When using the remove tool in the latest beta version of Photoshop, I end up with a black smudge mark (see attached photo). Am I the only one with this issue? Thanks
Comment faire ? Merci. Alain
Thank you @iv51153665. Please let us know if it returns even after More Stable is selected. Some users are reporting it is an intermittent issue and is not solved by the preference change Thanks again, Meredith
The remove tool is about as useful as an a-hole on my elbow. Why would you hype this?
I tried to remove a piece of fabric that had fallen into the lower right corner of the frame. I re-applied the remove tool a dozen times. Not one edit was even close to functional. I could have done twice as good of a job in half the time with the old-school clone tool. Instead, I wasted my time installing this Beta version and re-applying the remove tool to no avail. Super frustrating to see just how horribly useless your new AI is. Please get it together or stop acting like this new tech is ready or in any way useful. You are just getting our hopes up and setting us up for a big F-ing letdown.
I had a similar problem in that using the remove tool the object selected turned white. I then used the generative tool around the white spot created by the remove tool and it removed the item and added a similar background as the rest of the picture.
Bloody hell. So, today the "remove tool" is broken again. I don't get it. It's back to just placing black blobs where I paint. In the attached example, I was trying to paint out this guy's watch.
this makes it so hard to use this tool when you cant see where painting or what us undernieth if you got the edge etc. Taking out black dust and marks is not impossoble ...pls change back or allow color and opacity

After last update remove tool became unusable: very often instead of removing just paints black blobs like simple black brush (sometines the blobs black with some other color inside).
In Debbie's case it was definitely a poor performance issue, but when I see 'black blobs' it sounds more display related. Try Deactivate Native Canvas, and see if that helps.
