After effect updating AE to 25.01, it keeps giving errors and crashing, I can't do anything, I can't render. I'm about to go crazy, please someone help me, I deleted and reinstalled it many times but the problem didn't change.

I've been running into the same crashing others are describing here. Opening projects and being unable to edit or render. Being forced to render in encoder which has sometimes worked. I'm currently on a m1 macbook pro 32gb ram using Sonoma 14.7.1.

One solve I've been finding useful here is Opening AE without a project. Purging all memory and cache and then opening a project and rendering. That has somehow bypassed the crashed but its a quick solve. I hope the folks over at Adobe can fix this going forward. Hope this helps.

I'm not using beta, but I'm using a cleaner tool from CC (and still doesn't work). Also, about solution with support. Can you write step-by-step what to delete or do to fix this problem on windows 10? I can't give anyone remote control access to my PC becouse company policy (also send a files external).

Hello,

From @CitizenBB1975's suggestion of needing to go through support and have them cleanup files to resolve Citizen's version of this issue, perhaps I could suggest trying Use the Creative Cloud Cleaner tool to solve installation problems (adobe.com) to clean this install (if previous installs work), and try a reinstall.

We additionally sometimes get more logging information out of the Beta builds, does anyone in this thread use the beta and experience the same issue?

Same issue. AE25 seems broken. Also once a file starts crashing took me quite few tries to get it to downsave as AE24, even in safe mode... once a file starts playing up it retains it's corruption. Wasted hours on this.

Same here. Crashes while opening projects, saving, importing 4K footage seems to affect it quite badly. Even adding a tint effect has crashed it. I've fully uninstalled and reintalled and still have issues constantly.

On MacBook Pro 2023, 64GB RAM, M2 max.

When using the support chat bubble, type "agent" and then you will be prompted to choose between continuing via chat or phone.

I had this, you need to get on to the Support Chat, and go through all the questions until you get to a human, then go through all their suggestions until they remote takeover your PC then they'll delete a load of stuff and it works.
