Audition

Hey Guys, Trying out Audition and the VSTs appear very small. Anyone know of a way to make them bigger? Ableton they look fine but kind of a grind to use them on Audition. 

Hey guys I'm editing a podcast between 2 men both using individual mics. So I have 2 audio tracks but unfortunately they were close to each other and the room is very echo-y so I can hear both speakers in each track. I tried the Unmix Mutliple Voices in SpectraLayers 10 but it didn't work very well cause they have pretty similar voices. I was thinking that Adobe Audtion (or Spectralayers) could scan both tracks and recognize that they're of the same recording, but that each track has a worse version of the other because of distance, echo etc and then use that information to separate the voices. Does anybody know how to do that?

Adobe Audition has been freezing every few seconds for over 3 weeks (Adobe Audition Not Responding message for 5-15 minutes).  I am making a podcast and I'm on a deadline. It hasn't happened previously and was working fine until one day it didn't. I have no clue why it started, this is a relatively uncomplicated file with 4 tracks. I have searched Community Forum and followed EVERY piece of advice others have tried, nothing has worked. I have spent an entire day with a technician cleaning and updating everything on my Windows PC, including installing extra RAM (I am now using 32MG). NOTHING has worked. I have cleaned and deleted files from media cache (including all CFA & PEK files); changed locations for temp files (Primary & Secondary) to fastest SSD hard-drives; changed backup locations and auto backups. A lot of users seem to have experienced this problem without any real fix, solutions or reasons offered from Adobe. The problem is with Adobe Audition ONLY, e

I have a single multitrack recording that contains multiple songs. I do not want to keep the entire file as whole as I want to break up each song. What is the best way to do this? At this point, I am copying and pasting each segment to a new session and when I go to save it, it wants to save all the tracks along with it. I get that they are the reference files but I am going to go through a ton of storage space. So i guess the real question is: what would be a good work flow to accomplish something like this?Thanks for any advice/insight.

I want to use a side chain for kick and bass, so they are heared and silence on the same moment. Currently only sidechain compression exists, but then the oposite happens: bass is silence when kick is heard and in the silent parts of the kick, then the bass is heard. It must be the other way. Gate could be a solution, but there is no Sidechain option for it.Anybody?

I am Amateur, live streaming with Restream for 2yr. I have never had a problem with sound out at the local park. But I used a new headset mic, and I sounded underwater for 1 hour. Suddenly, it said well, and the sound went normal; could the Bluetooth interfere? I was using a regular mic. I expressed underwater and deficient. Usually, it may be blurry with low data speeds, but I never had an issue with audio. Could it be internally adjusting to the new mic sounding slightly more bouncy or eco? I DON'T KNOW, BUT I DON'T WANT IT TO HAPPEN AGAIN. THE RECORDED VIDEO SOUDS GREAT. IS ONLY THE LIVE VIDEO THROUGH RESTREAM TO YOUTUBE? ANY IDEA ALL THEIR SETTINGS ARE BUILT IN? I HAD IT ON DEFAULT. How can I stop the play button so that it doesn't automatically return to start at the end? (Latest Audition version/ WIndows 11) Thank you

Help! Editing VO in Audition. The audio wave form is showing up, but audio won't play. I can't export the sound, can't copy the sound, can't do anything with it. There is only a small snippet of the 26minutes that plays. Anything I should be looking for? Screen shots attached.

I am just starting to use Audition, so I'm sorry if I am asking something that doesn't make sense. I did a 15 minute voice recording to upload on Youtbue and when I listen to it most of the volume is too low. So I found online that Match Loudness is one way to make your audio file volume go up. I want to do this but is there anyway to get rid of all these spikes/peaks on the audio file before I boost up the volume for the whole audio file so that the volume is more consistent throughout the recodring?Here is a screenshot of how the original audio file looks: 

MacBook PRo - IOS VERSION 14.3.1 Audition: (Version 24.4.0.6. and older)I work on a macbook.I have a Yeti USB microphoneIn all applications, the microphone works.Also in Premiere Pro.But in Adobe Audition it doesn't. But....in Audition, no microphone works at all.Not even the build in from my MacBook.

When I try to record in Audition in a Multitrack session with 3 microphones, only mic 1 is recording, but sends signal to all 3 tracks!  I am using a Studiolive AR8c as interface for the mics.I have selected Studiolive AR8c in Audio Hardware settings , I have selected input for each track, mono mic 1, 2 and 3. I have armed the tracks.I am working on a Macbook pro with 14.3.1. and Audition 2024 When I tested everything on my older Macbook pro it worked, so maybe it is a software problem? I would be very greatfull if anyone could help! Here is a screenshot :    

I am having trouble with Audition's copy/paste/clipboard system. I use Audition to edit audio for audiobooks, and one of the things I have to do is copy and paste room tone over noisy or unwanted sections. The process looks like this (this is all done in Waveform Editor on .wav files): 1) I copy my room tone track (which is one second long), 2) select the unwanted portion in the audiobook track, 3) cut the selected portion, 4) and paste from my clipboard. The problem is that when I select and cut the unwanted portion, Audition copies that selection to my clipboard (!) and I end up pasting what I just deleted. My temporary solution has been to switch to the room tone track and copy the room tone after every time I select and cut the unwanted portions, but this is taking way too many clicks. Is there any way to disable this feature? Is there a workaround/shortcut that I can setup to cut down on my clicks? I have tried setting up a Paste Mix shortcut, but the problem with this i

After two years this happen again.... I've tried to set the correct audio hardware, turn of and restart the computer but nothing work.I still hit the button "play" or the space bar but the cursor is stuck and there is no sound. Does anybody can help me?

