Animate

Can someone show me the script (or method) for producing circular bands in AS3?

I've created a 5 min Animate .FLA project (30fps) paired with a soundtrack I created in Logic Pro, and I want to export for YouTube. When I export as a .SWF, it creates a nice compact SWF movie (8MB) with sound, which plays nicely on my Mac, but that file can't be uploaded to YouTube, can it? If so, that would be ideal. When I seleted "Export Video/Media," it created a 2.5GB .mov file that would not open in QuickTime. When I select "Export Movie", the only options are to export as .SWF, or as a .JPG Sequence, .GIF sequence, .PNG sequence or .SVG sequence. (I doubt those last 4 are what I want.) Is there another option or what am I doing wrong? Using Animate v21.0.3 on a Mac Mini M1, OS11.2. Thx in advance.

ok so i after awhile using it it works but Im working on something it decides to start doing this as in the image yes i have smooth enabled on pencil mode i have smoothing to 100 i even disabled pressure why does it do this weird folding thing

Good evening everybody.I seem to have a problem publishing my .fla as html5.Exporting this particular project, compared to others, is missing the /componenent files. When opening the html, it gives the error message  "Tainted canvases may not be exported".  The .fla works fine in Test mode, but not as publish. What would be the best way to solve this ? 

If I make it a graphic clip, the nested animation plays on the stage in Animate but not when I publish it.Is it that nested animations are not a thing in html 5 or maybe I'm missing a setting somewhere?

When starting Adobe Animate, the screen gets locked in the launch screen with elements distorted, namely the bouncing ball which is the white square in the bottom left corner, as if it's being scaled improperly due to resolution. I also cannot interact with the UI.I do not believe I have messed with any resolution options for my monitor and the computer eventually has Animate run as a background process. I had this issue spontaneously happen with the previous version of Animate but was fixed after updating. However, now it's back to this distorted screen.I can open .fla files but they simply open up and nothing in the UI can be interacted with. I should note I am using Windows 10 and also have a graphic tablet with a screen on it but the screen hasn't been turned on for a while now. It has been a few days since I've had this issue and I turned off my computer everyday so I'm kind of left with little options. Is there anyone who knows how to generate an .aad file in Animate? I try to get help from Support but they always send me to this community.

Hello, I'm in the process of getting back to creating basic animation. I use to use the Flash software "back in the day" and just installed Adobe Animate to create an animation similar to what's in this link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-FlxM_0S2lA . My question is where can I find prebuilt scenes and vector characters that I can insert into the scene and add basic looping movements. I'm aware that I can hire someone to do this, but I would like to try it myself first. Also, if there is another Adobe program that would work better I'm open to trying it out? Thanks much.

Using createjsHi, I know how to create a motion tween via the timeline but I would like to do it via code. It would be a whole lot neater as I have to tween various objects and I hate long timelines. I was thinking of creating an empty movieclip - well transparent just as a way of helping with position. Then I would tween the mc to the transparent mc. I seem to remember it was possible via a tween engine but I'm not sure. Googled but came up short.

Hi all,I need help trying to find a way to use Animated and DoubleClick Studio (DCS) Dynamic feed. I know if you put code in the action panel, and you export animate, it creates a .js file with that code.So grabbing the code from (DCS) and placing it into a keyframe within animate is all good. The problem is, calling outa movieclip id within animate and getting DCS code to see it.What normally happens is DCS calls the <img id="product"> in the html and populates it with a image.DCS Codecreative.setupDOMElements = function () {  creative.domElements = {};  creative.domElements.product = document.getElementById('product');};Since Animate writes all the properties id in .js, I need to change DCS code to find the 'product' id in the .js instead.Hope that makes sense? Does anyone know what code I need to change, so it works? I've been looking into using Mac (or Win) Projectors as a way of delivering interactive animations with voice narration in lieu of requiring users to have .swf / flash player. But when I transfer a perfectly working Mac Projector to an external device (a USB memory stick, Google Drive, a Blackboard website) the Projector reverts to a folder (that apps I understand are meant to be) and double-clicking on this folder just makes the user navigate into the folder where no "app" can be found. Downloading the folder back into a Mac (even the Mac that originally created the projector) reverts the folder back into a Projector icon, BUT clicking on this gives a message that the "<file name in quotes> is damaged and can’t be opened. You should move it to the Trash." - with a "cancel" and "move to trash" as the only options. Zipping the projector first before uploading to an external holder, downloading the zip file, unzipping, and clicking on the Projector icon results in the sam

I want to deliver a suite of animations that contain interactive elements (buttons, click-and-drag, hitTest, text input, etc.) which I used to be able to do with Flash Player (before End of Life).I can't get Projectors to work properly, they don't seem to survive transfers out of my mac: https://community.adobe.com/t5/animate/projector-gets-broken-after-transferring-out-of-my-mac/m-p/11935493#M342391 and I can't think of any other way of publishing the fully functional, interactive animations.

Hello,  I am fairly new to working with Animate and I am having difficulties working with editing sound. I have to create a HTML5 project, include sound and use the edit sound envelope. I have added my audio files to the library and on my timeline, however the effect and edit sound envelope options are grayed out and I can not use them. I just finished the practice lesson where both buttons worked previously, I do not know what to do now. 

whenever i use my drawing tablet in adobe animate the drawing tablet isn't working the pen doesn't work not even the press keys work

I have two nearly identical Dell computers. One has Adobe Animate 2020 installed and the other has Adobe 2021 installed. Files that were created in Adobe Animate 2020 fail to open in Adobe Animate 2021. Any suggestions?

Hey there. Just thought I'd ask if anybody could pose a to my problem. Having terrible trouble actually trying to pay for Animate so I can use it again. I got it a while back, and it has been inactive for most of the year, and I hadn't any cash in my account, so I wasn't able to pay the monthly fee, so it basically disengaged. Now that I can, I can't seem to actually purchase it again. All my details are in place and correct, but no matter what I do, it seems to either not recognise the info, or just won't accept it. Any suggestions?   

Hi everyone,I am currently making dynamic chart with its data is random generated and column can be grouped.Dataset is random generated using number.Column is number range and can be changed (such as 1-10, 1-5, 1-20...).Column height is dynamic => Max value and step value are also dynamic.I want to ask if we can make chart like this in Animate using dynamic dataset?Thank you very much.

I've hunted for reasons for this but nothing simlilar is popping up.  I've created a simple walking character using parenting & classic tweens.  There are only instances are of the same objects for each item/limb (one common error I found when searching was multiple objects created accross 1 limb, if you like!).  Exporting as asset appears to work find, but in trying to then import that to another stage or to the library I get this error. No further details.  Any 'common mistakes when exporting assets' I can run past?

If I draw something in my main timeline and then later convert it to a symbol, the order of my layers gets all messed up. Is there a way to prevent this when converting to a symbol so my outlines are still above my fill? I know a better workflow around this now but I don't want to have to redraw old elements.

I have six symbols on the stage. When a user clicks each, I want it to lose most of its opacity. As a beginner, it seems like there are many ways to acheive this, but I'm not sure which way to go, and so far, haven't been able to do it. Do you get the transparency effect on separate timelines for each object or on the main timeline, or is it easier through js? Some basic setup advice would be appreciated.

Is it possible to create a short GIFFY directly from an Animator.fla file? 

I have an 11 minute file consisting of four subfiles One of the files is 7 minutes long, so I added the three other files to it, using scenes. With the Start Media Encoder Render Queue Immediately box checked, The "Export Media Creating Movie" stops at 99%.   I would appreciate help in this matter.   James Bowen
