Each time I use the firefly voiceover generation, if I switch the voice, it translates my typed text somehow so the voiceover is read in another language. The voice settings are set to auto (English)

If I choose a new voice to read my selected text, it translates the test within the voiceover into a language other than English.

I’m testing out https://firefly.adobe.com/generate/speech, and after selecting a voice on the left and adding text, the generated result doesn’t match the chosen voice. It also sounds strange—almost like a different language. I ended up wasting credits, so I hope this gets fixed before I use it again.

    Hi Robert_Wildermuth2527,

Thank you for writing about this.

We’ve seen a few similar reports from other users, so I tested this on my side as well and generated two versions:

    • Version 1: I left the language on Auto Detect after pasting the text.

    • Version 2: I manually re‑selected English (US), which replaces the Auto Detect setting.

The second version sounded noticeably clearer and more polished. I didn’t get a full language switch in the first version, but I’d like to investigate this further to understand what’s happening on your end.

Could you share the text you used, along with the model and voice you selected? That will help us dig into this properly.

Let us know, happy to look into it with you.
