"Please connect to the internet" (101)

When I open After Effects, I get this message:
“Please connect to the internet as soon as possible so the license can be activated (101). The license must be activated online within 2 days or it will become invalid.”

This has been happening since yesterday. I’ve already reinstalled the app, signed out and back into my Adobe account, but the message keeps appearing no matter what. I’m really worried because I have important projects to work on in the next few days, and it would be a huge problem if After Effects suddenly stopped working even though my license is valid.

I’ve followed all the troubleshooting steps mentioned in another thread, but nothing seems to fix it. I’m getting desperate. Thanks in advance.

Following up on this, as well. @Joy Raisinghani - tried these steps and it didn't work. Asked ChatGPT and it said that I was missing "Adobe Licensing" and "com.adobe.licensing.helper." Created a new admin user to install to the root level rather than the user level, and it still did not work. Still receiving the popup window.

The window does not appear when I run in safe mode. And all of the other Adobe apps all appear to be running just fine regardless of what is happening with After Effects.

I am down to 4 more days left.

Terminal commands did NOT work for me.

Please help Adobe, what happens when the timer gets to 0?

Olá a todos,

Para solucionar o problema, apenas atualizei o "aescripts + asplugins" para última versão (1.9.710.0).

Same Issue here. Got 3 days remaining and a running project with a hard deadline. So any fix ? The Terminal command did not worked. Tried it different times.

Here my set up:

Sequia 15.5

After Effects 25.5.0

Really fed up  with the instability. UPDATE PLEASE.

Olá @Joy Raisinghani

Estou tendo o mesmo problema, mas no meu caso uso o Windows 11. Saberia informar como resolvê-lo?

It looks like user had bad licensing cache.

Hi. I am also having the same issue and tried the suggestions here as well as the terminal commands suggested, but Premiere Pro is still showing the same message. Any other suggestions? Same as everyone here, I didn't change anything in my workstation but after the aescripts + aeplugins issues this week, the message started popping up just in Premiere Pro. The rest of the apps are fine. Thank you.

Seems like it worked, thank you @Joy Raisinghani !
That annoying message isn't showing anymore.

I'd like to know if it also works for @stuh6815553 and @Conor37977424udva
