Show Essential Properties in the Properties panel

  • Issue - Properties Panel does not show Essential Properties
    Pretty straight forward. When I selected a layer which is a comp containing Essential Properties, they do not show up in the new Properties Panel. (It only shows "Layer Transform")
  • Adobe After Effects version number 23.4.0
  • Operating system MacOS 13.4

Mentioning it a bit late, but Essential Properties were added to the Properties panel back in After Effects 23.6. Details are here: https://helpx.adobe.com/after-effects/using/whats-new/2023-6.html

Hi @jesperfrydenlund,

Thanks for reporting this. This functionality (showing Essential Properties in the Properties panel) is currently available in the After Effects (Beta) app that can be installed from the Beta app section of the Creative Cloud app. Please install the Beta and let us know how it is working for you!

Essential Properties in the Properties Panel is currently only in AE Beta builds while we finish the development and bug fixing.
