Hi, I am using Adobe Photoshop CS5 quite happily thank you but I want to edit Nikon .NEF raw files using the newer Adobe Bridge! (Edit in Bridge, save as Tif, open in CS5)Despite owning a registered copy of Photoshop CS5 I get the message; 'Camera Raw editing is not enabled.Camera raw editing requires that a qualifying product has been launched at least once to enable this feature' But surely my CS5 does qualify right?
This is driving me INSANE. Yes, I've updated my versions of Bridge. Yes, I've followed other posts about Settings. What's the deal for years and years, jumped into Bridge, clicked around, did my work. Now I LOATHE Bridge. Everything takes so long. It's a real productivity and creativity killer. Is this because of the connection to Creative Cloud? Photoshop lags alot now too. I can't work like this. Please tell me someone has REALLY solved this.
Is Bridge right for me given that I just want to create a few albums with minor captioning and simple edits of photos, and have a slideshow on my TV.I'm overwhelmed by this complex file "organizing" app.. Much more in organization options than I need. It's masking a simple thing I wish to do.How can I make some simple albums of our old trips???ThanksCraig
Hi!I have recently installed the latest version of bridge on the 2020 Mac mini M1, version 11.2 Big Sur.The problem is that bridge does not preview or show me any psd files..
Hello, when adding IPTC Core KeyWords to .mp4 or .mov files, I sometimes get an error message telling some files don't accept them. See screenshot.I thing it's a Bridge bug:some minutes before, those files accepted to get the same keywords, issued files belong to the same group of files that work fine, produced the same minute with the same movie cameraafter using the following trick, those files work fine again. My TEMPORARY SOLUTION:create a Premiere projectimport issued files in the projectuse the "metadata" tab to add a dummy keyword in "Dublin Core > Keywords" fieldclose PPCCgo back to BridgeBridge works fine with files supposed not to be writable for metadata some seconds beforeCONFIG:Adobe Bridge 11.1.1 or earlierOS = Apple Big Sur 11.4Computer: Mac mini M1 2020 - 16Go Ram This issue is really borring! PLEASE, Adobe, try to fix it!
I have a folder of 126 downloaded JPG files in Bridge (ver.11.1.1.185); I'm selecting and opening files from this folder for editing in PS by right-clicking and choosing "Open in Camera Raw." Part way through the folder I encounter a group of 9 files for which the "Open in Camera Raw" is not available. Nothing had been done to these 9 files prior to trying to open them in ACR. The files prior to and following the 9 all have the ACR (ver.13.4.0.872) option. Any ideas what's happening here? I'm working on a 27" iMac with Mojave. Thanks
My company wants to embed images with copyrights to our work. I have no problem adding metadata using Photoshop or Bridge. HOWEVER, when I open the image in other programs the metadata isn't visible and if I save the same image in a different program the metadata is erased. Is there some way to embed metadata like copyrights so that it will appear in other programs and be more difficult to remove? Or at least less likely to be accidently removed?
Bridge and Camera Raw updated last week on my system. Now I have to open Bridge two or three times before it will show thumbnails of my Sony raw ARW files. Even more annoying is that when I right click on some ARW files the option to "Open in camera raw does not appear". There seems to be no rhyme or reason for it. Even with images taken within seconds of each other, one will show the option and the next will not. Not only that, but files that did show "Open in Camera Raw" in one session will not show the option in another session. The ARW files are generated by a Sony RX10 iii and I have been using Bridge to edit them for over a year. This behavior has only begun this week after the latest update. This is extremely annoying and is completely disrupting my workflow. The files will open into Photoshop via Camera Raw. Is there a way to go back to the previous version of Bridge and Camera Raw?
Hi,I have a sudden problem today. When in Bridge, if I right-click on an image and choose "Open in Camera Raw", Bridge will hang and become unresponsive. I can still close the program via the "X" in the upper-right corner, and I'm given the option to Restart, Close or Wait, so not totally crashed. It doesn't matter if there is an .XMP file with previous edits or a fresh image. Raw, Jpeg, PNG all have the same result.I updated to the latest version with the same result. Currently at:Bridge 11.0.2Camera Raw 13.2 In order to get things done, I tried resorting to Lightroom Classic. It, too, is having issues. A pre-existing catalog seems OK, but if I try to Import new images into the catalog, or to a new, blank catalog, it also hangs. As a test, I opened a document in Photoshop and selected the Camera Raw Filter. This successfully opened the bitmap from Photoshop into Camera Raw. Any suggestions? Hi, I've just set up a Bridge photo sorting system for an offshore research trip but I am now concerned that we will be logged out of the program part-way through the trip if we cannot get internet connection. We will be offshore for up to 4 months with possibly no internet connection within this period and it is paramount that we have a usable photo sorting system as photo identifcation of animals is a big part of our research. I thought that as Bridge was a free piece of software it would not require constant authentication but having read more I am now concerned that this is not the case. Please could someone advise as to how long I will be able to work offline for or if you have any alternate software suggestions that do not require a regular internet connection?
