P: CS6 / CC Keyboard shortcuts not responding Mavericks/Yosemite MacOS 10.9; 10.10

Actually it worked for me... I just reinstalled CS6 yesterday and I haven't got the bug since. I used to get it several times a minute. Worth a try if you have a copy!

Edit: I take that back, the bug is still there. Don't bother.

You can downgrade to MacOS 10.8 at any time.

We cannot give out dates for Apple OS updates.

Going back to CS6 won't help, you'd have to go all the way back to CS5. I'm working on CS6 now and its exactly the same problem.

Adobe I've said this before, but I think it's pathetic you won't even give us a date to work to. It's a bit like asking someone to build you a house, but they won't tell you when you can move in. By saying 'we worked on this today' makes me feel like you only picked up this issue again once this forum became more active. If I didn't know better, I would say it was forgotten...

This bug is really frustrating and totally kills any motivation I have to retouch at the moment.

I'm not under any contractual agreement with Adobe anymore. I signed up to CC so I could get regular updates and bug fixes. As far as I'm concerned, i'm not getting that, so CC is providing no value to me.

If this issue isn't resolved by the end of March, i'm cancelling my CC subscription and going back to CS6. There's your date to work to. I hope others follow suite.

Until this problem is resolved - Adobe should offer all those affected with a free downgrade.

I agree, the problem isn't insignificant at all. If anything, It's one of the most annoying bugs / problems I've come across using any software since the early 90's. In fact It's annoyed me so much and kept slowing my productivity down, that I bit the bullet, and reformatted my Mac on Saturday evening.

I must say, since the clean install and going back to Mountain Lion, I haven't had a single issue with Photoshop CC. I've been working all day today in PS CC, painting, changing brushes, using different tools such as shapes etc. I've NOT had the unresponsive keys once in the 10 or so hours my Mac has been used for. In comparison, It was happening every 10 minutes or less on Mavericks.

I certainly won't upgrade back to Mavericks anytime soon, at least until Adobe / Wacom / Apple resolve this issue. ML seems solid, and I'd recommend anyone who is finding working PS a nightmare under Mavericks, to either revert back to the operating system that came with your Mac, or use an older version of PS (if you have a copy).

If you do go for the clean install option of your Mac's OS, remember to back up everything - files, brushes, settings etc. I backed up everything to 3 external Hard drives just in case. My Mac came with Lion (and no disc drive), so I reinstalled Lion using Internet Recovery. And as I say, now everything is reinstalled, I'm happily working away in Photoshop without any bugs.

For those of you who have tried the two known "workarounds" which one would you recommend:

Keep Mavericks and go back to CS5 or keep CS6 and go back to Mountain Lion?
