Writing this out every time for the numerous click functions I have seems a bit redundant: exportRoot.TXT_add.text = "Some Value"; exportRoot.TXT_ext.text = "Another Value"; This would be tidier: ADDR = "Some Value"; EXT = "Another Value"; There must be some way to do this, but I can't find anything on the topic.This is my attempt:var ADDR = exportRoot.TXT_add.text; var EXT = exportRoot.TXT_ext.text; clear_INFO=function(){ ADDR = " "; EXT = " "; } clear_INFO(); That should clear the content of the Dynamic text objects, but it does nothing. And it also does not produce a console error, shouldn't it? Is this sort of thing simply not possible? Looking for clues, thanks.   

Hello, we are using a layer exporting script in 2022 animate that we found on this forum. It's very useful for managing the nomenclature and index order of sprites drawn in animate, and generally facilitates collaboration between Animate and game development very well.However, there is a significant color quality issue when exporting because there are no Export Options when using this script. If you select Export Movie, it will give you these options. I need this Layer naming script to do this. After some research we found that it is possible and we amended the script's parameters so that it should display an export dialog that prompts you with export options now. Either the documentation that we used is out of date, or something has become obsolete. Hello All, So I have been trying to get excited about this Asset Warp Tool but it keeps pixilating the assets I apply it to. At first I thought it was becuase my Document size was to small so I boosted the size up tremedously and that did actually make it...less blurry but still there was loss, less loss but.  I thought it would be fine once I crunch it down and render out like say a GIF at a much smaller size.  Well ...I did just that just now and the quality of the warped objects is much more pixilated then any object without and really just ..bad.  As of know Im feeling like this is not a usable tool and am thinking I should have done this project in Affter Effects and try out there warp tool.  Or even raster everything and use Unity as a free spine rig tool:/ Any help would be greatly appreciated!  Thank you in advance:) Attaching a screenshot of a part of the GIF output and what it looks like in the working file.  Looks fine in the in t

The software is very slow and laggy on my new Mac M2 Pro. There's a half-second delay with my stroke and eraser, or when I rotate/drag the canvas, or redo/undo a stroke (the error "animate is processing strokes please wait" appears regularly),etc.Got the Same version on PC and never had that issue. I'm trying to achieve a couple of effects in Animate using HTML5 to create interactive aliens and random spaceships with the kids. Guys I have an image which is bigger than stage, but when I play this movie in player the background image is cropped on each of sides, that is on left and right there is a gray margin around 2cm wide.Any ideas how to fix this so the background image covers entire stage?Thank you.

If this has been covered somewhere else, I apologize. Feel free to redirect me. But after not using the 3D tools in Animate for a number of years, I'm teaching a class in this again. And the 3D tools are not behaving at all how I remember them (or in any way that is useful). I've also got a video showing the glithces below. There are two. They feel related. Glitch no 1 is that when I change any 3D property, it automatically readjusts after I let go of the mouse. I tell something to be at 300 z position, it moves itself to 400+. I rotate something half way along the y axis, it over-rotates to the other side. Not only does this work very differently than in older software versions, but it makes working impossible. How can anyone plan an animation, then the program readjusts everything on you? The second glitch has to do with nested 3D animation. If there is any 3D manipulation inside a movie clip at all, the animation outside that MC gets weird. It's as if the anchor point

Animate runs pretty well and fast on M1 Macs under Rosetta 2, but will Animate be updated as a M1 native app for its 2023 release? I don't see any Animate Beta app on CC, so very curious to find out if you Adobe peeps can give us the inside scoop on the near future. Thanks!

I was working on a project in Adobe Animate and I have no idea what I might have clicked or what happened. I can't see any of my objects or symbols in the stage or offstage and none of the layers are hidden. When I download it as a .swf file I'm able to see the full animation but I can't see anything in my workspace. I know it's a long-shot to see how I can fix this with so little information, but I have provided a screenshot of my full workspace so hopefully someone can find out why this may have happened and how I can fix it. It's the same as Google Web Designer has it. basically, I rotated the torso slightly on every frame, but only the torso shows onion skin, although everything else is linked to it through armature/rigging. I need all body parts to show onion skin, please help.

Hi Guys I managed to get all my buttons work correctly. now i need some help with sound/music. I need the title music to play at the start of my project frames 1-28 where my first bit of frame by frame animation runs with it. But when I test project the animation runs ok but no music. But when i press button to go to another part of the project and return to home page the animation plays ok again and the music to but only for the duration of the short  animation. I need the music the keep playing in that area 1/28 until the user press a button and move on.Help! AlanY

Just this week, Import to Stage is greyed out from the import options. Don't know what I did but I need to undo it.

I was trying to learn some javascript. I'm not good at coding, but can get stuff done with actionscript as I've used it since 2001 or so. Haven't really done anything interactive in Animate in years so I started with something easy: pressing a button makes the timeline go to a certain frame. So first off the frame numbering is different from actionscript. In EaselJS the first frame is 0 and in Actionscript it's 1. Ok, I can live with that, but what I can't live with or understand is why the frame numbering in Animate's timeline won't start from 0 then? I understand that this would be the case for projects that use ActionScript, but if you do a project file in HTML5 that uses javascript it uses the same frame numbering system and this makes everything so difficult to work with or understand. Add insult to injury everytime you export the project you get an output error message reminding you of the frame numbering being different from what you see in the timeline. Hello! I'm trying to make a countdown timer with AS3 in a dynamic text box to add to my timed puzzle game. The "100" simply won't show up in the text box. The code: var nCount = 100;timer_txt.text = nCount.toString(); I tried this exact same code in a new document, and it worked perfectly. However, in the file I'm editing, there's already a lot of extra (not DRY) code that I think is interferring with the timer.I would copy paste my existing code but it's 1600+ lines and would clog up this post (happy to put the code up later if someone needed it). Any help would be appreciated! 

I need a bit of help. I'm trying to make an animation with some face movement, but for some reason, the face and mouth just snap to the top of the stage for no reason. I didn't change anything, nor did I do anything different, it just snapped up top for no reason.This frame and onwards is the troublemaker.But the ones before behave correctly.The parenting hasn't changed, the face is still connected to the head, and it functions just fine with those frames, but it just breaks onwards. Please, I need help to fix this or atleast find out whats wrong.

Hi. I'm an animator who works on Animate CC, and a few months back an odd error showed up: I couldn't open the files provided by my studio anymore without Animate just instantly freezing. It will not respond, no matter how long I wait. After some trial and error, I figured out that this error only occurs when there are MP4 files in the library. The same issue happens if I try to import an MP4 file into a pre-existing file. Unfortunately, my studio uses MP4 files for storyboards, so that makes any work impossible to do. My workaround so far has been using a separate computer to delete said MP4s from the FLAs, convert them to FLVs and put them back in. That option is no longer possible for a few reasons. Over the course of a few months I have tried absolutely everything I could think of:  Fresh reinstallationTried installing multiple versions of Animate CCReset preferencesUpdated driversUpdated Windows several timesSeveral other things that I can't remember

Hello, this problem does not work in Adobe Animate 2022 and 2023, import fl.VirtualCamera;, although it works fine in 2019, why is this? I thought that fl, as was not in the folder, well, it is there, I looked for answers on the Internet and found nothing on this topic, thanks in advance