I am running Macbook Pro 2020 - Apple M1 chip on Big Sur 11.2.3 / Bridge 11.1.0.175. When I attempt to upload photos I get the following error: 'Cannot create the specified folder. The folder name is invalid, or you not have the permission to save to the specified directory.' I have gone into 'Security & Privacy settings' and added 'Full Disk Access' and 'Files and Folders' for Bridge. This made no difference. I've also created a new folder to write to, and I am the admin on this computer. Same issue. I've never seen this issue previously on my old macbook, or previous versions of Bridge. I'm guessing this related to the M1 chip and Bridge incompatibility? Any help would be appreciated. I doubt a re-install will fix this issue, the initial install was clean.
As of recently, any file I save from any Adobe app saves as a Bridge file. When I try and see a photo on my server, it launches Bridge and won't open as a regular photo on my desktop computer. How do I save files as just regular photos for viewing/editing rather than having them be Bridge files? In the attached picture, you can see how previous files I've saved are displayed as regular photos and how recent ones are Bridge files displaying the app's icon.Thank you!
Can we have an update which will allow the preview of DJI (drone) MP4 (log type) files and also ProRes RAW files please. Otherwise, it is necessary to import files 'blind' into Premiere in order to preview and subsequently edit.
MacOS: 11.3.1 (20E241), Apple M1Bridge Version 11.1.0.175iPhone SE, iOS 13.4.1 Problem: Connect phone to macbook, it is recognized. Open Adobe Bridge > get photos from camera > Photo Downloader opens. Photo Downloader recognizes the iPhone. When selecting it as the source of files it says, "No Valid FIles Found."
I've been using Photo Downloader successfully for years. Recently, it's only been downloading a fraction of the photos in my iPhone. Today, it only downloaded 45 photos, even neglecting to display photos taken earlier this week. What has happened? How can I fix this?
I've tried multiple files and also Lightroom or Photoshop are doing fine, but whenever I try to merge photos via Bridge (v.10.1.1 AND v.11.1) the preview is nearly all grey. Merging and saving the pano works fine, but it's really annoying not to know what the result's going to be. I'm running Windows 10 Pro and my AMD Radeon RX 5700 driversversion is the RadeonProEnterprise.
Bridge is opening my Nikon NEf images from Camera Raw into Photoshop 2020 instead of Photoshop 2021. I have checked the file associations in Bridge preferences ad they are set to Photoshop 2021. JPEGs open in the correct version but not Nikon NEF. Any ideas what I can try to fix this?

Think I may have made errr in attempt to post. Bridge continually crashes ever since upgrade to Big Sur. An Adobe associate did a screen share and only worked 1 day after efforts. Have to go to my 13" Windows laptop to view anything. With 100's of photos and images just no reason to be wasting time like this...Any help?
Hello, does anyone know a way to manage photos and videos on iPhone with Windows 10? The data should be syncronized between the PC or, ideally, NAS and the iPhone. If I delete a photo on the phone, it should also be deleted on the NAS and vice versa. What are the possibilities? Many greetings
HelpHelp, i am trying to get bridge to use camera profiles for my canon cameras and lens.i have reinstalled bridge and nothing has changed can anyone help?thanks
This issue is somewhat related to Importing exif data to Bridge issue, but different enough, I think, to warrant a separate thread. I'm new to Bridge and have limited experience with media file metadata. That said, if Bridge supports display of particular, standard metadata fields in the Metadata panel, and I can verify via exiftool that my media file has (accurate) values for conceptually equivalent fields automatically populated (by my camera), I'd like to see the values displayed for those (conceptually) matching fields within Bridge's Metadata panel when I've selected that media file. In the case of a particular video clip saved to removable storage as an MP4 file by my (Sony) digital camera, exiftool lists values for several information types of interest to me, but Bridge does not list any values for the fields that (appear to) conceptually match those types. Examples of such field pairs include...[Bridge-Exif: "Make"] ⇦ ❔ [exiftool: "Device manufactur
this is what i end up with - never happened before? there is no .jpg?
