Animate

Hello everyone.I just installed Animate and when I insert a frame label, the text is not readable.It's the first time it has ever happened. Does anyone have a solution for this?Thank you

I have a combobox which is dynamically populated via JQuery AJAX with JSON. How do I clear the values of that combobox to refesh it for new values?  

Hey, so one of the bugs (if it is a bug and i'm not doing something wrong) is that half the time i try to flip and objects(s) they jump half way across the screen. Some of this I can attribute to having some mark or dot I didn't notice that was way off center, but I also notice that some cleaned up symbols are doing the same thing and only on the first flip. Here is a video, can anyone explain this to me? (on a related topic i noticed that when i locked my characters arm layers as to only flip the torso, one of the arms stuck on and refused to let go of the torso. I have both arms parented to the torso and both arms locked so why does only 1 stick? Here's the vid.  

When I try to do simple tasks in Animate (draw a text box, draw a shape, etc...) nothing shows up on the screen.  The only time I can see things I've added to a layer is if I go to exit the page without saving and they briefly flash on the blank workspace before the whole page closes.  What am I doing wrong?  Is there a view / setting I need to adjust??

Hi there, I'm trying to publish a panorama VR project. Unfortunately, even after following a tutorial, the outcome is still blank white. I found another forum post here that suggested checking for errors in the browser, and it seems there are three however, I have no idea what they mean or how to fix them. Any help would be greatly appreciated.   

How would I load a SVG dynamically onto the stage?  E.g. into a movieclip?   Then remove it when not required? The path to the SVG is contained as a column in a MySQL database, which is not a problem in itself, and the SVGs are contained in a folder in the published directory.

How to flip the face like this? Is it by using different faces or the same face using a method i just want to know.

Hi,In the quick publish option it says 3gp instead of MP4 and exports this tiny 3gp file. If I choose file>export video even though it says MPEG4 it still gives me a 3gp file. How can I get an MPG4 file?  Thanks! 

Hello, The 'Split Audio' function seems to have started deleting 5/6 frames before where I intended to split the audio.  If I right-click and split the audio on the highlighted frame, this happens:This only seems to have started happening in the last day or so, and I can't think of any changes I've made that would have caused it. Any help is much appreciated!   

I have been reading about Adobe's plan to "kill Flash" in 2020, but am slightly confused as to what it means. Every article I've read seems to only talk about the web Flash Player. Is this the only thing which is being discontinued? Or does Adobe plan to completely discontinue the .swf file format?My work requires me to create projects and publish them in .swf, they're then included in presentations using 3rd party software and used for educational purposes. I believe the end result is contained in a .exe file so that the presenters don't require any version of Flash Player. But the presentations are never deployed on the web.Does anyone know the specifics of what will and won't be supported after 2020? Ie, is it just the web player? Or will the desktop version of the player be discontinued as well? Or even worse, will Animate no longer allow publication in the .swf file format?

I have applied a drop shadow filter to a movieclip with a white fill. The problem is that the shadow shows through the white background.  Not only that, but dynamic text in the movieclip also inherits that drop shadow. 

I have a layer above some comboboxes.  However, the comboboxes always appear ontop of other layers at run time.   Is there a way to restrict the rendering of the comboboxes at their assigned layer?

In Adobe Animate I'm trying to create a hover effect where a symbol will display text near the symbol, when there is a hover over the symbol. Does anybody know what the Action Script should be?

Dynamic text is rendering in a different font to the static text fields, and the quality of rendering of the dynamic text is poor.  Both static and dynamic text fields are using the same font and size.  All the text fields are using Franklin Gothic Medium Condensed 12 pt.   How do I fix this?  Also, is there an option for scrollable multiline text?

I have looked but I can't find any reference to creating radio button groups.  Is it possible?  By a group I'm referring to enabling only one button to be selected in a group of buttons, as in HTML radio groups.

Please help a student out! Finished my midterm for my adobe animate class and I want to export and post it but no matter what combination of export settings I try, the quality looks horrible. Stage size is 640x480 but I'm scared to change it and mess up my entire animation since it is over a minute long, includes sounds and ai files as well. A bit too complicated to export as a gif right? I downloaded Quicktime and scoured threads on this subject but it was no use. I think what is happening is that exporting changes it to a pixel file rather than the vectors it's originally made out of and that messes up the quality but I have a hard time believing there's no way around this. Please can someone help me, I feel like I've tried everything and I just want to show people my animation, I don't know why it's so hard!

Upon opening Animate files, the symbols move and warp out of position (while still connected to their parents). I open up previous save files, which were previously fine, and theyd be messed up too. I can move the symbols back into place, but often times its a waste because they may move again after saving, closing the application, and reopening.  My current job rigs characters through parenting. I've been working at this position for 3 years now, and have only been facing this issue since January 2022. I work with files directly on my internal hard drive, and only relocate or duplicate files onto external and cloud for backing up. I've tried reinstalling the program, and I've tried factory resetting my computer. Can't post any files or images containing the characters because nondisclosure agreements, sorry. Any suggestions to help fix this?