For a 20 minute video I spend hours manually going through it and cutting up the audio tracks manually raising or lowering the db to be near -6db (without sounding like it is jumping up and down too much). I know there *has* to be an easier way to do this but every "automated" method I've tried sacrifices quality in some way. Is there a way to limit/cap/gate audio at -6db where it simply lowers the db instead of cutting it off with a sort of distortion? For example, I've tried the limiter in the Dynamics effect but anything even a few db over -6db sounds noticeably "weird", as it isn't simply lowering the db. Dynamics Processing also has similar issues. I've tried compression, equalization, normalizing, ect... is there anything that just...lowers the db once it passes a threshold? It seems so simple to me and yet I can not find anything like that. Also of note to my situation: I don't have a couple audio tracks to apply a lufs balance to, my audio is jumpcut into hundreds of

When I try to record audio when no Nvidia GPU consuming apps, it stutters and doesn't record anything. While a game is running in the background, it seems to record fine but when I close it, it just messes up again. Version: 24.2OS: Windows 11Processor: Intel i9-13980HXGPU: Nvidia RTX4080 

HI, When I conduct feild recordings, using my Sony recorder, I set the internal clock and time of day. Is there any way to display the time of day of that file while playing back in Audition? Thus allowing me to navigate/ jump to a precise time in the wave file. For example, I start the recording at 12:50pm and record for 2 hours and then I want to jump to 1:22pm - rather than having to caluclate it using the duration of the file? 

This is profiled in an article by Ryan Morrison Feb 29, 2024 in tom's guide (online) which is a new generative artificial intelligence tool from Adobe. I would like to know more about it and how to access it. Cheers!

Hi, I'm using Audition 1.5. In edit view I'm trying to hit play but a window comes up that says a device ID has been used that is out of range for your system. An error was generated by your sound card. It may not be properly configured - reinstall your sound card driver, check the sound card documentation and, if necessary, contact the sound card manufacturer to help you resolve this hardware error.I already reinstalled the driver, any ideas?

Hi, Version: 24.2.0.83Platform: Mac Sonoma 14.3 Steps:1. Launch Audition2. Open/Create a multitrack file3. Add or record audio4. Play the audio (everything should work)5. Switch to a Chrome browser window (I think other apps will cause it as well)6. Switch back to Audition7. Attempt to play audio or record audio ACTUAL:Audition will not play or record audio EXPECTED:Audition will function the same way it did before switching applications/windows If I close and re-open the multitrack session, the sound plays fine and recording works fine. I just have to close and re-open my project every single time I switch windows. PLEASE HELP!

Hi experts!Trying to set up a multitrack session template for a studio podcast recording with four mics.- ...who are connected to mac through a Yamaha DM3 mixer. Assigned mic 1 to input track 1, mic 2 to track 2 etc.  - Exported "Session as Template"---- Next day: Creates a new multitrack session with this template (Made sure mixer already was connected and chosen as hardware input in Audition.)- Every track has the correct names and effects - but all track inputs say "None", even if the tracks can "see" the right inputs (attached screenshot) So I have to reassign each track input manually again.Which is a problem, especially since this template is made to make recording as quick and easy as possible for several other persons without the skills or time to deal with configuration.  Any advices?

Hi everyone, I have created an audio description file (WAV) for a video, and this WAV file will be used for TV Broadcasting in the UK, so it must have a control track. I found out that there is Emotions Systems and Starfish Technologies are two software that can do such audio engineering, so my question is: does Adobe Audition have this feature (i.e. add control track)? These are the TV Broadcaster's guidelines: The audio channel layout on The Library is as follows:2 Streams - 2 channels per track, or 4 mono channels.Channel 1 - Stereo LChannel 2 - Stereo RChannel 3 - Audio Description/MuteChannel 4 - Control Track/Mute If Adobe Audion can't do this, is there any other Adobe software that can do that? Thanks in advance.

Audition has been crashing for months now, every time I enter the Mutlitrack player. Does anyone know why? Somehow I was able to create a file in the MTP just a few minutes ago, but then Audition crashed entirely. What is going on? It's been months. I have reached out to the company, but no one seems to have an answer. I'm using a fully updated Mac and the fully updated versio of Audition. Is anyone else expereincing this and if so, have you found a fix, or have you gotten information from Adobe?  Thanks everyone!
