P: CS6 / CC Keyboard shortcuts not responding Mavericks/Yosemite MacOS 10.9; 10.10

Since Installing Mavericks on my mac pro, the keyboard shortcuts, such as zooming in/out, undo etc, intermittently do not respond.
I have to click on another tool in the tool bar to get the keyboard to respond again.
The problem returns intermittently and seemingly not as a result of the Auto Save function.
My mac pro 15" has 8gb of ram which is more than enough for the type of work I do.I am an illustrator who primarily works around the brush tool.
Have tried disabling Graphics Processor and restarting, but this does not resolve the issue.

Any help would be most appreciated.

It disables any utilities which could be causing a conflict.

Hi, I am running the update and still no better. Shortcuts in other programs like Sketchbook Pro respond fine. Sorry for my ignorance but how does booting in safemode help?

It sounds like you're hitting some other issue. Are you running the 10.10.1 update? Have you tried booting in safemode to disable system utilities: http://blogs.adobe.com/crawlspace/201...

Hi Sander, sounds like you have the same problems as me and the same set up. Have you had any luck yet?

I definitely had the same problems with Mavericks but is has increased tenfold with Yosemite.

I don't think the problem lies with Yosemite as it was first reported with OS 10.9 and CS6. And tool switching with a Wacom attached works perfectly under Yosemite in Pixelmator or, for that matter, Adobe Illustrator. Anyway, it's not an event 'delay' issue, it's an shortcut not registering, half the time nothing happens when you press keys, which is kind of fundamental for working in a program.

Hi Jeffrey, tried that and no, that didn't fix it. Still the same thing.

Thanks. Does it matter which previous version you downgrade to?

Yes, the fix for the known MacOS issue event delay issue is built into Photoshop CC 2014.

If you really need to get work done, you may want to consider downgrading to a more stable version of MacOS until Apple can get the kinks worked out of MacOS 10.10.

Hi

I am also having the same problems (Photoshop CC 2014 and Yosemite) Switching between tools does nothing until you click on a layer. Also, step backwards does not work until you click a layer and then you have to undo the new stroke action you have just done and then step backwards a second time to remove what you orignally wanted to undo.

I am falling behind on work because of this and really need to get it sorted.

Is the fix built into CC 2014 or not?

Regards

Alex
