Bridge

Hi, I have my asset folders organised according to date, so:2021_12_01-seascape2021_12_02-mountainhike... and so on. These all sit in a root folder and cover a number of years. I want to create a Smart Collection of all .dng and .orf files from the year 2021. Short of adding these indidually, is there a way of creating this Smart Collection and filtering the root folder by both date range and two different file types? Is there a way of finding files by a date range? I have tried to find files using Date Created but cannot work out the boolean for a date range. Selecting 'is greater than or equal to' on the date 01/01/2021 doesn't work. I tried 'is greater than 01/01/2021' and it's still pulling in results from 2020, 2019 ete. The screenshot below shows the criteria 'is .dng and is from 1st Jan 2021 onwards', but underneath is indexing a folder from 2018:  Furthermore, even if I work out a date range I cannot use a combination of 'if any criteria is met' and 'if

I hate waiting for thumbnails to generate when I go into bridge. I move from folder to folder often and revisit the same folders after more than a few months, when bridge purges, I have to wait for the thumbnails to generate again. If I get an SSD that is large enough to hold 100% sized JPEGs of all my photos, can I set bridge to save all the preview jpegs indefinitely, or will it cause a problem? If I can do that, how would IO set it up? Thanks in advance!

Bridge 2022 for MacOS 12.0.1 keeps crashing on me and sending error reports to Adobe. It's very frustrating. I've put a lot of time into going through and rating photos and videos I want to use for a project and now it seems I may need to find another way of organizing things entirely. Any suggestions? Does anyone know is Adobe working on this problem? 

Hi All,   Lateest versions of Photoshop and Bridge. MBook Pro Big Sur.   I am unable to remove Dr Brown's Services from Bridge. I have removed its files from Photoshop Scripts and Bridge presets in the Finder menus. But when I open Bridge and go Tools, in the drop down meny Dr Brown's Services is still there.    I have uninstalled&reinstalled Bridge but thats not helping the issue. Does someoine knows what is going on here and how to have it removed from the Tools meny in the Bridge?    

Hello, I wanted to open Bridge today but was wondering why it was black (see attached screenshot)After making an update I still have the same problem. I cannot see anything. I have macOS BigSur and there are still about 49GB space left (from 121GB) Do you have any suggestions for me, what's wrong and how I can fix the problem? Thanks

I downloaded v12 of Bridge and now I am finding that all of the thumbnails are not showing as well as the metadata.  Has anyone else had this problem?  The previous of Bridge worked fine so can someone tell me how to delete v12 and re-install the prior version?

When the XMP file for one picture is copied from a MAC to a Windows PC (and reassociated with its corresponding CR2 file) and opened in Bridge the Sky mask layer is present but it has no affect on the image: a small yellow warning triangle says 'Sky 1 could not be loaded'. Other brush masks have loaded on the same image without problem. Can anyone suggest a reason for this please.

What happened with the latest update to Bridge? It has always been slow and less than perfect coming to file handling speed. But now it thinks for 15-20 seconds when selecting a photo, then again when pressing space bar to preview. Same thing if double clicking on name to rename files, then again if copy pasting a new name etc. Really ridiculous. Never had these problems before, and been using more or less every version since the initial release. Hard to see it as a hardware problem. Running Win10, 128Gb RAM, dual 10 core Xeon processors and Nvidia Quadro RTX4000, separate SDD drives for OS, programs and scratch.Working files on externals or server.Any idea what's up? All was fine before update to version 12. 

Can somebody please help me to fix this problem? I am on Mac Os Big Sur and my desktop computer shows the MP4 video files but without the picture. I am a video editor so I must be able to see them. I have a laptop and there the images are showing. The problem happened after the new Bridge update. I removed and reinstalled Bridge but nothing has changed. Thank you for your help! 

Hi all, is it possible to organize folders of photos by the creation date of the photos inside the folder? Google Picasa3 did this excellently and I cannot find any other software that does this, and I don't want to have to rename all my thousands of folders using a date format. 

