Animate

Howdy, I'm trying to use modern rigging to animate a drawing, but the hands keep ending up behind the body. Is there a way I can get those hands in front and keep them in the front ( It does this thing where it'll stay in front in one frame and then go right back behind in the next one)? Or should I try it the old fashioned way? Any advice would be extremely helpful. 

Hey guys, so I've had issues with bitmaps being corrupted and chainging to all red before, and thought i had solved this issue by always saving multiple files as adobe sometimes corrupts. No big deal, thats life. However I'm trying to make an object with a photo realistic immage that warps and changes shape with it and every time i save it, even in multiple locations, it always opens back up with the bitmap immage turned to all red. Can someone please tell me whats happening here.  The steps I took >create 3 layered image, 1st layer lines, 2nt layer bitmap phot image that i use asset warp on, and 3rd layer as background color. >I convert the bitmap immage to bitmap (redundant but when i load it in from teh library it becomes an object?) I then use the magic wand tool to sellect and delete the white square that forms around it after i conver the object to bitmap, then use the asset warp to to create points and warp the image to what i want, then save. 

Hello,I have been using PNG's for some time.I can easely move the transformation point. I have never seen a registration point.Since we can't open the PNG like a symbol I am assuming there is no registration point ?Is this right?

I had been using the Hands-on Bouncing Ball tutorial with my students last year (version 20.xxx, I believe) but it's no longer there in the most recent Animate version that I just installed, version 21.0.5.  I see that there is an import feature hands-on tutorials. Can I import that Bouncing Ball tutorial into my newer version?Thanks for any help, Claude  

I make  character animation using warp tool in Adobe Animate version 21.0. Everytime the file is re-opened, all the warped objects in the stage are missing. They reappeared after I copy-pasted them into a new layers. Is there any permanent solution for this problem?

Hello, I am trying to write some simple code that checks to see if an object exists on the stage. But I'm not really sure how this is supposed to work. If I check if it's on the stage i get a conversion error. If I try to do a simple if exists statement it always returns true. I just want to check if an object exists on every frame, and if it exists, pull it's coordinates. I attached a small piece of sample code. We have fixed animations where we only need to replace the products every now and then. Normally, we click the image in a graphic symbol and click edit, PS opens, we change the product and save it.Then it updates in Animate. That is not happening anymore.No matter what we do, even though the images look like they´re saving in PS they do not update in Animate. Strange thing is we can doodle something with the Brush tool in PS and it updates immediately.So something tells me the link between Ps and An is not broken, but still we can´t replace them.I tried dragging the layer, copy-pasting inside the same layer, even making sure the name of the layer in Ps is the same, to no avail. Bug?  The workaround is saving the image outside and reimporting it to the Animate library, but that´s a few extra steps we´d like to skip. Thoughts?  

I want to write a simple script that will check if a moveclip exists on the stage. If it exists, then some action should occur based on the objects position. If it doesn't exist, do nothing. I've run into issues with animate throwing errors for the object not existing, and also inconsistent results with the scanning. Here is some basic code: if (athingtoscan){trace("found");// Some action}else{trace("not found");// Do nothing} I've tried a number of different ways but can't seem to find one that works. What am i missing here?

I've just completed watching the latest 'Modern Rigging' video tutorial and am unable to replicate it in my own project. My tool properties are not displaying the 'bone type' and 'freeze joint' options seen in the video tutorial when usingn the asset warp tool. I do have Adobe Animate version 22.0.1. With older 2019 versions of animate before the 2020 versions, I was able to easily publish html5 banners for web for running in google ad words (using the older publish settings I've included as screenshots). I got a new laptop for work and no longer have access to older verions of animate, and am now using version 20.5.1.....Is there any way to still publish out the necessary java and html and image files together in new animate version to run html5 banner for web/google? Any help would be greatly appreciated as Adobe doesn't seem to allow earlier versions of animate anymore and I am at a loss for finding any similar publish settings that animate used to ahve. Thank you so much for any assistance. 

