Yesterday when I use the Lightroom Mobile, it was okay. I still have my presets and pictures saved in the apps but today , 18th August 2020 , after I updated the apps on Apps Store, all of my pictures and presets gone. I really need this to be fix as soon as possible. Please help me as I really need all those pictures and presets.

This is exactly correct. If you don’t make backups you leave yourself wide open to data loss. Yes, this time it was Adobes fault, but you can just as easily lose data other ways, theft of iPad, corruption, accidental deletion. For those who never made any backups of any sort, it’s a life lesson learnt. I lost a load of photos last year when a memory stick got corrupted, luckily I had another backup, so all I really lost was a bit of time. It’s your data, look after it.

Make sure to always have a backup, you don’t know what kind of problem or unforeseen catastrophe could make you lose all your photos. I lost a bunch of photos in 2008.

Luckily I hadn’t opened Lightroom during the period of these problems, I wouldn’t want to have to redownload everything.

I subscribe with the 1tb storage and store all my originals in the cloud, but also have Lightroom download/store originals on an external drive.

I also use an iPad Pro 11 to ingest/import original images from my camera after shooting rather than a pc, as I do it on the go as well as editing, and sync them online immediately, I don’t delete anything off the SD cards of the camera until they’re also backed up to the external drive.

Just use 5.4.1 and restore your originals from cloud sync.

You’re only missing presets? You have purchased them so can just download them again can’t you?

Did you sync originals to the cloud In your settings? Or just smart previews? Either way something should be there for subscribers iirc

This is so heartbreaking for me. I shot several images using the LR Mobile Camera feature so as to get RAW images I could later edit. I was in the wilderness with no cell signal and had my phone on Airplane mode. I shot an incredible sunset on Mt Adams and then some fantastic images of my partner with the mountain in the background. I was able to view and edit while in the field but was planning to do the bulk of my edits on my desktop once I got back. Due to not having an internet signal, no backups were able to be made. I never thought in a million years something like this could happen. So disappointing. All of my images are gone!

I have read the whole thread and cant find MrRodney saying "always backup, it is all your own fault" Weirdly quiet from him. 😉

I didn’t install the update just making a comment that adobe bears responsibility to they’re customers. I never update immediately always wait to see what bugs come out. Plus I back up to 3 separate storage systems. Been a professional photographer since 1970.

@Ron Cartier
There we are, a chap who didn't sync now threatening a Class Action because of his own mistake. No law firm on the planet will even talk to you about this unless you are willing to post a big check for advance legal work, and then will tell you that you have no standing anyway.
