Build 10.1.1.11, macOS Sierra v 10.12.6I'm doing Noise Reduction the same way I have for years (capture noise print, select entire track, Noise Reduction), but for the last few months it has only worked when I run it twice, if that makes sense. The first time through does nothing, and I go through the process the exact same way and then it works like I expect it to.Anybody else bumped into this?

Greetings everyone!So I have Adobe Audition 3 after using 1.5 for so long. My VST (Bias Desktop) has been acting up with AA 1.5 for a while so I decided to upgrade to AA3.Everything is working smoothly so far except that after I use my Bias Desktop on a track, it forces a fade in. Sometimes it doesn't have the fade in but sometimes it does and I can't figure out why it's doing this. Thank you in advance, Jordan

Hello.I have a 1000 MP3's that I like to process: matching volume and maybe some editing (fade in/out, ...). A few years ago, I read that if you do this on an MP3 and you save the file again, you would have (some) data loss.To avoid this I could convert them all to WAV, do the necessary things and save them back as MP3. But with 1000 MP's this would be crazy.My question is thus:If Adobe Audition CS6 opens an MP3 (or another format) file, is it instantly opened " as a WAV file ", so one can process it (being a wave and not a data file)?If yes, the data loss problem is avoided, as well as processing 1000 MP3's from MP3 to WAV to MP3 (...).Thanks for an answer in a short notice.Friendly greetings.Oli4

Hello I have an WAVE audio file that can be read on VLC but not on AUDITION or ADOBE PREMIERE PRO. It seems that is is corrupted or that its data go beyond 100MO and can't be read. Thank you for your help.

In Audition CS6, when I press spacebar or the play button, nothing happens but in the lower left it turns to "playing." The red line wont move. No audio. Nothing. Then when I open the preferences tab, suddenly it starts to work and play sound in the background. Then when I close the preferences tab is suddenly stops working. Wtf is going on?

Hey All... I use a number of VST plugins that work fine - Waves Silver package, NS1, Izotope RX suite, RX Final Mix - but for some reason AudioEase plugins (both Altiverb and Speakerphone) cause Adobe Audition CC (latest edition) to crash. It's a Windows "This program has stopped working" generic error with no logs or error code that I can tell. Happens every time, on new sessions, or when using the plugin standalone in Edit mode. Any troubleshooting ideas? Other people with this issue?

In Cool Edit Pro 2, which I have used until just recently, I could record a sample, and when I stopped recording, that portion was selected.  If I wanted to start again from the beginning, I just clicked the "go to beginning or previous cue" button, which looks the same as audition's "move playhead to previous" button, and it would skip back to the beginning and deselect.  This is useful because if I messed up, and wanted to start again, I just had to click this button, and i could restart and record for as long as I want.  However, Audition CS6 will skip to the beginning, but won't deselect, which means that when I try to record again, I'm limited to only recording within that predefined selection window, and when I get to the end of it the recording will terminate regardless of if I'm done recording.  This requires me to type a separate key combo (ctrl-d) to deselect before I can begin to record again.  This is frustrating because it seems like a simple funct

Hi guys, when I create clips on my audio, the sound have gaps between, making a "cliking" sound.What I made wrong? How can I fix this?

Windows 10 using Scarlett Solo gen 1 with the installed driver. Solo shows up and is the default mic and speaker in Windows settings and in Audition. All I am looking for is to see levels show up after clicked (R) and to record successfully. I get nothing. Try recording and it only shows a skinny red area and then doesn't seem to record properly. No error messages of any kind. Please help

Every time I google this, I must be using the wrong terminology, because I can't find the answers, so I will explain this in long form here:I'm working on a project with a team member that's using Audacity, but I'm using Audition. He's doing the foley, while I'm doing dialogue and music. To make life easier for me, he works in multiple tracks so that two sound effects aren't ever fused together. That way, I can move them separately, adjust the volume separately, and so on. However, to get this many tracks, there is a lot of complete silence in between. When I say "silence", I don't mean "microphone is recording but nothing is happening" silence (as my google searching seems to keep defining the word) but total zeros in the wav form silence. No sound at all. (Please, someone tell me the correct professional term for that. Complete silence? Utter silence? Absolute silence? Air break? Dead air? Silence that is actually silent? Negative infinity decibels? No idea.)So, what I should do, now

Hi -I have a number of multi-channel files (8 tracks each) and I'd like to mix them in Audition's Multitrack mode. Unfortunately, when I start a new Multitrack project, I only have options for mono, stereo, and 5.1 editing. Is there a solution for this? Thanks.

