After Effects

Hey all! Absolute beginner here!  I wanted to know how I could change the settings on After Effects of the path between my key-frames. It keeps on giving me straight paths when I want it curved. I already changed my settings and turned off the "Default Spacial Interpolation to Linear", but still, it goes to Linear by default. Any idea what I am dong wrong or what I can change? At the moment I am manually changing the path by right-clicking on each key frame and changing the interpolation by selecting "auto bezier".  Thank you!

After Effects keeps crashing whenever I try to edit one of the assets on the template file. Last log message was: <18776636> <FontServer> <5> 4 Changed ctSync_msec:195 ctSeed:1 dicts:1354 total_msec:210 I don't have any cache files or plugins to delete.

the UI text is weirdly glitching to the point where it becomes unreadable, this is happening on all of my adobe products. not sure how to replicate, it just came like this version 22.0windows 11 version 24H2 

Hi im not able to drag layers in the composition/project panel. first it was working fine but suddenly it wasnt working. im already trying to fix this for 1 hour pls help 😕😕

I have resorted into posting here since i cannot contact customer support for help, as it keeps telling me to contact my administartor and IT for help. I shouldn’t be locked out of customer support because of this; they were unhelpful and did not solve my issue that I need to be resolved urgentlyMy problem is my preview won’t show up on after effects at all. I did projects on after effects before so why is it acting like this now????I’ve tried multiple things, i resetted my cache, uninstalled and reinstalled, resetted preferences, and i even updated my drives and also updated to the latest version of after effects. Yet somehow it suddenly starts working at uni after i reinstalled it there, but the second I got home it stopped working, what a weird situation!I am all out of options and I NEED this to work right now

Hi all, I'm trying to bring an illustrator shape file into After Effects and convert it to 3D so I can give it an extrusion depth.  I've imported the file, added it to a comp with a camera and light, and gone to 'Layer > Create > Create Shapes from Vector Layer'. I am using Cinema 4D as a renderer. As soon as I make the object 3D it disappears from the screen and I get the below error code, 88 :: 3. I have looked at a few questions here but nothing resolves it. Does anyone know how to fix this? Ideally I want to give the shape some depth and have it move and rotate in 3D.       

Hi there,Hoping someone can help me with this. I deal with a lot of these types of flowcharts and am often looping the dash on the arrow lines for illustrative effect. I can do it manually obviously but its tedious to do for many layers. What would people suggest would be the fastest approach for this. I'm importing these lines from illustrator so can have the dash and gap set to the same for each layer though I can only seem to set the first dash and gap for it to transfer via overlord into AE which means the offset has to be manually added for each layer in AE as far as I can see. I've tried copying and pasting to layers, that's fine for the loop out expression but not the keyframes for the offset. Ideally I'd like a trim paths but cannot copy and paste the trim paths from one shape layer to the next. I could live with a fade in instead of this however so that's not essential. I've tried using an animation preset but didn't manage to get that to work.  If anyone had a

Hey everyone, I’m currently working on a project for a client from this website: https://baddiesonlytv.org/. They’ve asked me to create some animated lower thirds and transitions in After Effects, but I’m running into issues with the render quality. The animations look crisp within AE, but once I export them, there’s a noticeable drop in quality, especially around edges and text. I’ve tried different export settings, but nothing seems to hold the same quality as the preview. Any tips on optimizing export settings or workflow to maintain sharpness? Thanks!    

Good morning, I use Boris' Sapphire plug-in and for some time, it has been jumping. Here is the error message: "GPU render failed for s_GlowAura. Falling back CPU. " I changed the parameters of the project to Mercury alone or not. But nothing hells. Now he doesn't want to read my composition anymore by giving me a scrambled overview.Help!

After save the project while i'm export essential graphic this message show up:after effects warning: we support exporting Motion graphics templates from after effects projects files but do not currently support after effects templates or xml file. What ca i do?