Hi all. I have a (not so small) problem with adding keywords in Bridge. For a cliënt i've added keywords to about 1000 pictures in the course of the last two weeks. When I openened Bridge this morning, only about 50 pictures still had their keywords. When I try to add keywords to the other pictures I get an error saying something like ''error with writing metadata to picture.... .jpg) How can I fix this? I just wasted two weeks of work and the cliënt doesn't have it's keywords now. Thanks in advance. Pieter 

Hello to All! First, NOT a somputer guy! Just had a new computer built, Intel-Gen7, and when re-uploading the CC version of Photoshop/Bridge, looks like I don't have the option for "filmstrip" in bridge now, don't see "filmstrip" anymore?Rich

Since to latest update to Bridge in Windows 10 I have discoverd that when using preview or filmstrip to view Nikon NEF files in order to select which to delete before editing in Photoshop the image of the file in the  preview window is about the same size as the thumbnail in the lower window and does not appear to be able to enlarged. Camera RAW is up to date and JPEG's show as they should in the preview window. I have tries clearing caches but this has not helped. All is well when I use preview with same RAW files on a MAC so it can't be an issue with the files imported from the camera. Any suggestions will be welcome. many thanks Colin

So I want to redo all my photos(about 2000 of them) keywords. I want to delete all keywords in the photo and delete all the keywords in the filter/keyword list. I have tried to find this in the community but nothing works that I have found. Please HELP  Thanks Mike

I downloaded Creative cloud and through that I installed Bridge and Camera Raw.  The account I used for my creative cloud was through my student account as I have access to adobe through these.  The problem is that every time I attempt to acces Camera Raw through bridge a message pops up saying " Camera Raw editing is not enabled. Camera Raw editing requires that a qualifying product has been licensed" I do not know how to proceed. Any help would be much appreciated.

I had been using  such script  found somewhere in internet  for  a while but lost it  after a ssd crush?     Does anyone have a link? Or maybe a script that could load select files as linked smart objects and  make a single smart object of them  with layercoms switch ? 

Hi,I have just changed my laptop and was just wondering if the is a quick way to move all my keyword filters, collections ect to the new computer or do i have to go through and set every thing up from scratch? dose the creative cloud save all this data so when you sign in its already there and ready to go? Will

So, I always use the adjustment icons (crop & adjust in ACR) on my Bridge thumbnails to see what I have edited/modified/croped so I don't reopen files that are done. Today those icons are gone. I can not find the preference or view menu to get them back... Help!   Bridge 11.1.1.185

 Mac 10.4.6 Brideg Version 11.1.1 185 I have spent ages trying to resolve this by trial and error and online research. I delete a keyword by unticking the shown keyword, the image previews with the unwanted keyword disappear. In the metadata filter panel the unwanted keyword disappears, so far soo good, however, after shutting down Bridge and then re-opening it, the deleted keyword reappears in the keyword list and filter panel.Any ideas why deleting the keyword is not honoured by Brideg please?

Smart Collections in Bridge don't work. I have about 50,000 files in different folders/years, all files have been keyworded and haven't been moved, I have created different smart collections for the main keywords, but when I do the search it doesn't display all the items, a lot are missing.. An example: I have about 3,000 files with the keyword "textures" in different folders, but Bridge Smart Collections is showing only 979, the sourse is the main folder, the criteria selected are "keywords/equals/textures" - "if any criteria are met" checked - "include all subfolders". Only if I go to the subfolder where I know the missing images are and then back to the Smart Collection, they will show.Instead,  I've tried the Smart Collections in Lightroom Classic and they work, shows all...But I'd rather continue working with Bridge as I'am more used to this. Can anyone help? What I'm doing wrong?  Anything I'm missing?Thanks a lot.

In Bridge, does changing an 'AI' extension to 'AIT' make the file into an Illustrator template?I did so and when double clicking the file it opened in Illustrator as 'untitled'.Would it retain the functionality with Illustrator upgrades?Does this method work with other applications?I'm looking for the certainty of this. I don't want to lock myself out of my own files.

I have such a problem. I allocated 22 keywords, but only a few show up when I reopen the bridge. Only by clicking on different photos in the panel, the other keywords start to appear. Before the update, the list was full and displayed. I can't quickly add keywords to new photos until I have clicked on a photo in this category beforehand, it doesn't make sense a bit. Thank you for your help.

I got an unpleasant surprise when I opened the latest version of the photo downloader: the photos are in reverse chronological order.  When I download them giving them custom names, they are numbered backwards.  How do I fix this?
