Maintain previous settings from Format Settings in Multitrack mixdown
In premiere, I insert room tone between voiceover bytes in order to smooth out the voiceover and make the edits sound natural. (this is a common practice in industry). I crossfade these chunks of roomtone over a duration of 2 or 3 frames. This is very easy to do quickly in Premiere, selecting all of the transitions and using the keyboard shortcut. However, these crossfades change when I bring the sequence over to Audition for the soundmix. (I'm sending it over from Premiere via Edit -> Edit sequence in Audition). The crossfades become fade-outs that bump up against each other. Obviously this is not ideal, and I have to go through and adjust them one-by-one over the duration of the entire film.See attached screenshot: the top track is how they get translated in Audition, and the bottom track is how they should appear.Note: This has not been an issue in the past. This has always been a part of my workflow and just recently started happening. Not sure if the problem is in Audition or P
We spend a lot of time ducking audio when working with interviews. It would be great to have auto ducking with dialogue and not just against music. The bleed into one interview mic and the other is usually not too bad... I bet Adobe Sense could figure this out cleanly.
I am editing podcasts and it's great to have markers and even be able to export them to use with tools like Forecast.app to make chapters in the final M4A or MP3 file. The problem is, I have to add the intro and outro after editing the whole episode. Ofcourse then, all the markers are off by however much I insert in the beginning.I have yet to find a way to make all the markers move that far (and made myself a script to export, add or remove those minutes/seconds from teh markers, and import the new markers).I think moving all markers by a certain amount should be default possible in Audition. Thanks 💪.
i would like to see presets from mike russell
It's infuriating switching between the two programs and having to mentally switch between using 'C' in Premiere and 'R' in Audition. They do the same thing, so they should use the same shortcut.
I'd to be able to designate areas where I plan to perform future tasks. I want to be able to save notes in my timeline at specific time segments so I don't forget my ideas. Being able to block off these areas would help me to better keep track of my thoughts at the time without having to write external notes.
The new Punch & Roll feature is great. However, there is one tweak that needs to happen, soon. You shouldn't have to "fade-in" a clip in multitrack to make the "punch-in" transition smooth. The automatic crossfade should work like it did before in multitrack. You also shouldn't have to go back and smooth over punch & roll sections in the waveform editor. For long form narration, this adds editing time which PnR was designed to reduce.

I come from a Nuendo background and there we had the option to increase/decrease the clip gain by +/- 1 dB with a keycommand (or with a Hardware controller).we have the "clip gain" command but that only brings up the clip preferences up and puts the cursor at the numeric value.. so, still al lot mouse or numeric keypad hassle for a simple level adjustment..
First you should make it compatible once again with the 32 Bit plugins, and also make it compatible with Slates plugins, like VMR and the VMS
It would be great to be able to use Waveform Editor as a source monitor like in Premiere Pro. Basic functionality is there already, (you can insert selection into a multitrack session) but the interface could be more intuitive to use. Easiest way to implement this would be allowing Audition to have both Editors in separate panels so they could be stacked side by side. Ability to drag and drop a selected portion of the clip from a Waveform Editor to Multitrack Editor would be much faster and more intuitive than just blindly copying stuff from one editor to another. I would also like to be able to do some destructive changes to my audio (like a quick noise reduction process) without ever leaving the multitrack view. Jumping between two different views is extremely distracting and counter-intuitive especially when you're dealing with a huge amount of tracks in Multitrack Editor. Having both editors open side by side would be a much better option in my opinion.
can't see a thing
After Effects has an knob in the Composition panel that is labelled "Adjust Exposure (affects view only)." This knob allows you to adjust the exposure to see what's going on better without affecting the final product at all.I would like a near identical feature inside Audition for the amplitude of a Spectral Waveform view.I work on a lot of quiet audio and it can be very hard to see. We don't dynamically compress audio until the end of our workflow in Premiere. Being able to visualize at a higher (or lower) amplitude would be incredible on the eyes
The cross fade option while mix-pasting is great, but i would love to be able to set it to crossfade just the top or just the tail (or both like it is now) depending on the situation.Example...I want to mix-paste something, but want it to cross fade at the start of the paste, and be a straight cut style paste at the end of it.I will try to explain better if that didn't make sense.
There should be an Adobe Audition app for those broadcasters and musicians who reply more on mobile devices.
There is already Audition running on the Mac M1 why not have a version for the iPad Pro m1?
The ability to select multiple clips or tracks and apply the same effect to them simultaneously - either by using the track/clip effects or by copy/pasting effects - would be a huge time saver. Yes, I realize you can create a preset and apply an effect rack that way, but you still have to do it one track or clip at a time.
I want to be able to multi select effects in the effect track, in wafeform and in multitrack to quickly copy and paste them to other tracks. And a function with that I can bypass all selected effects at once in Mixer view
Currently when using keystroke M to add markers, Audition names the new marker with the prefix specified in the Marker Prefix field in Preferences and a 2 cipher number is assigned sequentially with no user control. The requested upgrades would be:1) Allow users to set/reset starting number during a session, regardless of existing markers2) If user sets a new Marker, then immediately renames it in the Marker panel, a pop dialog box could then prompt user if new markers should be named with the same prefix (this prompt could have a “Do not show me again” checkbox so this behavior could be silenced. This will save the user from opening preferences multiple times in a session to adjust track name prefixes to identify particular parts.3) Allow user to rename all prefixes of a group of selected makers with one edit by selecting all the markers to be changed and edit the prefixes as a group, while leaving the number suffixes alone.4) Similar to 3) above, Allow user to rename all numeric suffix
Hello, Audition-Team!Blackmagic Design just rolled out some pretty impressive audio additions to Resolve 16... these SHOULD be in reach for Audition's next release - hopefully. Hey, we're talking about a Color-Grading-Suite regarding Resolve! Function and interface are looking pretty good there.Great work so far, Adobe, but THIS and bins to better organize your project... would go a LONG way to be future(/present)-proof.Best, MichaelFeatures in DaVinci Resolve 16: https://youtu.be/8fmvUsBPJn8?t=1218PS: Truly great new steps in the current version! Loving it!
The ability to organize presets into folders would be extremely helpful.
A search window for the timeline, similar to that in files panel, to search for clips in the timeline.Discussion- https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2572083
It has been a while since they all shared the same color and it is still a bit inconvenient especially when I am looking at multiple project files of different kinds and I have to take extra time to go through to make sure I am clicking the file I am looking for.
