Not sure if this is to be classified as a bug - but it is weird behaviour driving me nuts. When After Effects auto saves, it also jumps to the foreground. So if I am doing something in another app, AE will hide that app and jump to the front if it's time to auto save. Sometimes I am "lucky" and it will just bounce the Dock icon. (Which also interupts my very important web surfing etc) AE 25.1 on Mac OS 15.3 (but it's been like this forever)

When setting the Color Theme to "Dark", the rulers (View > Show Rulers) do not follow the color of the UI. Also, the first part of the X-ruler is cut off. (Colors in Darkest and Light are correct, but the cut also happens here.) Consistent bug. AE 25.0.1 Mac OS 15.0.1

OK, so try this: Create an Advenced 3D comp and set an Essential Property (in my case, a color) Nest this comp in a new A3D comp multiples times. Collapse transformations on all these layers. Change the color-EP for all these layers. So far, everything works. Now, turn on the 3d switch for all these layers. Boom - all EP's are cancelled and set to the same value. I have tested and confirmed that it works as expected in Classic 3D. So the bug is in Advanced 3D. See screenshots After Effects 24.1 MacOS 14.3

This happens to me several times a day: When pressing space bar to play preview, the menu item "Use Display Color Management" switches to on. I then have to manually switch it back off. Later it will turn on again. The same goes for "Show Layers Controls" which turns off randomly. (But not on) Seems like something's going on in the View-menu..... I have not been near any keyboard shortcuts. (Besides, it would be strange if I was able to hit a pretty obscure shortcut several times everyday by accident.) After Effects 24.1 MacOS 14.2.1 (But this behaviour has been ongoing for years on all my Macs)

Issue - Properties Panel does not show Essential Properties Pretty straight forward. When I selected a layer which is a comp containing Essential Properties, they do not show up in the new Properties Panel. (It only shows "Layer Transform")

In After Effects 2023 pressing an arrow-key in the Save As dialog will simply close the dialog. This makes it impossible to alter files names that are longer than what the textbox allows viewing. This happens in AE23 on Mac OS on all my machines.

So, this seems to be very specificly tied to the Plexus plugin in use. Even though the plugin has been updated to support MFR, it seems to be causing the mentioned problems. Move along 🙂

Opening an AE 2021 project in AE 2022. Many 3D layers, motion blur and textures. The project is - everything considered - pretty snappy and responsive in 2021. For the first few seconds after opening the comp, everything works ok. Scrubbing the timeline etc. But when pressing Space for preview, the comp becomes unresponsive, sometimes playing the first few frames (even though all of the comp in green-lit), time indicator hangs and finally the comp viewer goes blank. If I give it some time AE will eventually hang and crash. This behaviour is the exact same on my iMac (10 cores, 128 gb ram) and my Macbook Pro (8 cores, 64 gb ram)

This is amazing. Great improvements to render times already. However, if you are rebooting the Render Queue for 2021 you NEED to abandon Animation as the default rendering-codec. No modern OS supports is. So it puzzles me why it lingers in AE... Thanks, Jesper

I have huge problems getting AA CC 2019 to pick up sound on my 2016 Macbook Pro. I have tried both my Røde NT USB mic and my SoundBlaster E5 USB sound card. And both work fine with everything else on my Mac. Garageband, Ableton Live - everything just works. Except for Adobe Audtion... All inputs are set up as required in Audition and System Preferences. Both devices devices show up as they should. But when I press record Audition picks up total silence. As in NO SOUND AT ALL. The waveform is completely empty. It did use to work up until Mac OS Mojave came around. So I thought maybe that was the problem and CC 2019 would fix it. But no luck. Still total silence. Any ideas? Thanks Jesper

I seem to have found the problem. My texts are paragraph-texts! Paragraphs and sourcerectattime worked just fine previously, but in 15.1 only the bounding box of the paragraph is registered. So, converting to point-text fixes this. But still, please fix for consistency. Thanks, Jesper

Hi I have a big-ish project with more than twenty text-comps using sourceRectAtTime to have a background-box follow the size of the texts. When opening the project in AE 15.1 all the boxes are waaayy wider than before. I can't determine exactly how much too wide they are. So, I guess I could wing it and get the project delivered now by subtracting some abitrary number from my Width - but that would mess up the project once the bug is fixed. Any ideas, Adobe?
