P: CS6/CC Menus blank (white) Mavericks Mac OS X 10.9

Hello, I hope I am in the right place for this:

I am on a Mac 2.2 GHz Intel Core i7, with 16 GB 1333 MHz DDR3. I just installed OS Mavericks. I am running Photoshop CS6.

Randomly throughout using the program, my windows/palettes (i.e. the layers palette) will become white. Even the "Save" window menu will become white. It's still functional (if I press enter on the save menu, it will save), but I can't see any of the options. I've uninstalled the program and reinstalled. This has unfortunately not solved the problem. Please help

Thanks for the help in advance!

Michael

OK, we've only seen a few crashes with the blank menus - all seem to be due to a corruption in the CoreGraphics state. The good news is that we have some steps to reliably reproduce the blank menus and are working with Wacom to debug the issue..

Yes, they are different behaviours, but what I meant was that the programme will sometimes freeze, and then come back after about 20-30 seconds, OR it will freeze for some time and THEN fully crash. This is sometimes in association with the blank menus, sometimes not. I am trying to note any patterns in the behaviour, but all of the above has been happening.

Freezing and Crashing are two very different behaviors. But you are talking about menus and OS windows drawing blank, which is neither of the previously mentioned behaviors.

Please see the previous discussion in this topic about what has been observed about this problem with Wacom drivers and MacOS 10.9.

Frequently the dialogue box that appears when selecting tools or menu options appears as an empty white box. This usually then leads on to the whole canvas going white and the programme freezing/crashing. This is becoming increasingly frequent, despite bug updates. Also, both Photoshop and Illustrator have been freezing/crashing recently, mainly after coming back into them from Mail or Chrome. Could any of this be down to the Mavericks OS, as I have noticed all these problems since installing it?

I have the same Problem with Photoshop CS5 and Mavericks. Also PS reports problems with the GPU. I don't have installed any Wacom device.

My config is:
MacBook Pro, 15", mid of 2010
Memory 8 GB 1067 Mhz DDR3
OS X 10.9.1 Mavericks
Photoshop CS5

But I feel like Mavericks has display problems in general. My second screen occasionally turns black.

Issues with Photoshop CC:
-delays when using brush palette
-dialogue boxes appearing white with no options
(i.e.: top of file windows are white and cannot exit or minimize
drop down menus appear white)
All updates are done when they are made available. Is this an issue with Photoshop or the operating system? I am currently running OS X 10.9.1.
This issue continues to happen, whether one file or multiple files are open in the program.

Yes, people have tried reinstalls - no change.

The only thing that seems to change it is removing the wacom driver, or not using the wacom tablet.

Hey guys! Have the exact same damn issue here! Blank menus all over, usually happening between 5minutes to 2hours using the program...

Anyone tried to uninstall and re-install Photoshop? Maybe that would solve the problem?

Hey Ruud.

Its strange because sometimes I can go a week without seeing the blank menus. I always ctrl key to bring up the sub menu but use the wacom key a lot to pan around.
Realizing this I think I never used the second wacom key as its too high up to bother with. So, as I'm still getting the blank menus, it might be nothing to do with the wacom keys. At least for me.
When I do get the blank menu I know that I haven't yet used any of the keys yet.

Here is the system I'm working on.
Mac Mini: Processor 2.35 Ghz Intel Core Duo, (early model)
Memory 4 GB 1067 Mhz DDR3
OS X 10.9.1 Mavericks
Photoshop CS5
Wacom Bamboo driver v5.3.3-3

It would be good to know the specs of anyone working at Adobe who's working on this problem.
