 Johan Elzenga You areRight, but not everyone have enough iCloud space storage to do full devices backups. No iCloud full backu,  no Personal Computer full backup with no Adobe creative cloud subscription and sync means :

Adobe lightroom iOS 5.4 update deleted all customers data, pictures and presets.

I hope most buyed presets will be found again in the iTunes Store purchase history.

This is just. I can't even. 😞 I have lost hundreds of dollars of presets 😞

YOU APOLOGIZE? That's all you have to say for deleting thousands of dollars of content and hundreds of dollars of presets?!? You should be FIXING and restoring, not apologizing.

THIS IS INSANE. You deleted ALLLLLL of my hundreds of dollars of presets and pictures and you just say it's OUR responsibility to RESTORE our devices??? Are you serious?! How is this not a lawsuit!?

There is a restore method if you use an iPhone or iPad and make automatic backups to Apple iCloud. You'll have to restore the entire device, however.

If you have a PC and Mac, then you could do that, but a lot users use only the free version and store all on mobile device. And I am not aware that there is a single restore on a mobile device. Sad!

Apple should implement a per app restore, as with macOS Time machine.

 I am trying macOS app amazing (my upgrade +- 20 $) for avoiding future iOS issues, who can appendicitis's with any software / company. Please Procreate don't.
I'm not fully used to it, and don't know if you can restore just one app.
i am pretty sure you can retrieve Lightroom files from previous backup.

What they are doing better than apple ! :

their own backups are incrementals for one month :
One big slow backup
after, only the daily, hourly, weekly,  differences are backup if you want it to (+- as Time machine).
Backup differences are keeped one month.
Backups can be located on external drive.

Saddly the good days of apple are behind them. No more Time machine like innovation. just little UI things and gadgets every years. Laptop with non-upgradable memory & disk storage after buying.
