports and archive on the HDD. Should I move my project files to the NVME with the OS, and have the apps, cache, scratch, and source media loaded to the new SSD, and then exports and archive on the HDD? Or do I set this up another way for better results. My motherboard doesn't have a second NVME slot, so I'm stuck with one NVME slot for now (and I prefer getting a cheaper SSD anyway). Thanks! ... From what I have seen in the videos, it looks like Dimension is just used for adding textures and propping them up in environments. It doesn't seem like Dimension supports creating models yet... And it looks like Adobe Fuse isn't really for creating models either unless you're creating people/characters, in which they could then be animated in Character Animator. Am I right in saying that there is no Adobe app yet that can do modeling? I am pretty familiar with video editing, motion graphics, design, and layout and wanted to try and get some experience in modeling now, but it doesn't seem like Adobe has anything for that yet... Are most people still using Maya / Cinema 4D / Blender? ... View more

Occasionally I will get a blue screen on my PC, with the error THREAD STUCK IN DEVICE DRIVER. This error only occurs occasionally when I start up Premiere Pro, sometimes when I import new footage, and sometimes when I render footage by queuing it up in Media Encoder. I decided to update my Windows last night, along with updating all the Adobe apps, and all my device drivers. Now today, yet again, I get the same error even after all the updates. Hello there, I am experiencing this bug where whenever I import some files, it could be any file, any project, just happens randomly, my timeline freezes up. The only way it unfreezes is if I click an item on the menu bar at the top of the screen, or if I click a different module, such as effects or info, while not having my footage bin open. Specifically, I can't have the footage bin open which contains the file that is causing the issue. Here is a video demonstrating the problem, a brand new project, I imported 2 video files, everything works. Then I import an MP3, and the problem occurs. Whenever I open any After Effects project, I get a grey blank screen in my composition preview window. All I see are the two options to create a new comp, or new composition from footage. Occasionally, if I reset my preferences to default by launching After Effects and holding down CTRL + ALT + SHIFT, it will resolve the problem, however, it may take a couple tries. Resetting the workspace does not work, creating a new workspace does not work, and creating new comps makes no difference. Zooming in to fit the screen to 100% does not work either. So for now, I am just forced to constantly try and restart my AE in different ways through a project file, through administrator, or through resetting preferences and hopefully one of them will work to display my composition. While this is a work around it takes time and shouldn't be happening to begin with. Any idea what the solution is here? Seems like the 2018 releases of Adobe are pretty glitchy. Premiere Pro is also giving off a weird glitch where if you import certain files within certain bins, your timelines freezes up, and won't respond, but Windows will, and you have to click on a menu item on top of the program to make it work.
