P: Can't cmd+tab to web browser (Chrome ver: 16.0.912.75) from CS6 (OSX/10.6.8)

When cmd+tabbing between Photoshop CS6 and Google Chrome, Photoshop document windows remain visual on top (but inactive). The web browser window is called up over other applications, but remains behind Photoshop. The problem seems to only happen when switching to Chrome.

Photoshop ver 13.0.1
Mac OSX ver. 10.6.8
Chrome ver: 16.0.912.75

Oh great! I just found this thread and this bug has been annoying me for quite a long time. Hopefully the fix will come soon! 🙂

And as a temporary fix I moved Photoshop to another desktop space and now the cmd + tab works all good.

I'm on OSX 10.11.3 and Chrome 49.0.2623.87 (64-bit).

FYI @9264381, spoke with an Adobe Support Associate and relayed this thread and its counterpart over at Chrome support. Received the following. So they're aware of the bug and an update to fix the problem is pending. As to when it will arrive, your guess is as good as mine.

We are working on this issue.Soon you will get the update that will fix the problem .

Thanks and regards

I can also confirm, the bug is not depending on a selected tool. It happens always 😞

Unfortunately I am finding it happens with any tool selected.

I can confirm the bug only happens when you have the move tool selected, the moment another tool is selected you can command tab backwards and forwards from photoshop to chrome. I am also using OSX 10.11.3

I never experienced this bug until today and it's exactly as others have described. After tabbing to Chrome from PS, the Chrome window flickers and then disappears. Yesterday I upgraded from OS X 10.10.5 to 10.11.3 (El Capitan), so I wonder if that's related. Using PhotoShop CC 20160113.r.355 x64 and Chrome 49.0.2623.87 (64-bit).

Hey Adobe,

are you looking for a solution for your customers?

This problem is a big pain in my daily workflow.
I have to switch several hundred times between photoshop and chrome per day. Looking at html wireframes, designing in photoshop.

Please help. Thank you.

Here's an interesting twist. I have a few files open in Photoshop and sometimes when I hover over something in Chrome, the title of the very first document in Photoshop is displayed. I don't know if this is related, but definitely strange behavior. Here's a screenshot of it happening while I'm editing a Tumblr theme (in Chrome): http://3cd.co/2R0h1c3x3O03
