Hi, I'm quite new in the field of Adobe Animate and have quite of a simple question. When I import the vector graphics from the Animate CC Lib, the object is divided to symbols but I can't figure out how to show the trace vectors. The Ctrl+; , ctrl+u, ctrl + h don't seem to work. The Show Edges and Show Bounding Box are turned on.Might the problem be caused because I have a trial version of Adobe Cloud ?

Is there no simple way to control an audio clip in HTML5 Canvas using the Code Snippets. Seems such a simple requirement that you could start, skip and stop an audio clip using a button click somewhere like you can with a video file. Thanks

Hi I'm a student and I just started using animate but every time I try to save I get a unknown error message and it try's to quit the app with out saving. I've tried resetting preferences and I can't uninstall and reinstall the app. Is there any way to fix it.

Hey legends,I've got audio playing fine within a scene but as soon as I go back to the main/original (Scene 1) there is no audio on tests, play option or renders.I have tested random tracks on Scene 1 and they play but no audio from tracks within the scene.

So I've been staying at my boyfriend's house during the quarantine, away from my desktop PC. I have my laptop with me and a Huion GT-191 graphics tablet (which is not exactly made to be portable but I digress). I had everything set up and working just fine, even in Animate (2020, latest version as of two weeks ago), until I decided to change the position of my monitors in the Display settings (Windows 10) because it was registering my tablet as underneath my laptop screen when I wanted it to be to the right. After changing these settings, I'm now seeing the commonly reported issue of the lines I'm drawing with the brush tool appearing 3 inches below where I actually have the pen to the screen. This is only happening in AnimateThe pen still works correctly in Photoshop and MS PaintThe driver for the tablet was just installed an hour agoI have closed and reopened Animate, restarted my computer, recalibrated my tablet, and changed the screen size settings in Display Setting

hi! I am attempting to figure out how to animate text on a path. Imagine the image below as an animation (and I would hide the line so it just appears the text is moving in a waved line):..(this was taken from a photoshop tutorial website): See link below herehttps://ibb.co/j8cdfsX I have looked everywhere for how to do this. Yes there are tutorials how to move an object across a designated path, but for the text, I was hoping this could be done simpler, without needing to transform every letter as an individual object and set them up to follow one another (this seems way more complicated, esp for a longer sentence!) Does anyone have any possible idea if this is possible in Animate?!! I would seriously be so appreciative of this help.

I finished an animation and when it came down to working with my camera, anytime I set it up and go to check my progress it doesn't work. It still shows everything in the stage even when it's supposed to be zoomed in. It's only works when I zoom in extremely or zoom out extremely. thank you

I was not actively using my Adobe Animate at the time, but the program was still running in the background, when the entire program just shut down unexpectedly. I hadn't saved in a day, and when I tried to open the recovery file, all I got was an "error occured opening file" message. What should I do??

Hello,I'm converting my Flash application to HTML5 Canvas in Adobe Animate.  The old Flash version had a List Component.  This had a scrollbar, selectable items, data provider, etc.  In that, I read an XML file and populated the List with the data.The new HTML5 Canvas List Component is only a numbered or bulleted list -- it is nothing like the "listbox"-style Component from Flash.  There is no scrollbar, and you can't select any items.Can anyone please answer:1) Should I be doing something different in Adobe Animate/HTML5 Canvas to achive the same style of scrollable/selectable List Component?2) If not, can you please point me in the right direction of how I can bring in that type of object?Thank you for any help.

Hi,Every tutorial I watch has the brush tool with size and min size properties.I downloaded Animate yesterday and i can only find 'classic brush'. It doesn't have the min size property.The more I watch tutorials on your website the more I notice is missing.I've tried beginner and expert preferences and every workspace type.I've attached some pictures to show what I mean.Please help!

Hi,today I opened an .ai file in An and there were many objects on the same level. I needed an object that was behind many other objects and moved all other objects to be able to select my object. Then I had to move the other elements back to their old positions. That was a lot of effort and time-consuming. Is there an option to make it easier to select the object behind many other objects on the same level? Best regards,René

Hi,I really need help. I was exporting a WIP of my animation, and it got stuck on 93% for a few minutes. I forced quit the application and then it asked me if I wanted to reopen it. I clicked yes, it gave the "reopen RECOVER_XXXXX" pop-up, I clicked yes, and tried exporting again. It then got stuck on 92%. I forced quit again, then manually reopened Animate. it then asked if I wanted to reopen the file with a pop-up. I said yes even though the application was already opening. When it opened, it didn't ask if I wanted to reopen the recovery file. Instead, it brought me to the main file selecting page thing. I didn't see the file. I searched in lots of folders, my trash, everywhere that made sense, but I couldn't find the file anywhere. I'm using a MacBook and running Adobe Animate 2020.Thanks, Antonym

Hello. I have dynamic text (the number '6' in the following image) that decrements by 1 every time the user presses the Enter key (as can be seen in code within the second image). If I make the dynamic text a symbol such as a MovieClip, the number no longer decrements on stage but the variable does within the code.  How do I reference the dynamic text within the MovieClip symbol within my code so it decrements as it originally did on stage?

HiI've created several interactive animations (simulations) that use movieclips moved or rotated by code according to parameters entered during run-time. However, even though these animations run smoothly on computers, they run very slowly on mobiles.Then I used tweens instead of moving the object by code, and it worked smoothly on mobile devices.What is the reason and how to solve this?Thank you in advance

I have scrolling text in a movieclip that I want to fade in and out (top and bottom) using a gradient transparency mask. This has to be output as HTML5 canvas. How do you create a transparency mask with faded out edges? 

how to open and update the swf file?

really irritating that the tools panel won't stay open - I have to go to Windows to open it each time........

I have tried all methods to stop this crashing but it still crashes on launch.  All other adobe apps launch fine.  I'm using Windows 10.  If anybody has any suggestions I would love to hear them.

Hello,I'm brand new to animate and am trying to create a scene wear a bike enters and stops. I set up a motion tween but it keeps looping. I just want it to enter and stop in the middle of the scene and not move again. Please help!Thanks,Kate