Please can someone help!!!!I used to use Animate to create Adword banners but now I can't get them to validate here https://h5validator.appspot.com/adwords/asset It says it references google fonts but I have flattened all text so it not long live text. This used to work, has something changed on the updates? I'm not a coder so please be gentle!!

All my layers are verified.Same anchor points and same registration to each object.Once I move the main  body and add an interpolation it breaks up.Any hints what is going on?

Hi All,I have been trying to do the above with no success. The camera layer which is a motion tween, is attached to all of the scene's layers however, I would like to detach one layer so it does not participate in the camera's motion tween. In Add Camera mode have tried to detach the single layer by clicking the camera icon just to the side of the hide layer icon on the layer I want detached. Unfortunately this either attaches or detaches all of the layers from the Camera Layer, like the parent icon up the top next to the trash can icon.I also tried via the layer's properties but it resulted in the same as above. Any ideas?Kind regardsIota

Hello,So i'm new to adobe animate, and working on a school project. I was trying to edit some keyframes inside the timeline when suddenly i pressed too long on the bottom of a layer, and this panel appeared on the bottom of it. I do not know what it is called. How do i get rid of it, and how did it appear in the first place?Becouse i don't know what it is called i do not know how i can find a sollution. 

Hi. Adobe Animate was my favorite drawing program as I could draw shapes then click and elimnate any overlapping lines. This greatly sped up my drawing. Now it looks like it's been converted to an illustrator style of point creation. This really sucks if true. It will force me to look elsewhere to draw my cartoons. Can anyone help? Is there a way to get it to create lines/images in the old manner? Thank you.

Please, someone help me, im tired of exporting my animation with the camera and get that ERROR.i tried everything i can, i deleted the jvm.ini file,i updated my java jre,reseted my preferencesreinstalled my animate but this crappy error continue to appear, and my animate don't show this error when i disable the camera.Please, help me( It says "Erro ao Inicializar o Java Runtime Enviroment" because im from brazil, so the language its portuguese)

I've read about several different posts in the forum involving similar issues to mine, but I still can't manage to resolve this minor but bothersome issue. I'm using a Wacom Intuos drawing tablet to draw on Adobe Animate and something has always bothered me while using it: any strokes I make using the pen become slightly offset from where I originally drew them, as soon as I lift the pen. I've had to resort to drawing several millimeters away from where I want the strokes to be in order for them to end up where I want them to be when I lift the pen. However, it's certainly not an ideal way of working and I would love to figure out a fix for this. As aforementioned, I've read in several different discussions about similar issues, but changing the drawing input to Windows Ink in Preferences and enabling Windows Ink on my Wacom settings hasn't made a difference. This issue is only present in Animate and I have no problems using my tablet on any other program. I wonder if there is som

Hi All, Wondering if this is an update issue, I have just done a recent update to try and cure this issue, but when I flip a symbol, the line thickness redcuces to .25... even though it is a symbol, when I go inside to symbol to fix this, it remains the same, if I adjust the line tickness, the flipped symbol does not change, but the original symbol I can see the lines getting thicjer and thinner.   Never had this issue before., Also had issue with the line styles Drop down locking so it could not be used. This at least is or seems to be fixed, but the outlines losing the applied formatting is still an issue.  As shown above, both the Arm and the Hand are symbols, but both change thickness when flipped Horizaontally, it does not happen on the vertical. 

It would be great to simply have the option of draging on screen to zoom in or out.At the moment the zoom tool is not very friendly.I know we can use shortcuts but I prefer to zoom to whatever size I need. 

When using the painbtbrush tool, sometimes new lined draw above previous paintbrush lines and sometimes they draw below previous lines.So like I do some sketching in one color, and then I go to do some cleanup afterwards in another color, and the new lines appear beneath the sketch lines and other times they appear above them, and I cannot for the life of me figure out what parameters decide this.  All of this is taking place on the same layer.  I am not interested in doing the work on different layers, because onion skinning and all that becomes complicated and annoying.Thanks for any help, in advance!

I accidentally turned on a strange mode. Everything in the work area began to be displayed in the form of such vectors (shown in the picture). It is very inconvenient to draw like that. Help fix. Thank you very much in advance. P.S. Sorry if you wrote something with errors
