After Effects (Beta)

I rendered an image sequence and in 2 out of 312 images, a guide layer got rendered into the final output.My guess: AE uses the cache on render time..? 😬 ---System info    Application: After Effects (Beta) v18.1.0.15    OS: Windows v10.0.19042, RAM: 63.95 GB, CPUs (logical): 24

Keyboard Shortcut: enable expressions not working

So many crashes in this update I can barely work.

I rendered a premultiplied clip with red background.After an import to After Effects and interpretation as background color red there is no effect to show it correctly.Since CC 2019 the interpretation of the background color has no effect.

Hello everybody!  I have noticed, that in After Effects 17.2 and later, the program is very often crashing when writing an expression in the "Source Text" property. Usually, while working on it, it works fine, and nothing happens. The crashing starts when I want to re-open the project after closing it (Zanzibar-2 Error). I have tested it on many projects, 2 machines, and with all the versions of AE 17.2+. The crashing always happens. I need to open the project with AE 17.1 and untick all Source text expressions to be able to open it again in later versions. I have tested it on macOS Catalina and macOS Big Sur. I believe the problem is very critical because I am practically unable to write expressions for the Source Text. Does anybody know how to solve this issue?

The newest BETA build 18.0.0.21 does not launch on my system. It is just hanging and also creates a crash report. v18.0.0.29 | Windows 10:The effect shows up, starts, and the process stripes and AE freeze right away.10 minutes later, the error pops:After Effects (Beta) error: Could not launch Adobe Analysis Server. (515) ( 25 :: 101 ) In v17.7.0.45 the process stripes do stop moving as well, but the tracker does finish 2 minutes later.

Trashcan Mac running 11.2.1.I've having really spotty luck with dropdown option not wanting to open when using a non-default workspace.    ie Text option, puppet pin options, etc in the toolbar but also in some scripts, Ease and Wizz, PT Auto Express, etc.  Sometimes it's works without a problem, I open the app again and it doesn't.  They seem to work correctly using a default space.

Hello! New warp stabilizer freeezes, when analyzing, % and time are not changing, and if I press cancel  After Effects becomes "not responding".  My specs are: 3x 1080Ti, Windows 10 20H2, Threadripper 3960X, 128Gb Ram, 1Tb NVME SSD, 14Tb HDD. Input file is from DJI Mavic 2, h265 mp4.https://drive.google.com/file/d/1UtBoIXGWlfHlPxU6qT9dZd09CjoYD7W4/view?usp=sharing

When switching a layer to 3D and activating Draft 3D with the ground plane visible the ground plane does not show if I just dolly away from my object.Switching to a custom view shows the ground plane but orbiting around make the ground plane vanish at certain angles of the orbit tool (see screen capture and screenshots). Is this behavior intended? I also got a warning message once while working with the camera tools (see screenshot) which resulted in my layer being deleted by AE.Unfortunately I cannot attach the files as several menu commands and short cuts do not work (Save as…, Import file…) please see separate screen capture. 

When switching between the render modes AE reproted an error when I did it the first time. Relaunching AE and going through the same procedure did not cause an error message. But it takes some time (please see attached screen capture). I submitted the error through the AE reporter).   

The default language of the app. In the creative cloud settings, "English" is set for all applications. Russian Russian is installed when installing the beta version of After Effects, the application is launched in Russian with the Russian system interface installed. Extremely inconvenient. I haven't found a way to fix it yet

Hi, I have a Macbook pro 2020 with the Apple M1 chip and 8gb of RAM and running the latest macOS Big sur 11.2. After Effects (Beta) doesnt want to open and gives me the following error: After Effects (Beta) can’t continue: Licensing Error: Your subscription entitles you to Chinese Simplified product versions. Please verify the language settings in your OS, browser, and software download are set to Chinese Simplified. If you continue to have installation issues, please contact support. {www.adobe.com/go/support} Adobe Support is not very helpful and dont want to help me. I also don't understand why it shows that my license is only for Chinese versions, because i'm from The Netherlands and all my other Adobe apps work, also the non Beta version of Adobe After Effects. By the way: Adobe After Effects Beta DOES work when I set my macOS system language to english, but i would like to keep using my Macbook with dutch language. Anyone that knows a solution for this problem

Hi there, I'm Markus the developer of GEOlayers. I was wondering if there is a timeline for UXP integration in After Effects. I checked out the forums and had a brief chat what would be needed to make porting GEOlayers possible. Due to the team telling me there will be no webview or anything similar in UXP it will be impossible to port my Extension. Mostly because of missing webgl and webworkers. So it would be great to know a timeframe when CEP will be kicked out of AE and what options I have to keep GEOlayers alive... Best regards,Markus

Hi, Every time I run fast draft in after effects it immediately crashes. I've been updaing daily to see if this feature will work soon but it has been pretty buggy from the start and has now started just crashing on enable.  Steps to reproduce: 1. New Comp 1920x1080 24p, 8 bit, Cuda enabled. 2. Load small illustrator file3. Place illustrator file in comp and enable 3D switch4. Set render to fast draft5. Crash to desktop.  Specs: Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080ti  11GBAMD Ryzezn Threadripper 3960x128GB DDR4 RamMultiple SSDs etc. Windows 10 20H2 19042.746 Nvidia January Studio Driver (461.40) w/ Clean Install.  Unrelated: How do we know when AE will start using Direct X? 

No chance to move it on Screen. Stick behind Finder Menue. But the resize Handles LEFT and DOWN are working.

It is not possible to make any Settings in Renderlist. Clicking on the Menues have no Effect.

Clicking on macOS File Open Dialog has no Effect!

Starting with After Effects (Beta) version 18.0, the user interface, especially on Windows, can be placed on or moved between monitors set to different display scales/resolutions (in the Display settings in Windows 10 or the Displays control panel in macOS), and look correct and sharper without having to relaunch the app.   In addition to this change, the following related bugs have been addressed: Eyedropper was not picking the correct color when sampling from a different monitor. The borders of windows and dialog boxes were not drawing on all sides when the display scale changed. The contents of the About screen were not appearing in the correct place when the app window was on an external monitor set to a display scale different than the primary monitor.   REQUESTS FOR TESTING: If you use a multi-monitor setup, especially when they're set to different display scales or resolutions, try moving windows and dialog boxes between monitors to make sure they appear properly (i.

In Beta version 17.7.0 when all frames are cached the preview plays extreamly slow.
