P: Crashes every time I close out a photo (win)

I have updated CC 2015, both Lightroom and Photoshop. I can open Photoshop and can open a photo. Every time I close out a photo, Photoshop crashes with the message, Adobe Photoshop CC has stopped working. It will now close.

I can't use the new update;

Why does the July 30 Photoshop "update" not deal with this problem? LAME.

I downloaded the Photoshop CC 2015 yesterday. Issue: when I delete a picture from the work space or exit the program all together, PS freezes and the messaged is that Photoshop is not responding.

This topic is about a crash when closing document windows.

There is another topic about crashes on launch and how to solve them. See http://feedback.photoshop.com/photosh...

The Photoshop team is testing solutions to the known issues, as you can already see by reading the existing responses in the topics.

Still waiting on that fix.

This isn't a great solution as it doesn't fix it for everyone, myself included. I have to erase my preferences almost every time I open the application.

I have to agree with you. This is unacceptable.

CC has the potential to bring us down big time by releasing software that doesnt work. Photoshop 2015 CC crashes everytime I try to start it. I've seen recommendations to disable "use video processor" but I can't get in to do that. Furthermore, this is a critical application to a large business, we can't afford to go down for days trying to fix an application.

How long till there is a solution. Once you get used to using the graphics processor, it is a pain in the rear to go back.

I am a bit thick so bear with me but just how does this "shift control alt" thingy work?

I click to open photoshop CC and instantly hit shift control and alt....but nothing happens it just irritatingly loads up and gives me the welcome screen and lets get started option......I would if I could but it crashes and locks up after every save of a photo telling me to disable things in the preference screen......which I cant get to.

Thankfully this a is Canon provided subscription and is "free"...if I was paying I would be very upset

Update

hey I'm a Geek now......you don't need all this control shift malarkey.....simply go to edit...preferences...performance from the Photoshop screen when its open....and deselect as suggested.....why do people make things complicated?