I'm trying to increase a number from 0 to 49.3 with slider control, but I need it to keep the decimal 0 on integers, and to add a leading 0 from 0 to 9. I've tried many expressions, and noticed that the leading number works if its anything but 0, for example, if I try to add "20" to the string on the condition < 10, it will add the 20, but it won't add the "0". As for the integers decimal, I really couldn't make it work, even using expressions marked as 'solutions' on the forum. I wonder if the newer versions of AE changed something. Anyone can help?Thanks! 

I am trying to export a camera tracker and solid from After Effects (24.6.3) to Cinema 4d (2024.4.0). When I open the exported project in Cinema 4d, all my layers are there. However, when I hit play nothing happens (I have the correct camera selected). When I open the Timeline (F-Curves) there are no keyframes there. Has anyone else expireced or have found a work around?

I don't know why this happens. I'm using Ae 25 and Creative Cloud says "it can run well on this computer" and there are no problems with my system requirements. Why do I get a 2 second pause when I start the video? I have 32GB ram and this is weird. It's ridiculous to still see these problems even though I gave 28GB to Ae. What should I do please give advice.

I have been using After Effects in my laptop for a year now, and nothing ever went wrong.The suddently, I tried to open one of my proyects and the composition panel went all black.  I can't see anything, both when i'm working or when I press the previsualization button.I have reverted the working space back to standard, I have looked at youtube tutorials and searched on the internet and I can't find an answer.I have deinstalled the program and reverted all preferences to default, reinstalled it and the panel remains the same, and when I check for compatibility issues there is none.But there is simply no visor, just the panel.

I set the work area lengh to 4sec, and comp lengh to 5sec for the mogrt.I hope when people drag the file to their PR sequence, the default will be 4sec, but if the strench it out, it is up to 5sec as the maximum lengh. is this the right setting and the right strategy? when i testing it in my PR file, it sill shows 5sec as default, so the work area won't affect the default lengh of the mogrt? should i try other way or add expression to set it up? 

I have build a website and where it takes input from users. Then extension in after effects fetches data from databse and chages the templates like text,image,audio and renders them. Now i am doing it locally in one single computer. when 100 or 1,000s of orders comes, how to deliver them in less time. What is the solution for that. How to scale after effects. How to do it?

Hello,When rendering with multiframe rendering enabled, After Effects often crashes our network cards (10G SFP+).All of our machines are connected via 10gbps fibre to a switch and a file server (Windows Server 2022) on which our project files are stored.When trying to render with multiframe, after a few seconds to a minute of render, windows shows no network access and the network drives are no longer connected. Restarting the adapter is the only way to get access back.This issue only happens on After Effects, only with multiframe rendering enabled. Latest crash was a 9k comp rendered in half resolution in ProRes 422.And as a bonus, sometimes the network crash caused by After Effects makes other clients loose their network as well.

I created a world using CC Sphere, pinned it on the map, and used tracking points in the world because the globe I made rotates at various angles. .so When I create a null or object to sit in the center of the globe and track it like a pin to the map, it doesn't stay at the point when it rotates. and I also tried it with the lines, but the results were strange .Does anyone have any recommended methods? thank you

Hi,I am precticing motion graphics in Ae, but there are no forums wheere I can post my stuff to get some feedback. So I'm stuck at a levele, where I cant go further. Is there any other active forum where are people who could make some comments on my posted short text/logo animations?Here are one, I'M currently working on:Its too basic, but I have no idea what to do to give some extra life. Or how the end the animation, probably I need to make the text disappear, but in a cool short way...Hope there is someone here who can help with some advice, regarding mostly on the first part of my post.Cheers

I'm trying to work on putting together more efficent blocks by using functions appropriately. I've got 3 check box choices on a form that fill variables "choice Previs, choice Postvis, choice Finals"I know that I can do three if blocks to execute commands based on this, but can I use input names on a function to use the variables?I'm figuring I have this fundimentally incorrect, but I "know" there is something in here that can do what I'm looking to do. As always, your input is appreciated!  

I want to prepare a paid "course". In one part of my course, I will take a 'screen recording' video of "after effect" and publish it in my course. There is no copyrighted material, logo, stock, etc., only the "after effect" interface is shown in the video. Is this legal? Does Adobe allow this? Is there any copyright infringement?
