Animate

So it says An error occurred when opening this fileWhat should i do? How can i find any recovers? I had the recover every 10 minutes option ON but i cannot find any recovery files anywherePlease help i have been working on this project in two months!

Hi!Adobe Animate, to me, is a bit different than any other animation program and I'm having some difficulties using it.1. When I import a drawing that will serve as a scene, I copy/paste it to the keyframes, but it is not placed evenly? In one keyframe, it stands properly, in another it's pushed up a bit etc.2. As I was drawing a character walking, suddenly the current frame did not become the ''past frame''. It remained there no matter how many new keyframes I made, as if I copied and pasted it to them. The entire timeline started acting strange, I couldn't proceed. 

Hey! I am developing creatives on CreatJS with Adobe Animate. I would like to know if there will be further advances of Animate in this direction. Improve code and animation control like in Spain2D? Will there be updates for convenient work in HTML5? If yes, then I think many Pixi or Phizer developers will switch to Animate. If not, then I think to throw this business in favor of other engines. Thanks!

Hi,Ignoring the character on left, my character rig keeps doing this weird twirling thing with their foot. I'm very new to animate and don't understand why this keeps happening with all my characters rigs (this problem has happened before). Sometimes the arms will go twirl all crazy. I've also seen size of certain body parts get super big and small. This is all happening in the inebetween tweens. I'm trying to animate through classic tweens. This character rig is all made up of symbols and I did the proper parenting, so it's difficult for me to troubleshoot this problem.

I'm running Adobe Animate and have two layers that make heavy use of the brush tool.  When these layers are enabled, Animate is barely useable.  I can't even scroll the stage.  I've played with some of the preferences, such as use outline mode when scrolling, but it's still too slow to be usable.  I'm running on 16 GB of RAM with an I5-7500 CPU.  I can definitely see it spike a core when i scroll the stage with my brush layers visible. My question is this - am i breaking some animate rule of thumb that says you should limit brush usage?

I have a fla project file that suddently corrupted on me. It still reads as 43 KB. The autorecovery prompt never appeared on my screen. Is there anything that can be done? Quite horrible that a "professional" software generates such so easily. I suppose any "professional" label would refer, rather, to a specific type of user. This would be someone who is wise to the fact that the given software could, at any moment, fail. Hello- I am sure that there is a simple answer to this but no tutorial I have watched seems to cover it. I have an animation on my main timeline. I would like to select a few of the frames and turn it into a symbol so I can add a few details and have it loop when placed back into the main time line. If I select the frames and use F8 to convert to a symbol it only takes the first frame of the selected frames. If I then try to copy and paste the rest of the frames they either past but do not animate or the are bot pasted in the correct position. I am sure I am doing something wrong. 

Using Adobe Animate, how do you undo? Is there an undo button or command? 

Is there a way to turn it off in Animate 22? I've seen solutions on older versions but I can't find it in 22. Thank you for any help on this.

If I have a sequence of frames animated in the main scene, and I want to make them into an animated graphic symbol, what's the easiest way? The only way I know how at this point is to select a frame, make it a symbol, copy all the following frames, go into the symbol, then paste the frames. Sometimes when I do this the frames are not aligned properly; and I still have to go back to the scene, delete the original frames, and insert frames to the symbol so that it will animate through the whole sequence. Is this really the only way to accomplish this? It seems like there should be an easier way.

15.ai .wav files are opening as a flat line and not playing audio in Animate. Other WAV files work. For some reason it seems specific to the files downloaded from this site, which open fine in other programs... Super niche problem please help?? 

I've never had this happen before and don't know how to fix it. I had my layers all neatly organized in folders. Been working on this project for a couple of weeks with no issues. Suddenly tonight, it took OUT my folders and instead, added a new layer at the top called __layerObjectOrdering - that has a script in the first frame. Additionally, most of the layers I had were duplicated - one called "name_prop_ " followed by its mate, "name_obj_" I get compile errors now and although it DOES still play, there are a few errors here and there that weren't there before. Inconsistent stuff. Hello Fairly new to javaScript/Animate so the code might be a bit sketchy but.... I think I need to clear the array somehow on the attached project, each time I move between sections. Download .fla here It is basically a load of circles that use vectors to move around the screen in a 'random' fashion. These objects are connected by lines which are drawn in a shape object. It all works fine except when I go to another location and then return to the main screen, the number of lines doubles and they appear to be tracking ghost objects. Every time you leave and return another set of lines appears... I am guessing this is because I keep creating(?)/adding to(?) the existing array of objects but can't find a way to clear or block this happening. Creating the array and graphic for the lines in the 'global/script' section seemed to stop additional lines being created but then the speed of movement doubled each time you return to the home screen. Another issu

When I try to transform a symbol using TRANSFORM > Flip Horizontal the text disappears.  This didn't happen yesterday.  Text also disappears if I free transform a symbol.  What's up ... any suggestions?  Symbol is an object in Movie Clip mode. No filters have been added.

I really like to draw in animate cc, I consider it one of the best software for that, however, with each update its performance has gotten worse, slow, crashing and a lot of lag traced. Hello, I have followed all the videos and tutorials on importing image sequences into Animate but nothing seems to work. I have a series of PNG files all named in sequential order. When I choose "Import to stage" and select the files, they all appear on the one frame on top of each other, not on individual frames as I have seen on other video examples. Also when I select the files I am not given any sort of dialog box to adjust the import settings. What am I doing wrong?  

Hello, Animate has stopped playing any sound files. I have reviewed all the posts related to this issue here and in other videos available online and after trying everything suggested I still cant make it work: (sound file placed in 2nd keyframe of timeline, file in wav format; properties/ frame/Sync/Stream .)I have even converted all the m4a files   again in Media Encoder to WAV. It is strange because sound was playing on the project earlier and some hours later doesnt anymore. I have opened previous projects and sound is not playing either when they were playing before. I have the impression something has been modified in the settings and I cant figure out... really no idea... sound in my laptop works... Any suggestions ? Thank you very much for your help, Elena 

Ich möchte eine Taste (HTML5) einbauen, die, wenn man auf sie klickt eine Audio Datei abspielt. Die soll allerdings nicht in Animate importiert liegen, sondern auf dem Server oder von Soundcloud kommen. Ich habe es schon mit einem Webseiten Link versucht, aber so recht funktioniert es noch nicht. Ich möchte nur, dass der Sound hörbar wird, allerdings nicht angezeigt wird.Habt ihr eine Idee?

Hi, I've written javascript to cause a number to count up or down when the plus button or minus button is pressed. The problem I'm having is that after I press the plus button and, the numbers start incrementing, if I then press the down button the number increments one more before it starts decrementing.  So if I count up to five, then press the minus button, the number goes to six before starting down again. I couldn't get the fla to attach so I've attached a couple of screen caps to show my work.   Thanks

How can a symbol be changed to a layer through JavaScript?

Are there any Animate or Flash tutorials on creating a vintage theater marquee effect where the lights flow continuosly along a path?  Or it could be any looping animation of data flow, water droplets, products on a conveyor belt, or the like.
