Currently we can select the Adobe RGB profile when exporting a TIFF from a raw file but not a JPEG. This seems like an odd omission from Bridge.
Previously, in Bridge, you could right-click to cut and paste changes to an image filename. This was helpful for keeping images with changes separate from others, such as "processed," etc. This was lost with a recent update and now requires using "ctrl-c" and "ctrl-v" which is cumbersome and a dated throwback.
Synchronize Bridge: workspaces and template metadata.Synchronise general user data between my computers. Workspaces and mainly template metadata, keyword list.
I truly love to use labels and ratings WITHOUT the command key, it's easier and more intuitive to manage ratings with one hand... that option was available in past Bridge versions, so why do you take it away?
Open new content tab "Same as current tab" (or similar) missing in Properties. So if I click + on this particular tab, I want to have it "duplicated" instead of opening a new computer/home/desktop or pictures folder.
When you right click on a new image and select File Info you can click on Template folder which brings up all your saved templates (showing keywords , titles, etc). You can then select a file number to copy this info to the new file which can save a lot of time and effort. However, to speed up this process further, the list of file numbers/templates needs to be reversed showing the newest file template at the top of the list, not all the way down the bottom. I have numerous file info templates saved and 90% of the time I want to copy a recent one, not one I created 5 years ago, so I find it very frustrating to have to scroll all the way down the list to get to the template I want. I contribute to Adobe Stock and need my newest file info templates at the top of the list please, not at the bottom.
With Kyno having been purchased by Signiant and essentially stagnant, there is a huge opportunity for Adobe Bridge to step up in its place. Features such as drill down into sub folders, video playback of multiple video and audio codecs (which work in Premiere Pro already), visible metadata such as time code, codec, resolution, fps, etc. -- these would be extremely useful for professionals and non professionals to track assets and generate reports across small and large projects. Please have a look at the Kyno website for one example of what is useful. I would start using Bridge across current professional projects immediately if it had similar capabilities. Adobe already has the technology -- please fortify Bridge to a point that it's useful for video professionals. https://lesspain.software/kyno/
this would make it easier to find duplicate files
This would be functionally identical to "open with" but renamed as "edit with" and would allow users to select two different applications to be associated with a media type. For example the user could have, for an audio file:Open with > Windows Media Player (to preview)Edit with > Adobe Audition (to edit)This would save a lot of switching back and forth when wanting to alternately preview a media and edit it via different software.
Please enable this option "Close Other Panels in Group" when updating the bridge, it is very important, I don't understand why they removed it. If you could add the shortcut (Command) Ctrl+F4 to close the tabs, that would be great.
そうすると「photo.jpeg」を編集して「edit.psd」を保存し、ウェブ用に最適化した「picture.png」を出力することになる。 Bridge has the ability to display and sort images in various ways, but finding similar images or different sizes of the same image can be surprisingly time-consuming.Especially when you are doing a whole process from printing to websites, you often create print and web versions of a particular image. This would involve editing "photo.jpeg," saving "edit.psd," and outputting "picture.png," which is optimized for the web. As a project, it is manageable if "edit.psd" is still there, and it is still good if it has the same name, but it often has a different name and is also oft
Delete nth characters from beginning or end of file name. For example you want to remove 4 characters from the beginning of the file name.
Typing a file or folder name used to select it in Version 12 and now typing does nothing. Also holding CTRL+scroll no longer changes the thumbnail size.
In previous versions of Bridge you could flip through the pages of your preview before creating your PDF. Now the button only allows for a reset of pages. Please put this feature back.
There is a new file type, .JXL. It's supposed to support HDR and all that. And it does. But the thing is, Bridge and PS don't read the .JXL file, all they give you is a bad preview of it. If you open camera raw, you'll be able to see the HDR in the photo, but when you save and go back to Bridge/PS, you won't see the changes. Very frustrating, as I'm using HDR more and more. Would like to see an update soon because the HDR feature is basically useless for now. Also, deleting the .JXL ALSO deletes the .raw file attached to it, that's just ridiculous...And of course I'm using the latest versions of both programs.
Bridge is great to see thumbnails of all your graphics. However, when developing graphics there are multiple superseded versions. If I want to view all my graphics from a particular project in Bridge, I will get all of the superseded versions as well as the current one. All the superseded INDD and PNG files are in folders called "ss". It would be great if I could exclude any folders that are called "ss", so that assuming everything has been filed correctly, I'd only see one copy of every graphic (the current one).
Allow users to add, edit meta data in the downloader window. This has been a needed feature for over a decade now. I know I'm probably supposed to be using Photo Mechanic or other photo ingestion program but I haven't ugh. But I can't understand why the Bridge Photo Downloader doesn't allow me to edit or input keywords and File Info- caption information- before I start my photo ingest/download from the memory card. At the bare minimum, and in addition to the metadata template selector that already exists, there needs to be a place to edit/append keywords and input file info/description. Including all metadata fields would be great but at least allow the user to put in some minimal metadata right at download.I often have many different photo shoots on one card before I'm at my laptop to download them, so being able to use the Photo Downloader to attach the appropriate meta data to batches of photos as they're being downloaded would save me time and make my workflow a lot better. I use
I'd love to load snapshots directly in Bridge, without opening the pictures in ACR. That's something that Lightroom already does (see screenshot), but that's also the only thing I like about Lr. 😄
in Bridge a person used to be able to take a selection of images, right click one of the selected images and an option for auto panorama, and focus stacking, used to be present and functional. please bring this feature back
More often than I wish, I accidentally change the star rate I've given a photo, usually when I'm hovering over the pictures and thinking what to do next. I would like to have padlock feature with which I could lock the star rating when I'm done and also unlock it if I need to make any change.
Bridge Write Exif Date-Time is wrong.Adobe software used for cahnge the DateTimeOriginal time.Problem is that after change the field value isn't accepted in many apps. Before DateTimeOriginal:1904-12-22T15:35:18.00And after change:1906-12-22T15:35:18ZPlease help me with a solution, or change some Bridge sofware.Best Regards.Mentko Kolk Netherlands.Bridge version 14.0.1.137
Please make it possible in Bridge preferences to choose whether one sees the stars for files whether or not the file is actually selected. As it is now, a file has be selected in order to give it a star rating, rather than simply clicking on the visible stars regardless of being selected.
The files I delete from the SD card are moved to the trash can on my computer's SSD. When I do the same operation with finder, it is moved to the trash can of my SD card. This reduces the life of my computer's SSD and takes up unnecessary space. Why isn't it left in the SD card like finder does?
Add an option to Review Mode to be able to load and view images at 100% magnification and be able to pan around the image to check details. Sometimes I need to be able to view an close-up to choose between images, assign ratings, select etc. It is cumbersome to use the loupe for this. It would be much better to be able to load the entire image at full size and then pan around it to check the details.
