Audition

Hi all,I'm editing video footage I shot a couple years ago and only now have I relized there are jumps/skips in the audio. It seems upon recording, either my mic or Open Broadcaster Software dropped the recording on intervals every second. I can delete the gaps and the audio flows pretty smoothly still, but then because of the cuts it no longer aligns with the video. The audio is a .wav file already so I don't believe its an issue with the file type. Is there any tool I can use to bridge the gaps in the audio? And better yet, is there a way I can bridge all of the gaps at once, since the recording is 2.5 hours long?Thanks

Hi there - I was just starting to edit a waveform recording, and started by running the DeNoise tool. When I tried to apply my change, it processed and then came up with an error along the lines of "Failed to write to disk - save your changes and restart Audition". So (stupidly) I did that, restarted Audition, and when I tried to open the file again, it was blank. Same length as the original recording, but no sound forms recorded. Is there a way for me to recover that pre-overwritten file at all? Thanks

When I set the threshold, it is ignored.  But I've tried the expander-- which nobody talks about, and that works better. Glad to pay if you can teach? If you KNOW somebody who can?

This seems like a stupid question, but is there a volume control in Audition that just affects the volume of the audio that I'm hearing?  Or do I have to adjust the volume using my PC volume control?   Thanks. - Mark

hey guys I have a podcast and record with audition my computer is a dell G5 we keep getting 2 glitches in each show when we record for 1 hour it almost sounds like when someone bumps a table with a record spinning I have no clue what it is I can't find anything on this please help 

I would love to be able to change the app colors in Audition - not Edit > Preferences > Appearance > General, but the active and inactive menu items and icons. I cannot abide gray-on-gray - it's insulting, as if a clever UI designer was thinking, "Ha-ha, catch me if you can - I'm going to make it as hard as possible for you to see the program features." Hipster design must die! At any rate, I'm on Windows 10. Thanks!

I am trying to delete "empty spcace" in a multitrak podcast template. I created a podcast template with my intro and outro with several minutes in the middle to add interview audio to. When the audio does not fill the gap or there it not enough gap, how do I delete empty space or add to it? If you view the image I have attached you can see the gap in the middle of the track that I am currently trying to remove. Thanks. 

After updating adobe to 2020, both adobe audition 2019 and 2020 doesn't function the noise reduction. I capture the noise print but it dosen't apply to entire clip. any idea? I didn't have this issue with audition 2019 but now it doesn't work too. 

Is there a library online anywhere (preferably searchable) that has audio samples of all of the Audition effects so I can know what they sound like or are supposed to sound like?  If not, can there be one?  Pleeeeeease!! 🙏

In the multitrack session, none of the tools work at this point to create dots on the volume line to increase or decrease. I opened an earlier session that already has the fade outs, and still, I cannot see where the volume dots are to increase or decrease the volume in the tracks. this is INCREDIBLY FRUSTRATING. Did I lock somehting somewhere accidentally? I have spent hours trying to figure this out at this point. Hopefully someone can help

So, I finally decided to make the jump from easy, intuitive, fast KILLER RADIO PRODUCTION Cool Edit 2.1, and come on over to Audition.DEAR LORD did you have to nerd it up and change everything?I simply want to take my 34:00 second commercial and time compress it to 32:00.  I don't want to get an Engineering degree to do it. I want to highlight and cut things out of the multitrack, not drag the little bar back and forth...I want hit the same buttons I've used for years, and created award winning major market voice over production with....Why did you have to mess with perfection?

Hello,let´s say I have an MP3 file with a long interview. And I need to „remove“ some of the questions from it. If I delete them from the file, there is no way to put some of them back later easily. My question is — can Audition „hide“ unwanted parts (like speadsheet editors hide columns) so they can be revealed later? If so, how to do that? Thanks.

Hello, Im having a weird problem. I just recorded a track and exported it and everything, but when I go and listen to it, Only the beat is playing - not my vocals or anything how do I fix ?

I have Cool Edit 2000. It includes a function called "Clip Restoration". However, it is a DEMO version. How can I purchase this function to upgrade it to a full version?

I've changed to a new computer, both uing Windows 10.    (From HP to Dell).   Whereas on the previous laptop, Audition automatically knew whether I was using speaker, wired headphones or bluetooth headphones, now it throws up a dialogue box about sound settings.    It works fine on other applications. Why is Audition behaving differently, and what do I need to do stop this happening?

Out of nowhere, the layout I use with files in the left hand corner, the controls at the bottom, and numerous tracks on the screen is GONE.   What happened?     It won't even let me change latency settings, etc on setup.   How do i get it back to the simplest of simple layouts for recording files and then switching to multitrack and assembling those files in a multitrack screen.   the very basic of basic.   Is my hardware messed up??

When I add effects I often get a clicking or short crackle/pop to vocal tracks.  I thought it was possibly a lack of computing power in my old Macbook Pro but no, I'm now using a very powerful Mac and still they come up.  I'm pretty frustrated about this and had high hopes that a new computer would solve it.  I'm crestfallen that it has not solved it.  If I disable or remove the effects, no more clicks/artifacts.  If I replay the part that clicks a couple of times that click might go away.  It's not clipping and it's not on the original recording.  

So I've seen a lot of tutorials on how to send a sequence from Premiere to Audition and back again. That’s all fine. What I’m trying to do or find out, if it’s even possible, is after that can you revisit the project make changes in Premiere such as add new soundbites, and send that back to Audition while maintaining the original work you did in Audition the first time?  I’ve tried a lot of experiments and while I can get my Audition project to see new Premiere video edits, any new audio added in Premiere does not update in Audition. Is what I’m trying to do even possible? I love working in Audition, but sometimes my clients will come back wanted to add in a soundbite or take one out and I need to revisit projects after I work on them in Audition.  Thanks for any help! 

I'm trying to figure out how move multiple clips, over two tracks, to the right in the timeline, while keeping the work I've done in sync.In the image you'll see where I am currently at, how do I move all that work back, so it starts at the five minute mark, instead of starting at the beginning? I want to put some other things at the beginning of the project. I know how to select all the clips, but I can't figure out how to move them all simultaneously. My move tool doesn't move all of them. I just cant seem to figure it out.Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Hi, I'm hoping an Adobe Audition expert can help me figure out what happened here...my PreSonus AudioBox iTwo used to map correctly, Microphone 1 to Adobe Audition Left, Microphone 2 to Adobe Audition Right. Last week I noticed somehow it had switched so that the input from Microphone 1 maps to both Left & Right, but Audition doesn't see or doesn't use signal from Microphone 2. (This setup prevents me from recording a two-voice podcast, or digitizing audio that was in stereo). By switching MME to ASIO I was able to record both L & R, but I'd rather get it back to how it used to work; once in ASIO mode the computer wouldn't play the audio back unless I switched back to MME. I tried other sound-recording programs, which had no problem identifying the two channels from this PreSonus; I tried another audio interface (Motu Ultralite mk3), which delivered L & R properly to Audition with MME selected. But the way I've used it for years no longer works.Not sure whether it's signifi

Hi,I recently ran an update for Audition and now no audio is showing up.All the settings seem correct. It recognizes my Steinberg UR-RT4. When I have audio playing through channel 1 it doesn't show up in the meter.I used this set up with previous versions of Audition and it worked.A week ago I opened an old session and it worked. Now, even the old sessions aren't showing any incoming signal.Am I overlooking a setting somewhere??Thanks!Jason