I have happily used Audition for years as a voiceover artist, with my Neumann mic into the Mic1 Input of an Apollo Twin Interface, into an iMac running Audition. I record in Waveform in mono, as it's just a voice.Problem is, I've just added a Sennheiser mic to the set-up, plugged it into Mic2 input of the Apollo Twin, thinking I will be able to easily switch between the two, depending on the job I'm recording at the time.However, if I now record in mono,  Audition will only receive the input from Mic1, because Mic1 is on the left channel and Mic2 is on the right. I think I need to change what appears to be the 'Default Stereo Input' to mono, but can't for the life of me work out how. Here's the screen shot of Audio Channel Mapping if it helps.Any help would be really appreciated. Tom

So, I just downloaded Audition from my company's creative cloud, because music making has always been a hobby of mine and I thought it would be close to Garageband. I had been using that for the past year over other programs because I have a Mac and it came with it. I know realize all I can see that is the same is that both have a play button. If someone could help me out on differences and similarities, that would be great!

This will sound odd.Having switched to Audtion from Audacity, I was hoping for superior filters, EQ, etc. I do like Audition better for usability. However, I have just spent a half-hour tweaking my final edit in order to De-Es a little further (I had already done Comp, EQ, De-Es, etc. But I swear not matter what I do in EQ or De-Es now, I do not hear a bit of difference -- even when, as a test, I jacked up all the low frequencies and then the highs. No difference in sound. Same with De-Es -- whether I used a 20db or 80 db threshold, it sounded the same. Have I missed something, other than my hearing?

Greetings, I'm running an old version of Audition (Verison 1.0, Build 3211.2). I've been using Audition for years, have always loved it.  Since a recent Windows 10 update, when playing back files (MP3), there is a loud click every time I hit 'play' from anywhere other than the beginning of the file. Oddly, if I record a file and want to play it or edit it before saving it, the click does not happen; it only happens when playing back previously recorded files. Also, this seems to apply only to MP3 files, not WAV files. I've never had this issue before. I haven't changed anything else in Audition or in my computer (other than Windows updates).  This is driving me nuts. Any help appreciated:) OS info: Windows 10 Home,  Version 1703. OS Build 15063.54064-bit operating system, x64-based processor. Sound card: Realtek High Definition Audio, Driver version 6.0.1.7535

So I'd like to automate a process:I'd like to be able to hit a button and on the current file (in waveform view) have a file that gets appended to the start, and another that is appended to the end. And I need to do a lot of this. From what I understand, I should be able to write a script for this and create an extension with the SDK from Adobe. Am i correct in thinking this? Also:What language would one be using to write extensions?And why the hell aren't there more extensions and scripts available for audition? I donn't think I'm looking in the wrong place. Is there a way to zoom to a specific "resolution" at the playhead in Audition? I'd like to save a shortcut for this. It would be cool to be able to auto select 3 seconds on each side of the playhead and Shift-S that.

As you can see in my picture, my audio clip is about 3.5 minutes long and yet the scrubbing timeline is super small. I couldn't find any setting to fix this and I even checked the end of the timeline to see if there was a stray clip causing it.Anyone know of a fix?Thanks.

I have tried literally everything I know how to do. I have Antares Autotune 7 and I pasted the VST in every folder I could think of (Steinberg, VSTPlugins, Audition>plugins>vst3, Audition>plugins>commons, antares folder etc.) and I'll scan, and it never appears. I tried checking the "rescan existing plugins" (or whatever its called) box to no avail. It works fine in Audacity, but it won't come up in Audition. Any ideas/fixes?

Please, does anyone know how to resolve this error? I've looked everywhere and nobody knows, the problem is not even quoted in fact. When I try to export the track mix the error appears

Audition CC 2017.1.1 build 10.1.1.11 with Macbook Pro a couple of years old and OS X 10.11.6.  Headphones are connected through the headphone jack.  Audition Preferences > Audio Hardware does not show headphones as an output option.  I've done everything I can think of, including rebooting.  No luck.But I may have inadvertently created this problem.  I recently got a new bluetooth headset.  The Mac and Audition assigned it the name "Headphones."  While OS X can tell the difference between the two versions of Headphones, I wonder if this might be causing Audition some problems.Youtube and other audio works just fine.  Yes, I have selected Headphones in System Preferences > Sound.  I've also tried killall coreaudiod via terminal.  No joy.Thanks for any advice.  May not get to this until the weekend.  Plans for this afternoon.Best,Tony

Hello,i have problem wiht file name when i´am using batch or script to apply action for multiple files from folder. The "File name " script is working good when i use it manually but when i try to use it in action and then action use with Automate and Batch or script and Image Processor to apply it to multiple files from folder the File name script is not working anymore and all pictures have text of the first file in them .... the text in them is not the file name of that particular file but it is name of the first file in all of them.​
